The exponential surge of retail crime means an increase in costs for retailers and store owners. From self checkout staff to additional security personnel, the safety budget is soaring. As result of this items that are intended for sale are getting pricier and have created a separate type of inflation. While retailers try to find a way to manage these costs paying consumers are the ones who end up fitting the bill.
