Racehorse Trainer Convicted of Dog Walker Assault

0:00On March 9th, a well-known racehorse trainer from Wales has been convicted of a brutal assault on a dog walker who strayed onto his property. Evan Williams, 54, who won the Welsh Grand National, attacked 72-year-old Martin Dandridge from Swindon last December in Long Carfan near the Vale of Glamorgan. The older man ended up with a broken arm after the nighttime clash, which prosecutors describe his causing serious harm on purpose. The jurors at Card of Crown Court needed just one hour and 45 minutes to reach their guilty verdict on the Grievous bodily harm charge. Williams got bail until his sentencing on April 14th, where he faced as possible jail time, leaving his future in racing up in the air.
