Rell Battle is a writer, stand-up comedian who was featured in Conan’s TEAM COCO House nationwide tour and Will Smith’s upcoming This Joka for Roku. As an actor, he was a series regular on CBS’ Superior Donuts, guested on ABC’s Black-ish, NBC’s Good Girls, and recurred on ABC’s The Good Doctor. Rell recently sold a half-hour multi-cam comedy to NBC with Bradley Gardner at Orion and Hazy Mills. Look for Rell as a series regular in the comedy KILLING IT opposite Craig Robinson for Peacock.  Rell and Margie talked stand-up comedy and the difficulty of making it a conversation, the challenge of silence, his critical parent and fearful child with Judd Hirsch.  They discussed the difference between sitcom and single camera comedy, with a thorough analysis by Rell of the technical aspects of sitcom and the weekly schedule.  Lastly, his new series, where he worked with Margie to uncover the core beneath the comedy and he booked it!
