I was Roman Anthony hitting his second home run of the year as first in his return to the red socks lineup. It is Jones and Keith brought to you by Avalino's restaurant and catering Medford's kitchen for 34 years. It's nice to see me to a lesser degree Trevor story coming back and in hitting which he is. Roman Anthony. Keith. Yep. We had a caller yesterday say this looks like world baseball classic Roman Anthony. It sure does. I think that's accurate to say he's got a four game hitting street coming back. He's got multiple hits in every game. He's hitting 500 right? He's nine of 18 coming back. He has the home run. He had a triple. He's got a couple of doubles. He's only drawn one walk, but that's because he's hitting everything. He's just like on base all the time. He's only struck out a couple of times too, which is really promising to see. He's been awesome.
And again, I was a little hesitant to put him right back in the lead off spot because I felt like you were putting a lot of pressure on the guy. But you know what? He was ready for it. He was absolutely ready for it. He was killing it in Worcester. He was killing it in Portland before he got called up. And this is what the team needs. I know they're losing right now, but just take that. That is an absolute bright spot. And it's sort of coming, you know, come playoff time. Chad Tracy knows at least who the first four hitters on the team are going to be. Yeah. I think five through nine is going to be jumbled around and who even knows who's for sure going to be in the lineup. But one through four looks really, really good. I think you can go to any series feeling pretty good about that. So you look at what Roman Anthony's hitting. You went through some of the numbers. Yeah. It's nine for 18, 504 games. Again, multiple hits in all four of those games, including three yesterday. It's killing it. I was just scrolling to try to find his exit. Vilos too. I thought I thought I started on it. It's like five or six of his hits are all like a hundred plus miles an hour.
So these aren't little bleeders. No, he looks like he belongs. And I agree. I think the first four in the lineup key for set. Who would you hit fifth? If you're going to Anthony, Roth, IElla, a Breyu congera. I don't know. Don't have Curtis Meade. Probably not, right? If I have Curtis Meade, it might be Meade. OK. Let's say you do. Let's say, let's say all options are on the table. Who's your number five header? Curtis Meade. Then I'm going. Mickey Gaspur on my lineup. Then I'm, oh, I don't know. Is he behind the dish? Is he? I can't trust Rutchman. I don't have Rutchman. Certainly I haven't met him. If Anthony's in left field. Or is Anthony the, I guess I'm saying if Anthony's in left field, you got some room at DH. If you want to bump Durant out. OK, Mickey Gaspur. Mickey Gaspur. Hey, you're so fine. You like Gaspur five? You like Bresla's answer today about Mickey Gaspur. He's like, it's almost when he gets a single. He's letting you down. Yeah. Well, you sent him down. Yeah, well, sure. Also, by the way, you sent him down. You did. Which I'm glad Greg was like, don't do that. Don't do that ever again. Greg said their relationship has come a long way. Yeah. And it might have a setback if you send out Mickey Gaspur ever.
No, I guess somebody that I would have Mickey Gaspur. Then you have Curtis Meade. Then you can have Durbin. And then you kind of figured out, I don't know who's going to be behind the plate. But like Durbin, Rutchman's story might be your bottom three. Which honestly is a pretty good bottom three, depending on where Meade fits in there if he's back. But I don't even know if it's Rutchman. How could you, I mean, how could you feel good about that? I don't. He's hurt or bad. You okay? It's not a great combo. No, no. And one might be got to the other, but still it is, it's been an issue. I don't know if you can rely on it. And that's why you're like, well, Connor Wong, like would you rather this version of Rutchman or Connor Wong? Like honestly, Connor Wong's better. And then it gets into the question about making gasp from behind the plate. Unlikely, I think to happen, we can ask Bradford about it. If he thinks that's even a consideration. I don't get why they wouldn't toy around with it in these. In the regular season, they should. Right. And if come playoff, then we're like, oh, this guy can't throw in your arms out. You're not taking anything else seriously. You're throwing a Dixon bias. Right. And you're going to have your gasp wave in the white flag, at least according to Michael K and Aaron Boone,
and gains against the Yankees. So like, but you don't care about any of these. Well, right now, true. I mean, he had another sick pick. Who else is going to play at the front? He's barely trying to story out. And straight up like three errors already, at least. If it wasn't for gasp. Yeah, so that's a fair point. Who else was playing first base? I didn't like when Monasterio was over there. We're so tired. Yeah, so fair. Maybe so guard. But right, you do need to make catcher. That's right. Right now. But I'd experiment with that. I catchers to see how it looks. Yeah, because again, you know you're playing the Yankees, right? It's pretty much locked in. I feel like you could use his lefty bat specifically against Schlittler in game one. That might be the game where you go. All right, screw it. We're sacrificing defense to get any offense. He's behind the plate. I want to see how it looks. He should be there against Cole too. I mean, Garry Cole. I always catch a two out of three games against the Yankees. He might be. I mean, let's they might have 40 steals. Okay, fine. Well, you might hit a home run with him. You might get some offense. What would they say of jazz chiseled stall? What would they say? I don't have a real conibction.
Careful. Will they have a real hard time with that? Is will back for this series or is his suspension still going? Good. He does not suspended. Oh, that's right. I don't see you scheduled off for that. Don't feed into that. Don't do that. All right, but is it was this a scheduled series offers? I actually don't know. All right. I don't know. Looking forward to that. But um, yeah, Mickey Gaspers should definitely be in against any of the good righties, whether it's D.H. Ketcher, whatever. Find a spot for him. He should be in against those guys. Okay. I'm Jennifer and I'm Angela Kinsey. And we have the podcast office ladies. Every Wednesday will be sharing even more exclusive stories and lots of laughs. I love you guys have picking the line up for the playoffs. We just almost got swept by Seattle. Where are you guys around 2011? What? Well, you're picking the line up for the playoffs.
We just got almost swept by Seattle. John, there's John. There's six up on a playoffs spot with no, well, no, there's six up on a playoffs spot with 22 to go. You think they're going to fall out of the playoffs? They was seven up with seven eight to go. Oh, well, I 2011 again, you have a listening problem. When I said this earlier, I said, I said in 2011, it happened in this town has let the listeners down. John, okay. This is what's going on. The reason why you have a piece of it. You guys are picking the line up for the playoffs. Or we just got destroyed by Seattle. You're all in together. So you're super worried, John. John, you got to play like John. You better. John, you said you're real worried about the Seattle series. You think they're going to miss the playoffs? Not real worried, but we can lose 10 in a row. So quick. Your head will spin. Okay, but so the point is so great. John, what do you think? John, what are you saying? I don't know. John's just mad at me. And he's talking to other people. I don't think he's helpful. John, nice. Well, John, John, real quick, you know what we're saying. We think they're going to make the playoffs and they're going to play the games.
No idea what you're saying. What exactly are you saying? They're going to miss the playoffs or they're not? I'm saying I watched the last two games, a flat team can't pick runners up and score and present. I'm not hearing an answer. Yeah, he doesn't know. I'm giving you the answer. Are they making the playoffs or no? It's yes or no. Let's get there. It's 50 50. How's that? That's terrible. You're the most on the fence answer. That's almost on the fence answer I've ever heard. I'm not kicking the batting line up for the playoffs. Like you clowned. You're not doing anything. You're too wide in Nickname and insulting us. You're making it. You're insulting us. You're calling us names. You're calling us names. You're making it on a nickname basis. What's our nickname? Oh, Maddie Gasper. What's his nickname? His name is Mickey Dasker. Why do you talk about the horrible baseball the last week? We did. Why do you talk about if we go to sweat this? This next series. Johnny, you're all giving you a call. You are a waste from now. I'll have a second. My guy. Hold on. If Pia starts to play that way, I think you're in trouble. I'll give you that. If Pia starts running these games, red socks are the last of them.
Every games can I call you back on Saturday? I'm not going to your set. I'm not going to your set. You can call me. You don't think this team's capable of sliding five in a row? Do us a favor. Call us every day until the end of the season. That's a clowns. You've already said that, John. I think you sound like a nice guy. Can you talk about the baseball from yesterday? How bad was he? We talked about the baseball. We talked about the day before. John. Well, now I'm going to have to have therapy after all these names are called us. I'm going to hang up. It's freaking nuts. It's mean, we talked about, we were worried about their focus going into October, but I think they're going to get to October. I mean, if he doesn't, he doesn't, he said 50, 50. He actually doesn't have an opinion of a movie. Could they lose five in a row? Let me rephrase. I mean, they could. I mean, any team in the team falls to lose five in a row. Do I? That's great, man. Once that anything is possible. I mean, I think we're going to have to have the playoffs like 2011, which John and fairness I did mention long before you did. Sure did. I don't think so. I wouldn't wager on it. I guess it's possible. They're not playing good baseball. I think we talked about that. They are going to make the playoffs. What do they do once they get there? I have no idea, but they are going to make the playoffs. You guys just call them by their nicknames, Mickey Gaspers.
The ass is actual. He said, Matti Gaspers. Oh, he said, Matti Gaspers. We like nicknames. We're the nicknames show. We are the nicknames show, but Mickey Gaspers is like his name. He's killing it. I thought he said Matti Gaspers. But he was like besmarting the month that he had. Yeah. It's not not a good month. So, I mean, so he's one like so two really bad games against Seattle outweigh the month and a half production of Mickey Gaspers. Yeah. Yeah. But where are the clowns? Yeah. He kept saying that and it really started to bother me. Because now I'm like, am I a clown? And now I'm going to have to think about that the rest of the day. Damn. Well, I'm not saying they're going to miss the playoffs. I think it's 50. You're never have an opinion. All right. 50, 50, 50, they make playoffs 50, 50, 50. Good take. Actually three minutes to get that out of John, but no, he ain't call back the playoffs. I can think it's swept or call back when the Red Sox take three out of four call back either way. We're happy to hear it. We're here. Tend to two. The playoff percentage is right now. I won't play guest and percentages. Ooh, I think I saw in Ken's email this morning. It was like 97%. Ken's chat GPT email. Is that the same?
Yep. I thought I saw 97% playoff. Yeah, 96.8. Oh, that was 99 though. Oh, that was 99 though. Ooh, it dropped. You made it. Oh, John's on the subject. Not quite 50, 50. John's got us there. That's more Cleveland Guardians are more 50, 50 to make the playoffs. 617, 779. Arizona, I'm a dented actor. More 50, 50. 793, 70. He fired up. He's running hot, which I get. You're so mean. Red Sox are playing four days ball. I was so mean. And I don't think there's necessarily great injury updates going on with the Red Sox. Either we can get to that next.
