They've already landed all pro-cornerback Trent McDuffy from the Kansas City Chiefs in a deal that cost them four draft picks. The team is clearly going all in to contend now. Earlier this week, reports surfaced that the Rams had talked with the Philadelphia Eagles about a blockbuster trade for Star-wide receiver AJ Brown. Those discussions heated up right before the new league year started. Fans lit up at the idea of Matthew Stafford throwing to Brown alongside Puka Nakua and Devonte Adams. That trio could have been the best in NFL history and supercharged the offense. In the end, the price tag was too high. The Eagles wanted at least the first round pick, and with Nakua and Adams locked in through at least 20-26, plus other roster holes to fill. The Rams wisely walked away. The team has moved on but stays linked to big names as they build a contender around Stafford.
