Rams Back Out, Eagles Adjust Price for A.J. Brown

They showed strong interest, but quickly pulled back after reviewing his early medical reports. Concerns over his age and overall wear and tear made the deal seem too risky for the investment. Earlier this week, reports highlighted how the Eagles set a steep asking price, reportedly a first-round draft pick, plus a second-rounder. Dead-demand cold interest for most teams, including outside of New England, right as free agency heated up. For the Eagles, this new stings, especially with few suitors stepping up. Trading Brown before June 1st, would leave them with over $40 million in dead cap space, but waiting cuts that nearly-and-half to under. 20 million. The catch is, teens might fill their needs elsewhere by then through free agency or the draft. Meanwhile, the New England Patriots still need receiver help, but aren't as urgent after adding talent like Romeo Dubs.
