Meanwhile, in Greensboro on Monday, he turned to healthcare affordability. His plans include reinstating premium tax credits from the Affordable Care Act, capping out of pocket costs for prescriptions, and pushing reforms on, insurance companies to make coverage cheaper. Cooper draws on his time as governor from 2017 to 2025, where he expanded Medicaid to cover nearly 700,000.
