Federal prosecutors in New York are seeking to drop two sex trafficking charges against three brothers on trial for a long-running scheme of violence against women. The defendants are 39-year-old Tau Alexander and this 38-year-old twin brothers, Orrin and Alon. They face accusations of drugging, raping, and trafficking dozens of women over more than 10 years. Prosecutors have spent the past month laying out their case to the jury in Manhattan Federal Court and plan to wrap up by Monday. The two counts in question, both stem from an alleged incident in June 2009 that involved all three brothers.
