For the second straight weekend, more than 100 protesters rallied in downtown Raleigh against the United States' war in Iran. They gathered at more square before marching down main streets like Wilmington and Fayetteville. The conflict escalated after United States and Israeli strikes on February 28th that killed Iran's leader, Ayatollah Ali Kaminay. The Nazis have mounted, including dozens of girls at a school in southern Iran, and fighting has spread to places like Lebanon. Organizes from groups like the Party for Socialism and Liberation and CO Depping drew inspiration from protests against the Vietnam and Iraq Wars. They chanted for money to go toward people's needs instead of the war machine and waived flags from Palestine and Lebanon.
