Some relief for TSA workers this morning, retroactive paychecks are finally landing, even with the shutdowns still ongoing, full pay may take a little bit longer though, but I mean, it's a start. In the news for them and the rest of us, gas prices are above four bucks nationwide now, according to AAA, the average is now $4.01 a gallon up from $2.98 just a month ago, and it's a big week at the U.S. Supreme Court.

3:14Justices are reviewing a death penalty case involving claims of racial bias and jury selection. So this case involves Terry Pitchford, who was convicted and sentenced to death for his role in the 2006 murder of a grocery store owner, Mississippi. Pitchford's friend is the one who actually pulled the trigger, but was not eligible for the death penalty because he was under the age of 18. Now the district attorney in the case eliminated all except one black juror in Pitchford's trial. And separately, the court's going to hear arguments on Donald Trump's push to end birthright citizenship this week, critics say it violates constitution. Supporters argue that the 14th Amendment has been misinterpreted and was only intended to ensure former slaves and their children were recognized as U.S. citizens after the Civil War, or all arguments will kick off tomorrow. They don't care about people of color, and the Republicans do, and that's in this concession. And you know what I heard you wanted to be saying? People don't know that the Democrats are the party of the KKK. Yeah. People don't know that the Republicans are the party that free the slaves. Yeah. Most of you and I have some conservative views. You just a little bit more outspoken about it than I am. And honestly, I don't subscribe to any party. I'll rock with W.E.D. the boys when he said this. No such thing as two parties is just one evil party with two different names.

7:21I'm not married to any party. Right. I voted for Donald Trump because we had two options, and he was definitely by far the better option for us. You know, there's a misnomer. People love to say that Abraham Lincoln and the Republicans freed the slaves. That is a... That party has been so different for so long. There was a party switch, so I would really love for them to do their homework before they say Republicans had a party. Yeah, I remember that. No. Did you tell me the party switched? The South gradually shifted Republican, and it just, I'm so glad, because I'm so tired of hearing that, that the Republicans freed the slaves. Oh my gosh, take a history lesson. Yeah, yeah, and in his action is actually, uh, I mean, the way Roland Martin explained is way more to it than that. Yeah, it was a shift. Yeah, it was a shift, not a flip, but as I said, but it was more of a shift, but the shift. He even talked about the lily white Republicans, the Republicans, and the lily white Republicans. And then you got to read dog Democrats and the blue dog Democrats. Yes. It's a lot to it. It's really complicated. It's not as simple. Yeah, right. Oh, yeah. You always should think about stuff because you agree to something just because you feel good at the moment. You didn't have you not thinking about the details of what comes with what you agree with. Yeah.

11:22You get them on the phone and ask them the question. Let them give you a really good answer so you can articulate properly. Right. You know what I'm saying? You'd be on the right side of the issue, but you can also articulate it wrong. Yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Okay. Here's one I know all of us. Everybody's got to deal with this. Let people be wrong. We don't have to correct everybody. Like, no, no, no. Like, don't you ain't got to fight with people. Just let them be wrong. It's an extent. Yeah. That's hard to do. Yeah. I'm happy to see him. He made me look crazy. Right. I know how I'm right. Exactly. Now, if the wrong... The carry gon' fight you two for nail, then he won't be wrong, child. He right. Now, if the wrong has an effect on you, that's when... Well, sometimes I just listen and I just sit back and say to myself, hmm, look at his down there. But sometimes if the... As long as the wrong is not having the negative effect on you and yours, then there's different. Sometimes they can be wrong. Just let them... They people have their opinion because some people are made to argue. Sometimes you... Sometimes you could be on the right side of the issue. And they're going to argue.

12:23And they are... They are a great arguer. And you don't know how to argue that well. Right. And then you get confused and then they start throwing other stuff in there. Now, the conversation all over the place and they can still make you look stupid when you make it right. Change the narrative. Change the narrative. Change the narrative. Oh, yes. I don't know people who do that. I don't know what it is. Give it like, wait a minute. That's when you deal with narcissists and liars and manipulators. They're good at it. Great at it. And the best thing to do is just to be quiet and let them handle it. Be like Scooby Doo. Walk away. Yeah. All right. How about this one, y'all? That brings me to this one. Care less about what people think. It's not possible to care about everything and everybody. You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? You know what my dad used to say about me. If you don't, if I don't care about you, then I don't care about what you think. Right. Right. Let me say that, though. I don't think that's true, though. Yeah. Well, that's kind of why you get a coat of armor and you start caring about what people have to say. Especially people who are not your family who are not close to you. You know what I mean? Well, your ass won't get a courtroom everywhere.

What you want my parents to be saying and want me to have some twists and looking like, you know what I'm saying? Not looking professional. You know how you look. You know how you came in there. You walk in certain rooms, man, that people are not operating at your level. And I mean, when I say level, they ain't got nothing to do with them. I'm not a principal.
