Dass wir das noch einmal erleben dürfen! Eine Fortsetzung von Monkey Island von Ron Gilbert. Die Nachricht ist dieses Jahr wie eine Bombe für alle Adventure Fans eingeschlagen und als die ersten Screenshots veröffentlicht wurden, kam die Kritik. Ja der Grafikstil ist gewöhnungsbedürftig, doch ist dieser schnell vergessen. Denn Story und Humor sind wieder 100% Monkey Island und das ist auch gut so. Einsteiger dürften jedoch mit diesen Teil etwas Probleme haben, da zahlreiche Jokes nur funktionieren, wenn man zumindest Teil 1 + 2 durchgespielt hat. Aber wer fängt schon ein Adventure mittendrinn in der Reihenfolge an? Return to Monkey Island ist wieder so nahe am Original wie schon lange nicht mehr und das ist auch gut so.
