Reflections on a $100,000 Referral Fee | A Case Study in Return on Time
About this episode
Earlier this week, Brian wrote a six figure referral fee check to an out of state lawyer on an auto accident case.
Good money, to be sure. But Brian asks whether the better return on time would have been to simply refer the case out in the first place, instead of working on it up to the statute of limitations, as the lawyer did.
How much happier would you be if you worked only on those cases that were in your lane, where you were the subject matter expert, and where you could maximize the value. All while referring out every other case and creating a stream of income coming back in from other lawyers?
