Roger McCreary Moves to Lions, Rams Strengthen CB Corps

0:00On March 13th, former Ram's quarterback, Roger McCreary, has signed a one-year contract with the Detroit Lions. He joined Los Angeles via trade at the 2025 deadline, but is now moving on in free agency. McCreary appeared in just six games for the Rams, sitting out four due to injuries. In limited action, he recorded four tackles over 38 defensive snaps. He's the second corner from the Rams to depart this off-season, following Kobe DeRan to the Dallas Cowboys. Fans aren't shot, as the team prioritized other defensive backs. Los Angeles traded for Trent McDuffy and added Jalen Watson as clear starters next to Emmanuel Forbes Jr. They also brought back safety Cam Curle for depth. With these moves in place, the Rams looks set a cornerback heading into next season, leaving little room for McCreary's return.
