Rams Draft Ty Simpson, Stacking Wins Today and Tomorrow

0:00On April 30th, the Los Angeles Rams just shook things up by grabbing quarterback Ty Simpson, 13th overall in the 2026 NFL, draft. Even with Matthew Stafford coming off his first MVP season, head coach Sean McVey stood firm, telling critics to just wash the tape on Simpson's. College Film McVey broke it down on the Rich Eisen Show, saying the pick lines up with their body of work evaluation. He stressed it's about building for both right now and down the road. No perfect calls but always the best for the team. Debate exploded league-wide since Stafford bought out last year, but McVey shut down talk of ditching the vet. They looped Stafford in early on the process and the guys been around long enough to get how drafts work. No drama there. Stafford posted a 109.2 pass rating, 4,707 yards, 46 touchdowns, and just 8 picks over. Earned his third pro-bowl nod too, so he's locked in as the guy.
