My name is Jonathan Shields. I make sure you guys go follow me on Twitter at Giant 10 Shields. We react to every single Ray's Game after every single game as a Ray's head toward this playoff push. And another big win for the Ray's. I mean, they have handled the Braves for two games in a row now, which really makes you confident going into the playoffs because the Braves are an elite team and the Ray's on the road has really just neutralized them in all facets of the game. But we're going to break down this one.

1:01How the Ray's have started this tough stretch out in a great way. I mean, we've talked about this stretch with the Rangers and then you have the Braves and then you go home with a split face, the Astros, Ease and Red Sox. And you got the Yankees and Phillies. It's a brutal stretch in the year. The Ray's have started that out in a great way. Griffin Jack said a huge bounce back of you guys, listen to Ray's Post-Cast yesterday. Just you guys know that I predicted that. But first, we got to talk about how about the bottom of the lineup absolutely showing out tonight. This is what you'll be talking about. We talked about yesterday. Victor Mesa is a player. I mean, he's, I don't care what his average is, I care about the eye test. And Victor Mesa is just a player. Man, what a player he is and excuse me, him Chandler, Cedric, Richie and Mateo is trying to drive in six of the seven or excuse me, five of the seven runs tonight. And they came up huge when the rays needed them. You know, they were rolling in that second inning. I really get the raise off to the start. And then once again, the fourth that really got the raise off to the start.

2:03But the guy that got all that started for the race was our player, the game tonight. Victor Mesa. This is the lock down player of the game. He's just, he's a dude. You can tell some guys have that factor. There's just something about Victor Mesa where he has that factor. And, you know, it's a pleasant surprise because no one expected Victor Mesa to be this good this early or even have a huge impact on the team. And here he is dominating really. I mean, absolutely ripped a homer. They got a single and walked through the first five inning who's most impactful player on the field. Not to mention he's a plus plus outfielder out there in right field. He has to have one of the what 10 strongest arms and league. I mean, he's been awesome, absolutely awesome. You know, these are just a typical race player that just kind of shows up out of nowhere and just rakes and putting him in that fifth and that fifth spy. You have Chandler six, all of a sudden one through six. You're looking like, wow, like outside the big three, what you talked about for so long. Where are the raised outside the big three going to get that production.

3:05Now the race got six guys that you really like the opposite and Cedric gets a big hit. Richie's been swinging a hot bat on this road trip. You're going to Mateo with an RBI single that breaks a little bit of a swing. And he's also one of the best base roaders in baseball. Mateo is and all of a sudden you see why this team is so good. And all of that kind of called made it cultivated in the second and fourth inning, which was our turning point. Time to reveal where the game was once or lost. It's the turning point. So we talked about yesterday. How kind of sneaky good Lopez was the the brave starter. And it was something that was not surprising for me because I remember his stretch. I believe in 2020 before before he got hurt. But you know, when guys get hurt, you kind of forget about how good they were before, especially if it's not a Garrett Cole or Justin Briland or whoever. And the raise handled a guy that first start off the I.L. But before he won the I.L. who's really good and the raise had a rude welcoming for him coming coming on today.

4:09And they were just relentless. I actually this out this race offense just relentless and you saw them the second inning, which was our turning point where the raise not only got the first tip from Victor Mason, but the turning point was for a Mateo's to RBI single to make that a big ending. Like this one thing was one nothing. It was three to nothing after the after the Braves got shut out two days ago after the race dominated them yesterday. I've said this a lot this year you get that oh my like here we go again type mentality. And from there the race just kept at it not I mean that fourth inning was huge because again the bottom of the order of order Cedric moments Richie Placios getting two big RBI singles and all of a sudden it's six to nothing. And after the race blew that lead in Texas, you know, it's incredibly rare for the race to blow those leads again. And the race were able just to roll from there, which was huge absolutely massive for the race to do that. And this offense I'm say the word again because it's a word that I think. Captivated will capture this what this offense is or shows what this offense is there were relentless. Absolutely relentless. They hurt you with the home run ball they hurt you with the small ball they hurt you with the flare singles and not to mention when the Braves hit it harder than the race they said raise somehow always have a half filter there.

5:16I mean the Braves have to have at least ten line out sort of the last two games and the Rages didn't can duck across the base pass or an excellent base running team. I mean how often do you see a guy try to get picked off three times and now it is in baseball and never happens absolutely never happens and that's what Chandler did and the Rages have so many prolific base runners and that's part of what makes that bond line of so dynamic when they're on. And you know we talked about this I was a big thing toward the middle of the year the race had this stat toward you know around game like a hundred or something a game game 80 but you can game 80 and 100 where if the big three not have an RBI this one only some like only five games up into that point. And again I know that Yandee had an RBI today but the bottom of the order carried this offense and for the race can get one of those games in the playoffs. I mean I have a very hard time seeing the race lose like when the race play like this and there's a point where the five through nine was what six out of eight in the order if they get anything remotely like that I mean they're going to be possible to be honestly with the type of pitching they're going to get with how good their top of the order is and you know yes the Braves are not throwing sale.

6:23This series but you know Lopez again is a really good pitcher and the race are still seeing high quality pitching from this Braves side so obviously Chris sale he won the Sion last year I'm pretty sure he's not going to this year but he's a premier pitcher and you know the race kind of the race kind of that dodges the bullet a little bit where you know you don't have to face him but again you're still facing some of the some of the some of the better guys and we'll see another one tomorrow and see if the race can keep up this momentum. What is start to this tough stretch will talk about more in a second while I talk about how Griffin jacks had a huge bounce back bounce back which we predicted on the show yesterday but again it cannot be overstate enough how productive this race offense has been and I use the word inconsistent a lot of times with this offense over the past three three-ish weeks the previous three weeks I should say they're looking pretty consistent right now and then some so again if the race get any sort of this the race get 80% of this in the playoffs I mean they're going to be extremely extremely tough to beat but I also have a lot more breakdown where I talked about Griffin jacks and we're break down more of this tough stretch that the race have and continue will continue to have going forward all that and more rest of this.

It's time to reveal who made the biggest under the radar impact with today's X factor. I predicted yesterday Griffin Jackson have a bounce back and do not surprise me how well he pitched today five N is two strikeouts only two hits a loud only the one earned as well again it is just follows the recipe of race pitch in this made race pitching so successful he's in the zone he's getting weak contact and that's it you know that's kind of the recipe he has the swing miss stuff as well but the braves do a really good job putting the ball in play. And with the he had to trust your defense and the race defense continues to be fantastic during this and you know he just embodies what all the race pictures have done race pitching rarely walks anyone you're going to be in the zone you're trying to get to two strikes before he gets two balls and you just work from there it sounds so simple but the buy in that the race have from their pitching staff and from people on the roster is what makes it so efficient so sad different Jackson he was awesome tonight and the guy that I'm really confident in going forward I saw Stephen that's it's Stephen Matt's and Cole Solcer also continue to do some things.

12:05You save your A bullpen for a little longer in the game tomorrow where you might need them because if I'm mistaken I don't think the race have announced a starter yet no they're going to throw Nick Martinez tomorrow that's new that's great I didn't see that not anyway the race are going to throw Nick Martinez tomorrow but anyway you're going to have a time in here where you're that whoever's going to fill them playing hands lie and the race and either bullpen as fresh as possible and this allows that bullpen to continue to be fresh but so shadow grip is going to be a lot of time to be able to do that. Kevin Jacks I thought he was awesome tonight and then the race have started this I want to touch on this because this tough start which started with a loss in Texas the race split in Texas the race have won the first two in Atlanta they clinched a winning a winning road trip and this tough stretch was everyone kind of fear especially with the Yankees playing the Rockies who are clovering up a mind of the baseball team right now and the race have held their own and they've really dominated the Braves they were 7172 wins. They're offense have scored now six runs are more in five straight games I mean they have been awesome absolutely awesome as a play and it doesn't ease up you know you got the last game tomorrow which we're about to preview then you got Houston the A's in Boston you know yeah the A's aren't great but Houston is fighting for one of the splash spots they're in a barn burner right then right now with the Phillies Boston I mean we know how Boston is and not to mention you know you're going to see Swarris Plutullian and sand of all guys that the race have struggled this year against but you know you do a vote for the

13:32boy you do avoid sunny gray which does benefit the race a little bit but and then you go to that huge huge huge series against the Yankees which you know everything is kind of going to be online there if the race when one of those four you've got to feel comfortable about their chance to take in the east if they go in that series four games up so both the raising Yankees are rolling right now and the razor doing a really good job of sustaining this pace and some really good teams which has been super impressive because you know it's easy to beat up on the bad teams but the race haven't beaten up on the really elite teams as well which are the teams you have to get by in order to win an October but as silly as this is unfortunately the whole season is going to come down to probably a five game a best to five series against one team if your division which is really the only thing that I don't don't like about don't like about the season but don't like about have them before that's it but let's look ahead at the game tomorrow because Nick Martinez will go for the race he'd like to pitch on Friday and he's going to slide into that spot to Maro so Nick Martinez 14 to 4 to 3 R.A. 6 on the 3rd 3rd year and against the Rangers but if you guys remember on all that was on him guess I'm

14:41Garrett Clevver came in and gave up that Grand Slam and that game kind of fell on his head a little bit Nick Martinez has been everything that the race have needed this year I mean he has been awesome one of the five most important players at the race about all year and he's looking to give the race another big time performance tomorrow and he will be going up against the left him Martin Perez who's eight nine with a 3 2 5 year right again he we kind of talked touch on the chest J he's been pitching for a really long time you know he's with Boston which is where I kind of remember him from in 2020 2021. He's been with the Rangers he's with the he's been with the Rangers twice who's with the Rangers for a really long time and had some really good years there but he's having one of his better season of his career right now in Atlanta so eight nine with a 3 2 5 coming off going to 4 earned against the Philly so he's looking for bounce back and he's had some stellar out of this year I mean seven endings one hit no runs against the Nationals earlier this year so the stuff is there but you know the with the raise whenever you got Nick Martinez going to get out like your odds but Martin Perez I mean look the raise one of the biggest tournaments from this year last year is how well they've hit lefties

16:49unfortunate because if the raise lose three out of five in a playoff series the season where we'll mostly be forgotten unfortunately but you know we're a little bit ahead of ourselves there and but no there is no not again like they're really freaking good to say the very least it's good I love like those you says good evening awesome bounce back from jazz I expect the same from Seymour tomorrow I think he needs Martinez I think Seymour it's going to pitch in the Sunday of the Houston series Seymour pitch a little bit of a different schedule there but regardless it is Martinez tomorrow as Robert Williams corrected him as well a lot of comments in here we see Frank shields we see Max missing here as well as good tie K here you said was that truest parks and I love that lots of race fans were attendance love to see race fans and enemy territory rooms out tomorrow yeah I mean you guys have kind of known I've documented on here my goals eventually get all 30 ball parks I believe in my only eight right now so I've said a long way to go but at lane is at the top of that list and that's what the race are trying to emulate with their ballpark as well but yeah it's great to see if the race are have have

17:53traveling as we go to another comment here he says raise and box both have 17 right with season games left this season is there any scenario was to raise below the division that wouldn't be unacceptable in your opinion is there a way that the the blaze below the vision like yeah it's baseball anything happened the yank stuff a really easy stretch here the race have a really difficult one would it be a this would be unacceptable I'm not about unacceptable I'd say more disappointing and unacceptable because then you still get in the dance I mean the rays could clench the playoff spot as early as tomorrow and then you know what kind of see from there but it's it's an interesting question and I want to ask you guys that you guys can answer as we start we start to get out of here is it will will it be unacceptable or in a big time let down if the race don't win the division I don't I won't go as far as unacceptable but definitely a let down if the rays don't but with 17 games left how blessed would it be talking about the razor for up in this division but anyway we're going to get out of here I appreciate all you guys hopping in big time raise when we're going to be here after every raise game including playoff so now's the time to like commenting and subscribe and we'll be back tomorrow hopefully
