On April 2nd, just before midnight on Wednesday, a building roof came crashing down on Romney Street in Ashton Underline, totally smashing a part, car below. The collapse happened right above the Hashem food store in Tameside, leaving a massive heap of bricks piled on the vehicle photos from the scene are, wild. No one got hurt, which is a huge relief, and locals are breathing easy after what could have been a real disaster. Police from Greater Manchester rushed in, set up a cordon around the spot, and shut down that stretch of the street to keep everyone safe. Officials are still investigating what caused the roof to give way, but for now, the area is locked down tight while they sort it out.
