On April 22nd, Texas Rangers Outfielder Wyatt Langford landed on the 10-day injured list with a grade 1 flexor strain in his right forearm. He felt tightness during a swing in Tuesday night's win over the pirates and got an MRI that same day. The move happened Wednesday before their next game against Pittsburgh. Manager Skip Schumacher says they do not expect Langford to miss more than those 10 days. He had been on a roll, extending his on-base streak to 11 games with a strikeout and a walk in that last outing. Langford's been hitting 0.238 through 20 games with one homer and four RBI's. Before the injury, he snapped a 5-game hit streak where he batted 435. To fill the spot, the Rangers called up Outfielder Alejandro Olsuna from AAA Round Rock. Olsuna hit 0.262 there with a 15-game on-base streak and can play all three outfield positions. They also sent pitcher Mark Church down to Round Rock after designating him earlier this month.

Langford should be back soon to boost that lineup, keeping the Rangers rolling as they push forward this season. From around the league, powered by AI, this is MLB News Today. I'm Corey with The Story.
