Rams Eyeing Vertical Threat in NFL Draft

On March 24th, the Los Angeles Rans could target a wide receiver in the first round of

the 2026 NFL Draft.

With Devonce Adams getting older, Pukinakua facing a huge contract extension soon, and

then depth at the position, it makes sense for them to add, talent early.

One prospect in the mix is Mikai Lemon from USC.

He's a solid route runner who fights for catches over the middle and competes well at

the ball.

Scout see him as a slot specialist at the next level, with good toughness but some struggles

against press coverage.

Ram's fans know Nakua, Shine's brightest in the slot, where he led the league last

season in yards per route run and earned top receiving grades.

The team boosted his game by lining him up there more, turning him into a first team

all pro.

That overlap makes Lemon a risky pick, since both players share similar strengths and weaknesses.

Instead, the Rams need an outside receiver who can stretch the field vertically, or handle

man coverage to pair perfectly with Nakua and Adams.

Shine McVeigh could scheme around it, but grabbing a true compliment would keep the

offense firing on all cylinders long-term.
