ROTC Cadets Ruck March for UNC-Duke Basketball Rivalry

Ball for this weekend's Big Man's basketball rivalry game. About 30 cadets from both schools will hike 12 miles from Chapel Hill to Durham with heavy packs on Friday morning. They're calling it a Ruck March, which means trudging along with around 35 pound loads on their backs, just like in military training. Discoorded by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the group sets off early and plans to reach Cameron Indoor Stadium around 1pm. This event highlights the strong bonds between the cadets even as their schools battle fiercely on the court. It's been going on for years, switching directions each time based on who's hosting. Local support groups like the Carolina Veterans Alumni Association and the American Legion are pitching in with refreshments at the finish line too. Cheer them on.
