Problems Grow and So Should You - Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites Podcast
About this episode
When you were 8 years old, what was your biggest problem in life? How about when you were a teenager? College student?
Chances are, as you got older and lived more life, your problems also became more complex, yet it’s very likely that some of the attitudes, beliefs and behaviors you used to solve problems as a young child still exist and are in use now, whether or not they serve you and your more complex problems.
Those behavior patterns were formed in childhood and your brain is a pattern-running machine. It wants to meet problems head-on with the same pattern it’s been running most of your life.
Next time you catch yourself reacting in the same old way, ask yourself if that’s really how you want to behave now that you’re grown up.
