Known mostly for his eccentric heath science, Ray Peat was also an avid lover of art, a dabbler in painting, and an amateur William Blake scholar. I explore this less well known side of Peat by commenting on his paintings, and doing a long analysis of his essay on William Blake’s art in relation to scientific discovery, where he explicates a critique of rationalism vs. empiricism, and how the work of art can aid a much older model of science for the modern renaissance man against the “I f-ing love science” crowd, and more!
