Remembering Mike McGinnis: A Football Legend

He died Monday in Nashville at age 74 after an illness that landed him in the hospital back on March 4. McGinnis called Nashville home for decades, first grinding as a coach from 1986 to 2016 across teams like the Bears. Cardinals, Titans, and Rams. He held it down as linebacker's coach, defensive coordinator, assistant head coach, and even head coach before switching to the mic for Titans radio. Over the last nine seasons, everyone who knew him lights up talking about his energy. Daniel Jeremiah recalled those yearly chats at the Combine and Press Box hangs during chargers. Titans games where McGinnis always drew a crowd with. His fun loving spirit and endless stories. He built tie bonds like with the Washburn family from their Titans days, swapping tales they kept the vibe alive. That gregarious nature made him a standout, touching lives way beyond the field.
