Right Name, Wrong Person

0:00So you heard this morning's my little secret. Um, this guy, this guy was a mess. He thought that the woman he was dating was related to Harry Styles. And he thought there could be some sort of like amazing experience because of it. Like he would get to fly to go meet Harry Styles or something or to be a free vacation or something. He was purely in this relationship with the wrong reasons. And then he found out that the last name was spelled differently. So he ended things. Wampwamp. Yeah, you're sort of an awful person for doing all of it anyway. So this brought up that how many times have you gotten a work email or gotten something in the mail? And it was the right name, but the wrong person. In other words, there's more than one of you roaming the planet and you got, you know, your Michael Smith. Sorry, Michael Smith. There's a lot of you. Yeah. The one I think about right now is Jordan Davis, who plays for the Eagles. Yeah. And then you've got Jordan Davis, the country singer. Uh-huh. I guarantee you, Jordan Davis, the country singer has gotten messages that were going to be called by the way. And the country singer has gotten messages that were meant for Jordan Davis, who plays for the Eagles.

1:01And probably you know, famous people offers like, we love to have you come by and play around with all of us. Yeah, there's something like that. Or Riley Green, the singer and Riley Green, the baseball player. Exactly. Yes. So Jordan Davis, the Riley Green, please call in and tell us about the experiences. No, you, when did you get something that was, you shared a name with somebody else? And this was so meant for them, but you got it. And then what did you do? If you're Dallas, you just. 2:01The medical records and said they were my medical records and then I had all this treatment. And I was like, that's not me. And they're like, oh, it's a different date of birth and social. And I'm like, I know that's not me. Oh my gosh, they all they looked at was the name and not the date of birth and social. Oh my god. I really broke the hippo. So I know kidding. And so did you win? They dropped it. They dropped it. I didn't go. Wow. By the way, that would be the worst board game ever to play a medical records inspired called hungry, hungry hippo. Yeah. I know. I know. Folders of X-rays. Thank you very much. And you just grabbed it. That would be the worst game ever. Hold on. Anonymous, the original anonymous. Good morning. You got something sent to you that was meant for somebody else with the same name. Yeah, actually it was my husband's uncle. And he got something in the mail about buying a truck. And it was a construction company that was supposed to go to. But he went and bought the truck.

3:02And then later they figured out it was the wrong person. But yet he got that truck so cheap and wouldn't go back and pay any difference. I wouldn't. Yeah. So it's my last two jobs. Wow. So they were making him a good deal because he's probably going to buy a fleet of trucks. Yeah. Oh, wow. Yeah. That is amazing. I wouldn't go back either. Thank you for the call. That's crazy. And then there's a situation involving jury duty. Good morning. Good morning. Right person wrong name. We're good. What happened? Because Dallas loves jury duty. Yes. I just thought of Dallas when this story came up. And because I was in jury duty. And yes, Dallas almost got chosen. I'm glad I didn't know. I'm with you. But they were going through the role and you had to stand up when they called your name. And they call to say John Smith. And so the guy says, I'm the real John Smith. It's just hilarious.

4:03There can only be one. I am John Smith. Is it that like the most common name ever? Yeah. Oh, my God. Yes. I thought it was two. He did that. So how long did you have to be there before you, it's one day of jury duty, then they sent you on your way? It was two days. Two days. And on day number two, how far into did you get to lunch at least or no? They're like, 90, and you can go. Oh, I got questions. Oh. Oh. Yeah, they pull you in and they, you know, by your summons number. Well, I was like 47. I'm like, oh crap. I'm going to be up to the beginning. So of course, when they started lined up the jury pool, the one that actually went to question, I was the third blue light. That is my dream. Dallas wants to skinny dip in the jury pool. Thank you very much. That is my dream. I just want to be questioned. I just want to swim with the jurors. Yeah. I want to ask me questions. I want to do the breaststroke. Welcome to the show, Brian. 5:03Correct. My uncle, we say the same name first made on last name. I kept it letters in the mail about a DUI. Oh, no. And that's when we shot. And that's when we found out that my uncle Brian found himself in trouble. Oh, wow. Uncle Brian drove drunk. This could have affected you. Like if this had gotten messed up, you could have gotten pulled over for whatever. And you could have had an outstanding warrant. You're not supposed to drive. You have a DUI. And that's your uncle. Did you confront your uncle Brian? Brian. My mother did. My mother called her brother and said, hey, we got some words to say. You got to fix this. Oh, man. They got there. And you didn't even live with your uncle at the time. So this just showed up at your place. They had the wrong Brian. Yeah. Well, we lived. We lived a similar place in Wisconsin. We were close, but I was getting his mail for a court with Aaron. Wow. Brian. I'm glad it worked out. I'm glad you didn't get in trouble. I appreciate you very much, Brian. No kidding. 6:03Yes, that's right. I'm a seventh generation son. So I'm a junior. I get my dad's mail, my grandfather's mail, my great grandfather's mail, steal to this day. My dad is still with us. The other two have passed. All seven of us are named Larry Gilmore Lee. Wow. I ended the family name two years ago with my son, Elijah, disappointed the family. Oh, I'm Elijah. I'm not named after them. I'm not named by the way. I'm having the name of the sound in the one. Okay, after Marcus. He had the story that Marcus just told me. After Marcus is on the air. Hello. All right. So when I was in middle school, I got called down to the office to participate in this program and the main reason why I wanted to do it was because they had karate. So this was an athlete school pro that's what I wanted to do karate. Right. I'm picturing Marcus doing karate right now. You can talk about that later. was teaching you about reading and just, like I read it. So I participated in this program for three years and every year they would do an award ceremony

7:04at the end of the year. And I would get overall achiever every year, come to find out I was never supposed to be in this program. There was somebody else who had my name, they got the wrong person. No. I'm actually, this is for, I don't want to, like a gifted pro. Gifted. Yeah. Well, you're gifted in different ways. I know I was the gifted one they want. Oh, I should have never been included. I should have never been included. Whoa. So you were like, it was like a like program not for people who, for people that were failing. Got it. Got it. It was for struggling students. No one had you got over a cheat.
