0:00On September 9th, so Prime Video is rolling out this new AI thing that syncs up an actor's mouth with the dubbed audio. Right now it's just for the English version of this German show, Maxden Hall, but they're looking to bring it to more stuff down the line. It's pretty wild how they're using AI and visual effects to make the lit movements match the translated speech. This isn't totally out of the blue though. Other platforms like Metta and YouTube have been messing with AI dubbing for creators, even giving them a lip sync option so it looks like they're speaking in your language. It's all about making content more accessible I guess. Prime Video actually started playing with AI assisted dubbing last year. They tested it out on about a dozen movies and shows in English and Spanish. Think of it as a trial run to see how well it worked before going big. Now this lip sync feature is live for the first two seasons of Maxden Hall worldwide. And get this, it'll be ready for the third season when that drops on December 9th.
