jīn tiān|jiù|jiǎn dān|gěi|dà jiā|jiè shào|yī xià，

大家肯定都有所耳闻。

dà jiā|kěn dìng|dōu|yǒu suǒ|ěr wén。

You must have heard of them.

最简单的，比如：

zuì jiǎn dān|de，bǐ rú：

The simplest ones, for example:

爸爸的爸爸叫爷爷，

bà ba|de|bà ba|jiào|yé ye，

Father’s father is called grandpa (paternal).

爸爸的妈妈叫奶奶，

bà ba|de|mā ma|jiào|nǎi nai，

Father’s mother is called grandma (paternal).

有些地方也叫婆婆。

yǒu xiē|dì fāng|yě|jiào|pó po。

In some places, she is also called popo.

妈妈的爸爸叫外公，

mā ma|de|bà ba|jiào|wài gōng，

Mother’s father is called grandpa (maternal).

妈妈的妈妈叫外婆，
