Reflection provides a way forward by learning not only from past actions, and flawed assumptions, but also learning from other people’s mistakes, and successes..

I was watching a movie the other day that highlights the solution oriented mindset of the reflective thinking process. Unfortunately, we can’t go back in time, but we can, like the character think about how we can learn from our past and apply that new found knowledge to our decision making process.
