Princess Kate Honors Anzac Day at Cenotaph

0:00On April 25th, Princess Kate stepped out for the Anzac Day Parade at the Senatop in Westminster this morning, laying a reef to honor Australian and New Zealand troops who served and sacrificed. Anzac Day falls every April 25th, marking the 109th anniversary of Allied forces landing at Calibri in Turkey back in 1915, a key moment that kicked off major World War I battles. She joined New Zealand's High Commissioner, Hamish Cooper, for the ceremony, which included a reading from the poem, In Flanders Fields, and Psalms from, The Nadi Ranana Mayuri Club in London. Princess Anne also took part early, laying her reef at Wellington Arch in High Park Corner around 5 a.m. on Saturday, showing strong royal support. For the commemoration, meanwhile, similar events lit up cities across Australia and New Zealand with the royal family sharing a tribute online to all those who fought in.
