About this episode

The Nats lost their 5th straight on Thursday afternoon to get swept by the first place Mets.  Al & Tim gather after the Nationals scored all their runs in the top of the 9th in the 4-3 defeat, but stranded two runners after Keibert Ruiz grounded into the final out.

(13:00) New York starter Kodai Senga exited early after getting injured while fielding a play at 1B.  After the game he was placed on the 15-day IL due to a hamstring issue. Senga is having an excellent season and is sporting a 1.47 ERA.

(16:15) Michael Soroka gave up a 3-run HR in the bottom of the 1st to Jeff McNeil. Soroka only ceded three hits, but two of them went over the fence.

(24:30) Wilson Ramos will officially retire as a National on Sunday afternoon.  Ramos played in Washington from 2010-2016 and was a big part of multiple division titles.

(28:45) The Nats begin a seven game homestand on Friday night against a pair of last place teams.  This weekend they host Miami and then the Rockies come to Navy Yard on Monday for a four game series.
