Prince Andrew Probed for Sex Assault Claims

The Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Sir Mark Rally, revealed they're reviewing a bunch of allegations to see if any deserve a full criminal probe. This comes after years of questions about Andrew's links to Jeffrey Epstein. The biggest claim involves Virginia Dufre, who said Andrew had sex with her when she was 17 back in 2001. Andrew denied it and settled her civil lawsuit for about $15 million in 2022. Dufre died by suicide in April 2025. Earlier investigations, including four interviews with Dufre, turned up no solid evidence of crimes in the UK so they went nowhere at the time. Now with new info from US Justice Department files, things are moving again. Andrew lost all his royal titles last fall and got kicked out of his home over the Epstein connection. He was also arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
