Rams' Tight End Dilemma: Overload or Trade?

With Higby locked in as the longest tenure guy and Clare a surefire roster spot, plus Ferguson two solid to trade, they've got real depth, but now. Spots are tight. Colby Parkinson enters his final contract year with a $5.5 million base salary. He balled out last season, third on the team with 43 catches, 408 yards, and 8 touchdowns, plus 152. Playoff yards. Trading him frees up 7 million in cap space, but at 27 he's hitting his prime as a receiver. Davis Allen's also in his last rookie deal year, posting career highs of 24 catches, 208 yards, and three scores. Barely 25, he's developing into a reliable tight end too. Keeping everyone means tough cuts, especially with undrafted guys like Mark Redman squeezed out.
