On April 6th, a serious crash shut down Ripple Road in Barking last night and has been closed eastbound for over 12 hours now. It went down around 8.45 pm on Sunday, March 5th, right at the A123 near St. Erkenwald Road by Stag Island and the Little. Investigation teams are on scene digging into what happened, with the roads still blocked as they work. No word yet on how bad the damage is or if anyone's hurt. That closure is messing with local traffic big time, forcing five bus routes onto detours, EL1, EL2, EL3, all 3, 368 and 2. 87. Commuters and East London are feeling the squeeze this morning. Officials have a release details on injuries, but we've reached out to the Met Police and London ambulance service for updates. Severity remains unclear for now. Expect delays to stick around until they clear the site, so plan alternate routes if you're heading that way, more as it develops.
