Metz manager Carlos Mendoza told reporters on Friday that Stock needs testing to figure out the issue. Stock brings solid experience to Israel's roster as one of the few with Major League time. He's appeared in 57 big league games across five seasons with the Padres, Red Sox, Cubs, and Metz. He also pitched for Israel in the 2023 tournament, earning one save. In 2025, Stock posted a 5-in-4 record with a 3.92 ERA in triple A for the Worcester Red Sox. The team released him in August, but he bounced back by signing a minor league deal with the Metz last November. Team Israel's pool D games are right nearby at Lone Depot Park in Miami.
