Rams Miss Out on A.J. Brown, Patriots in Lead

They already pulled off a blockbuster trade, snagging cornerback Trent McDuffy from the Kansas City Chiefs for a first round pick. Now where it is, they're hunting for more firepower, especially at wide receiver. Earlier this week, reports surfaced about serious trade talks between the Rams and Philadelphia Eagles for star-wide-out AJ Brown. The two sides went deep into discussions, floating picks from 2027 and 2028 drafts as the main haul for Philly. But no deal went down, mainly because the Eagles can't move Brown without eating massive dead money until after June 1st. Rams, GM, Les, Sneed, and Eagles counterpart, Howie Roseman just couldn't bridge the gap on value. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Rams balked at Philly's steep asking price and shifted gears. They're not done building, but Brown seems headed elsewhere now. Meanwhile, the New England Patriots look like the frontrunners to land him.
