Maybe a voice mail or two and some news, including Tiffany Stratton nearly paralyzing herself. And it got scary. Now, despite what I may think of her personally and she is a narcissist to a tee, she nearly broke her neck and it is all over social media.

And this is not during a live event. This was during her some kind of practice or some kind of maneuver she was doing on Twitch. And she was trying to do, I would imagine a splash or some kind of swan ton or some kind of dive over the top rope. And she jumps over and just kind of collapses vertically and hits her head. And that was, it's just a brutal, a brutal fall. And it seems like she's okay. She landed on a mat, but still, even if you land on a soft surface, your neck can only absorb so much shock before you seriously injure yourself. And it seems as again, she's okay. But the funny thing is, if you can find funny out of this, is that the person who was recording her after she got dropped on her head was said the words, you good? Cause you know, that's the first thing you say. That's the comforting words of an observer, of a very caring, loving, concerned observer is you good?

Walk it off. You know, that's what I say when I see a car wreck and I see an ambulance show up, all I have to do, I just walk up and I'm like, you guys good, you good? And they're fine. So well done by the person with the camcorder or phone, whatever they had. I would imagine a phone, people don't use camcorders anymore. But hey, that's a, it's a pretty rough clip to watch. And she's, she's okay from what we understand. Okay, let's get to those emails and start with those. We have Dylan, very quick, says, just imagine this. Please explain how you would book our career. My God, well, we have, and it's a picture of myself, and Dylan and all people, Barack Obama, as the cheeseburger connection. Well, I don't know how we book our career. If we're a trio that looks like this, we probably would be the enhancement talent of the show.

That's what we would probably be to start. And we would have to try to find some kind of connection with the crowd. One that over delivers one that management didn't see coming. We'd have to come up with some, some kind of, some kind of emotional connection with the crowd. We couldn't leave this as is. It just wouldn't work. If we want to stay on the roster for any length of time and not be part of those black Monday cuts after WrestleMania. So it's hard to really do that. Again, I would have us get as much air time as we could, sit around, we'd have to brainstorm about some way to connect with the crowd that's endearing some kind of lighthearted way. That's probably how we would start based on our name. And then just try to get a little more time here, a little more time, a little more time. It eventually work our way up to maybe the tag team titles. That's how I would do it for now. You don't give me a lot to work over the cheeseburger connection. So, but hey, look at Dan Housen. I mean, he doesn't even have to wrestle.

He's making a ton of merch. Okay. This is Chris from DC. Says, I'm not really a big fan of Maxine Dupri's involvement in the vision. Not because of her being in the group in general, but how I was hoping she would have been recruited by Paul Heyman for her potential instead of just being with Austin Theory. Because I think that's selling her short, which by the way, I very much do not like her on screen, their on screen interactions. It's way over the top and kind of uncomfortable and cringe. I've never really been a fan of that though. Similar to Ria and EO Sky loved the pairing itself, couldn't stand the on screen. Like the Ria Sky, well, as far as Ria Sky goes, they just couldn't keep their hands off each other and they'd always be staring into each other's eyes for aggressive amounts of time. During joint entrances, almost like there are a couple. WWE is always doing that with Ria, with Alexa Bliss and Liv Morgan. I don't know why, but like I know why, but why? Well, we all know why.

She's, let's just call a spade a spade. She's a highly sexualized character on television, but it's just the way it is. She just is. There's a lot of sexual aura that she carries and they capitalize on that. They know that. She knows that. We all know that, but we're not supposed to say it. Well, I'm gonna say it. She's very good in the ring, but she has been sexualized some of her own efforts because she'll wear these provocative outfits and put these pictures up and wear these things to the ring. And then when we notice, of course, we're villainized, but we're supposed to notice without saying we notice. Well, too bad. That's the way it goes with Ria Ripley. As good as she is in the ring, I think a lot of it is overshadowed by her efforts to get attention from a sexual nature and she's got it. And they've used that in stories, whether they like it or not. Why do you think she used the phrase mommy's always on top, right?

That's very sexually charged language. We all know what we're thinking. So, yeah, it's just the way it is Ria. I don't care if people agree with it or not or whatever. That's just an observation. As far as it goes with Maxine, it is uncomfortable. And with Ria in the sky, it's just weird. It very rarely works. Even Becky and Seth had terrible chemistry even though they were married at the time. Several years ago on camera, they were obnoxious as hell as a couple on camera. But it sometimes just doesn't translate. And Austin Theria Maxine, I mean, she's got more visibility in this group than she did before as a single star. But in then before that with Tazawa and Otis, but she's not really doing much. She's there as this kind of, again, sexual object for Austin Theria to be controlled by and to be enamored with. That that's kind of what her role has been.

She hasn't done much. I agree. Maxine, you know, you could make an argument really other way. Again, more visibility, but she's not doing much or less visibility and more wrestling. You gotta kind of make the case. There's arguments for both sides, but I agree. It's just uncomfortable. It just seems as though we try to get away from the divas era type gimmicks. This is back to the email. But then we go backwards when it's convenient. Like almost how every woman uses the heels over the head pin or moves like the devil's kiss. Don't get me wrong. I'm a straight guy and definitely don't mind seeing this kind of stuff, but a lot of times it's just off-putting because women can actually wrestle in these things seem to take away from that. What are your thoughts? Well, I mean, this is gonna send some, if anybody is a male feminist or any feminists in this audience, which I don't think I'd probably have many given the things I say, this is gonna really, really set you off. But I don't care at all because it's the truth and truth is always the hardest to hear. Yes. While women's wrestling has come a long way

at the same time it hasn't. It's come a long way in terms of how much airtime it gets, the positions they've been put in and the quality of the wrestling has improved as a whole. But I will say that the introduction of social media, the outfits that are chosen to be worn to the ring are, and the pictures, as I said, that are put on social media are highly charged sexually. They just are, and I don't wanna hear that, you're older, that's your own problem. That's how you, no, that's just how men work. That's just how men work. I don't care if you think, or don't want that to be the case, it is the truth. That yes, we can appreciate the wrestling, but we are wired as visual creatures, especially when you see an attractive woman that you're distracted by that. And you're going to be distracted by that when women purposefully flaunt their bodies about in a way that's more than just wearing athletic gear to compete in the ring. You don't have to wear essentially underwear

to compete in the ring in your matches. You don't have to do that. But when you choose to, you are going to get the attention that you seek, and you can't be mad about the attention that you seek when you're wearing the very thing that's gonna get that attention. You cannot have it both ways. And it's, I don't know what to tell these people that don't believe that, well, the men shouldn't do that. Oh, okay, yeah, no problem. Well, they shouldn't, well, I guess they won't. And the diva's era, it wasn't so much sexual as it was just a relevancy. Back in the attitude era, we know women were treated like dogs for the most part. Literally, figuratively, there were stories where Vince McMahon made women bark like dogs. He used them in storylines to make out with them in front of his wife. There were some really bad things, I agree. At the time I went out, I was 16. I didn't give a shit, right? Like it was just kind of fun. And you're enamored with that stuff.

But most men don't watch wrestling to be enamored with the sexuality of the women. There's a gazillion other places we could go online that we all know about to fulfill that need if we want that part of ourselves stimulated. We know that. So when we see women's wrestling, we actually don't want women to be over sexualized in wrestling. We don't, because that's why we watch wrestling. Wrestling isn't for that. But yet the women, a lot of them today, are trying to get attention with their physiques and with a predominantly male audience, what do you think the reaction's going to be? What do you think the men are primarily thinking about? And I don't care if this upsets people, it's just true. Coming from a straight man and most of the audience watching wrestling are straight men. You're going to get the reaction you seek. And with Deva's era style throwbacks, and especially attitude arrow throwbacks

with some of these women the way they act and dress and put shit on social media, you can do that, but don't be surprised when men act the way that they are biologically wired when you put that content out there. And how they're supposed to view you is the way that you are presenting yourself that if you're presenting yourself in a way that is going to be appealing to men from a visual perspective, your wrestling becomes secondary. All right, let's continue. Do we all need to be detoxing ourselves? Before I go asking, how can I detox? I have to look inward. Okay, what am I doing? Can I identify at least three ways that my body detoxes and ways to support that? I promise if my message was more dramatic like that, I would have millions of dollars and make millions of dollars, but I cannot sleep at night trying to sell someone something that their body already does naturally. Let's, let's go to Chris and he says, sorry for the second email, but I did want to point out WWE did do the same thing with Ria and Dom, but with that, it worked a lot better because she was the temptress always in Dom's ear that made him turn heel. And even then, the mommy always always on top of it was a bit forward for me and it helped get Ria over and made Dom the hottest heel. So definitely work can't complain. Well, it did, but at what cost?

I mean, we just discussed the cost. The cost is while it did work and got over, which may be the ultimate who cares, everything else is just noise. I don't care what the cost is. Well, the price is that you've now sexualized Ria. They say she, well, she, there are so many people in including women, not just men. A lot of women have massive girl crushes on Ria. It's just, I mean, it's all over the place. You don't believe me, just go look at the comments in any of her pictures she's ever posted ever. It's just the case. So yeah, they got her over, it helped, but you've sold your soul now for what? Again, many people are like, who cares? It worked. Well done fine, but just understand the cost. All right. Let's go to Joey says I have some random questions. I'm writing this in the gas station. Well, cool. Would you rather have a sleep over with Obafemi and watch SpongeBob Squarepants the movie

or have breakfast with Nikki and then you have to be her personal shopper at the mall for her. I mean, I just, I don't even need to see the rest of that sentence to know Obafemi. I don't, I actually don't mind SpongeBob. I find it kind of just overstimulating, but I'd rather have a sleep over though, but Femi, now I would have to follow up and ask, well, what are we doing? We're not sleeping in the same bed, right? I mean, this is an easy one for me. Flamingos or geese? Flamingos, they don't shit nearly as much as geese do and they're kind of cool looking. They've got like backwards legs, you know, the way that their legs are shaped and that like backwards joint. Chicken drums or wings? Can I say boneless? Is boneless an option? I don't like boned chicken wings. Like, I don't, I like the flavor, but just the concept of it is kind of off-putting for me. I much more have boneless wings than you have me talking. Ford or Nissan?

Ford. Would you rather eat a handful of live crickets or give the great collie a two-hour foot massage, oil and everything? I'd actually rather do that for the great collie because not that I would enjoy either, but again, the lesser of two evils. I'd rather do that for the great collie for two hours than have to eat live insects and then have to crunch them and kill them in my mouth and eat them. No, because I, no, for sure, collie. Would you rather get drunk in a movie theater or Walmart? Get drunk? Meaning so I'm actively drinking in this area. Walmart. Because I don't wanna be sitting, well, I like to move around when I'm drunk. I don't like to sit. So I'd have to be sitting and watching, like what movie? What if it's a shitty movie? So Walmart allows me to kind of go around and there's also TV screens in Walmart so I can kind of, if I wanna watch something I could in the electronic section.

So for sure. Would you, have you ever watched Edward Sizzarhands? I just got a poster for the movie. It's so good. I actually haven't. I know what it is. I can picture the character in my mind, Johnny Depp, right? I just don't. I'd have not seen the movie, but I'll take your word for it. And finally, would you rather spend the night getting drunk with all your listeners that email in a lot or was stone cold or when a front row ticket with the green shirt guy that sits for WrestleMania 48, for WrestleMania and take that gamble. No, I would not wanna sit with that guy. I've seen videos of him being a dick. I mean, I don't know how he gets the tickets he does or I mean, I know how he gets him. He pays for them, WWE isn't giving it to them. So he's cut out a substantial portion of his budget. However, he gets money because clearly he doesn't work. Or if he does, it's some kind of non-traditional job he has, whether he's able to just kind of work remotely, but no, I wouldn't wanna sit with that guy again.

It looks like a total asshole. Stone cold, I mean, I gotta be honest guys, no fence. I gotta take stone cold and the other reason is because it's a legendary option. I mean, and I would hope that everybody else does not choose me over anybody like that. In other words, too, if you're gonna get drunk, what better guy to get drunk with than stone cold? I would be offended if you chose me over stone cold. So, sorry, no fence guys, but I gotta go with Austin because it would be an epic night. You'd never forget it. All right, let's go to the voicemail. We got one voicemail. This is from Curtis. So what does Curtis have to say? Hey Matt, it's Curtis from Dutton, Ontario, Canada. Again, I just wanted to say thanks a lot for the congratulations from a couple of mailbags ago congratulating me and my fiance on our engagement.

That truly meant a lot. She'll listen to you sometimes when I'm in the car and I'll put your podcast on. But most of the time I listen to it when I work, working away. But yeah, I mean, she likes some of your jokes and stuff like that. So, hey, it's a win-win. But yeah, I just have a different kind of email today slash voicemail mailbag. I work, like I said, I work in retail. I think I've said that before to you, I don't know. But I work in retail and I don't know if that really matters, but some of my coworkers are going to this, what's called a Comic Con and London, Ontario, which is literally like maybe 35 minutes away from where I live. And I'll be attending it too. And my fiance is coming with me and it's the first time

I'm going to be showing her some live wrestling because the live wrestling there is a company called Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling, which is, I'm about to swear here, heads up, fucking awesome. It's really good wrestling. If you go on YouTube and search up Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling, I truly think you would like it. It's like the vintage Canadian style wrestling. I know you're on your mailbags and stuff from some of your listeners, really like, you know, they bring up Canadian stuff lately. So I thought I'd bring that up to you. But yeah, anyway, so we're going there pretty much just because I want to show her some wrestling stuff and all that. Comic-Cons pretty much just, you know, if you don't know, it's, you know, like pop culture stuff, you know, movies and some like cast signings. I'm, we'll be attending all that stuff. We'll have a good time with all that for sure, but we're pretty much going because I really want to show her some Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling. And it's way more affordable than WWE.

But what was I saying? Oh yeah. So there was a coworker of mine who approached me asking me if I'm going to the Comic Con. And I'm not really friends with him or anything like that. I'll try to speed up this email here, sorry. Ask me if I'm going to the Comic Con. And I said, I'm going with my fiance. We're going to watch some of the Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling. And you know what this guy says to me? You know that shit's fake, right? I literally just looked at him and I said, and you're going to Comic Con for what? Oh, I'm going there to Spider-Man and then to Whoa, it's super heroes. And that shit's not fake. You know, wrestling is not fake. It's predetermined. I will always defend professional wrestling. And I will stick by it forever. Anyway Matt, I just wanted to, you know, can I get that off my chest and all that.

And thanks again for the congratulations. I don't want to make this too too long. So yeah, thanks a lot. It's currently almost midnight right now where I'm at. So I am being a little bit quiet. So hopefully you can hear me all right. Thanks a lot Matt. Cheers. Hey, good to hear you Curtis. And yeah, congrats again. That's awesome. And wishing the best for you guys certainly. And it sounds like she occasionally listens to the show. It's certainly driven towards a much more male audience. I don't doubt about it. So I know that some of the things I say probably annoy some women, but I mean, it's not meant to, but it's just a byproduct of the things I say. And that said though, I'm glad you're bringing her to your, your maple leaf wrestling. I did YouTube it and it does seem like right up my alley as far as the type of wrestling that I like. And it seems much more simple and as you said affordable. And I hope you guys enjoy yourself. And yeah, I know what Comic Con is.

There's several of them around the United States. The biggest ones in San Diego. I think in spring, May or June or something like that. And super crowded. I've never been, but it's, it's no well no. Even if you don't attend Comic Con, I think most people know here what a Comic Con is. And like you said, it is. It's a much like superhero based event. Yeah, Spider-Man. Like you said, Superman, Batman, the Hulk. I mean, any of the Avengers and all that, right? We know all those superheroes. But I would love to attend one. It's just money and time. The two things that we all struggle with. But the guy, you said of somebody at work that said that. Do we all need to be detoxing ourselves? Before I go asking, how can I detox? I have to look inward. Okay, what am I doing? Can I identify at least three ways that my body detoxes and ways to support that? I promise if my message was more dramatic like that, I would have millions of dollars and make millions of dollars.

I don't know the guy. But that is his statement, maybe not him, but his statement is absolutely stupid. As you said, right, you're going to Comic-Con to celebrate fictional characters. You're going to Comic-Con for imaginary superheroes

and to dress up like honor or look at other people who are dressing up like fictional characters. Tell me how that's better, right? It's such an idiotic thing to say because it also tells me when people say that if people still say that, which clearly they do, it tells me you just, you know absolutely nothing about wrestling other than in passing what you've heard about it. You have no idea what it actually encapsulates, what it requires, skill wise, the effort that it takes from the wrestlers to actually be successful, they have no clue. And they're also stuck in this bubble where they still believe other people believe that it's truly competitive. It's like the only, it's like their default knee jerk response for people who don't know anything about wrestling to say to wrestling fans, to try to demean, or at least that's what they've been told to say,

to demean the entertainment style we like. It's so stupid. And as you said, movies, TV shows, 99% are all staged and performed and predetermined. So how is that any different? And also there's no off season with wrestling. You can point that out too. Name another sport or entertainment platform that is a year round no off season, it's a format, I can't. So yeah, it's just, that's such a, that response, I mean, there's so many ways to just clap back at that. It's so dumb. What I would actually do, because I'm spiteful, is I would respond back and be like, what are you talking about? Yeah, it's real. You're not, these guys are actually punching each other. I would feed into it and get them all riled up. And then when the moment's right, you just drop it on them and be like, you know, like, well, no shit, right?

But I would, I would just get them going as to somebody that I'm someone who believes it's truly real, that it's truly competitive. And these men and women are actually fighting each other for real championships. I would feed right into it for a while, up until the point where they get so frustrated, trying to tell me it's fake, that I finally let them know that I've wasted a lot of their time. That's what I would do, because I'm a spiteful son of a bitch. But thank you, Curtis. And I hope you enjoy yourself, you and your fiancee. I hope you guys have fun. I hope she actually enjoys watching the wrestling. It's a different experience, certainly, being there in person versus watching it on YouTube or your phone or TV, whatever. It's much different. And given it's not WWE, that I think it'll be a much better experience because there's a much less chance of something incredibly embarrassing happening, where there's some attempted comedy

that falls flat and you're embarrassed to bring someone to try to watch it. That's always my fear. That's why I don't bring anybody. It's just not worth the risk of embarrassment. For me, at least for WWE. Now, if I were in your position, I probably would do that too, because it's a, it's focused on mostly wrestling. It looks like for what I've seen. It's basics, fundamentals, men and women who are incredible athletes, just trying to go in there and put on a great show. I mean, that's really all pro wrestling should be. And instead, WWE at times is more focused on the bells and whistles and attempts at comedy and things that they have no business trying to do, bringing in celebrities and de-list celebrities and everything else. So anyway, yeah. Let me know how it goes. I hope it's a successful venture. And yeah. All right, that'll do it for me here on the show today. Hope you guys enjoy the weekend.
