The Prescott Valley Police Department's traffic unit will continue to conduct high visibility enforcement at the intersection of Glassford Hill Road and Long Look Doctor with ongoing construction and increased pedestrian activity in the area. These efforts are part of the department's broader commitment to traffic safety. During the first two weeks of construction, officers issued over 150 speeding citations. We understand that roadway construction can be frustrating and may slow your commute. However, barricades are there for a reason, to protect both drivers and construction crews working in the area. Please remember, do not drive through construction barricades. This is dangerous and puts both you and workers at risk. Do not use construction access points. These entrances are designated for construction vehicles only. If construction traffic cannot use them, crews would have to stop in the roadway and move barricades, which would create even more delays. Drivers who go around or through

Keep in mind that many of these routes pass through residential neighborhoods, where speed limits range from 25 to 30 miles per hour.
