Quincy Williams Joins Browns, Reunites with Rutenberg

Williams started his pro career when the Jacksonville Jaguars picked him in the third round of the 2019 draft. He played two seasons there before spending the next five years with the New York Jets. During his time with the Jets, Williams racked up over 500 tackles and earned first team all pro honors in 2023. Routenberg helped him adapt to his own defenses and sharpened his coverage skills, which led him to play more freely and build better habits in training and film study. Now in Cleveland, Williams joins a stacked linebacker group featuring defensive rookie of the year Carson Schwessinger, who led the team with one, 146 tackles last season. The Browns defense dominated in 2025, topping the league and tackles for loss and ranking high in sacks and yards allowed.
