Rams Land Cornerback Duo from Chiefs

0:00On April 22nd, the Los Angeles Rams made a bold move this off-season by landing both starting cornerbacks from the Kansas City Chiefs for the upcoming 20-25 season. They traded for Trent McDuffy on March 4th, then quickly signed Free Agent Jalen Watson just five days later on March 9th. Right after his trade, McDuffy started recruiting Watson to come to L.A., planting the seed that they might team up again. These two go way back as part of the 2022 draft class. McDuffy a first-round pick, Watson a seventh-ground gym, and they started together. For all four years in Kansas City, for the Rams, it's a smart play to rebuild their cornerback group with guys who already click. Rams' general manager, Les Sneed, revealed they weren't originally aiming for the package deal. While scouting Watson as a Free Agent, he kept spotting McDuffy and her rumors the chiefs might move him. Now the Rams have a solid top duo at corner for the long haul, with a manual Forbes juniors still on board and eyes on draft picks to deepen the room.
