Rams Sign Jaylen Watson, Boosting Secondary

0:00On March 11th, the Los Angeles Rams keep building up their cornerback group this free agency. They've agreed to a three-year deal with Jalen Watson, a 27-year-old who spent his first four seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. Watson brings a nice stat line from those years, including 178 tackles, 24 passes broken up, three picks with one, returned for a touchdown, and four sacks. He started 29 regular season games, and four playoff ones. He's a two-time Super Bowl champ now, linking back up with his old Chiefs teammate, Trent McDuffy. The Rams traded for McDuffy earlier, and locked him into a four-year extension. Watson first got to the league as a seventh-round draft pick, number 243 overall, out of Washington State back in 20. 22. This signing fits right into the Rams' push to reshape their secondary for better depth and experience going forward.
