Sk: V letnom popoludní, keď slnko svietilo nad Bratislavou a vlniaca sa hladina Dunaja sa jasne leskla, Ján kráčal popri nábreží.
En: On a summer afternoon, when the sun shone over Bratislava and the shimmering surface of the Danube glistened brightly, Ján walked along the embankment.

Sk: Vracal sa do svojho rodného mestečka po rokoch strávených v zahraničí.
