Prioritizing Your Priorities for Profit - Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites Podcast

About this episode

Are you self-employed, or maybe you have a job with minimal supervision, requiring you to set your own schedule and police your own time? Do you sometimes find it hard to prioritize your many to-do’s?

It may help to spend a few minutes today categorizing all the things you need to get done in order to do your job well:

  • Income-producing tasks
  • Marketing tasks
  • Tax-related tasks
  • Networking tasks
  • Business-expanding tasks

Think about how each group of tasks relates to the success of your job or business, then allocate time to each group: Income-producing gets 2 hours a day, marketing gets 1 hour a day, etc.

Consider taking those groups and times and calendaring them, then following your calendar for a couple of weeks. Adjust as needed – when you create your own prioritized schedule it’s easier to ensure that everything gets done, instead of just the things you like to do.
