0:00And I is rich, and welcome to another podcast. I thought a good reminder here for us would be to look to Jesus because Jesus is our great light. I was reading what it says here in Matthew 4-16. It says the people would sat in darkness saw great light and to them would sat in the region and shadow of death. The light is sprung up, Matthew 4-16, and that's how it is for you and I as we look to Jesus. But it's not just recognizing Him as the light is also taking that step of faith and putting our trust in Him alone for our salvation. That only He can save us, only His sacrifice can make us acceptable to God. And then to take up our cross and follow Him and make it our aim to live in obedience to His teachings. And then in Psalm 107 verses 10-14, speaking of those in darkness, I like this, listen to this.

1:01Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death being bound in affliction and iron because they rebelled against the words of God and condemned the counsel of the Most High. Therefore, He brought down their heart with labor. They fell down. And there was none to help. Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble. And He saved them out of their distresses. He brought them out of darkness in the shadow of death and break their bans in thunder. Then in Micah 7-8 it says, rejoice not against me, O mine enemy when I fall. I shall arise when I sit in darkness. The Lord shall be a light unto me, Micah 7-8. Even when we fall, He's there as a light to us and helps us back up, isn't that great? And then in Luke 178.79, speaking of Jesus through the tender mercy of our God, whereby the day spring from on high hath visited us

2:09to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death to guide our feet into the way of peace. And last, then spake Jesus again unto them saying, I am the light of the world. He that follow with me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life, John 8-12. Let's ever look to Jesus. And that's it for this podcast. And I shall visit with you next time.
