I think this defense will be put in 18, every 19% of the time. That number's a lot more than you. It's like 30, something percent. I mean, how does that change in a way? I mean, you're not going to let me. But how does it change the way you're playing in the corner when the guys maybe that are back in the center. Oh, man. But what I can't tell you. I know like one of my individual goals, like I wanted to do, I wanted to get more picks. You play in man's kind of hard to get more picks. Back to the quarterback. Especially like you plan to get scored by the air. Air literally is going to throw the ball at the back of your head. It was the worst day of the average. Break up. P.I. Something like that. Man, it's just a hard and weight teams trying to skate months, runaways. They just running away from this. It's definitely a lot harder to get picks. But it's just one of those things where he's like, hey, you got to stop our man from catching the ball. That's the thought process.

When you add in theoretically someone like Hassan, who are next to McDonald or the other time, McDonald's got the second leading in sax Quinn and obviously we all need to do this theoretically. Like you guys get that one playing now. You have been the first two, three, three, three. Yeah. Is there anything when you guys step between lines? Can you all think of us just getting a chance to go? One of the best receivers on the league or someone with the best corners in the world? Besides him being a great player and me being a competitor. And wanting to help our teams win. No, you know, you get great dude. Someone that I've seen a couple of times just around in this offseason. And you know, just the way your spectre opponent is playing your hard out doing your best to win your rep. And I feel like that's it for me and him. And I feel like that will be exemplified on the weekend. You know, football about how you talk about it. That's how you play with your opponents.

So, I feel like step one of being better and playing the way you want to is being conscious and self-aware. Which you did to put yourself in that position that we previous. So, then that's where it all started watching the film. And being in tension on practice. So, just catching up all with my body. Doing those type of things. I think I did a really good job of that this week. I felt all year. And now I'm just about going out there and making sure a chance I can Sunday, which confident it will. So, before I get it, I'll have to adjust the quiet on today. And then change the quality of the jet to not be a priority. The jet said, you know, I'm trading with. Was that on your mind? Or on your human mind? I'm going to hide behind your plate or you saw it or anything like that. Wait on you. No, I wouldn't say wait on me at all. I wouldn't think about it during the game. Yeah, well, not, you know, I'm not going to say that was the reason why I played better.

Nothing, nothing. No, I wouldn't think about it. What was your takeaway from the life they speak to you to receive the wider attention? Just that stuff like that is contagious. And it's something that, you know, we've, you know, you, it's all I know. So, you kind of get used to something, but the reality of it is it's not okay. And we got to figure it out. And we got to figure out why we're not winning again. We got all the time in the world. We got all the pieces. So, why are we winning when it matters? And then, you know, little things like that at up. And that was my takeaway from becoming from someone that's been part of great coaches, great teams. And it's a great player. And so, you know, when he talks, he goes, listen. So, I know we all, you know, heard him and tried to go about it the right way this practice week. And as far as having energy and, you know, if you don't have the energy figure to you make it. So, you know, it's contagious. And that was my, my, my to kind of take away from that. I moved to all over the place, but I imagine with the body, I'm going to say,

in a way, you can line up a little bit more in the slot. We've seen you be pretty ridiculous inside there. Is that a place that you feel at home? Is that something you would enjoy being there more? Yeah, I mean, I don't mind being in a slot. I don't mind being outside the truth of it is, you know, usually you get less of a, you know, a cover player in the slot. You get to see the defense show itself in a little different view as, you know, as opposed to being on the outside and just focus on your corner. So, there's ways to, to get into your router a little faster and just break down the coverage and find that zone and that hole. So, I like it. And I feel like, you know, being the type of player I am, it's, you know, it can seem a little easier in the slot to break things down, I'll say. But, but, no, I like doing both, man. I ain't going to fail. I like doing both. And when we being in the slot, being the slot and, you know, vice versa. So, when you're in the slot, can you get quick wins that are right in the quarterbacks, you know, that's being right in front of them? Is that an aspect of it that's positive, or you're doing it right in front of them?

You know, that's a good point. Maybe, maybe, yeah, maybe that is, maybe that is something that goes into it. But, you know, I think reality, but you got to make some tough decisions. You're in the slot, I'll send you over the rid of the fields. Got those big, you know, the big backers and the stack monsters that you got to do with a little more. And that's what comes with it. But, you are right in that sight line at the quarterback. So, yeah. Do you remember the feeling walking out of the stadium after beating these guys? Let's go and, you know, you were, you were, you were riding pretty high right then. Yeah. You know, can you get back to that with a win some day, anything? Yeah, you know, you got to, you got to start somewhere and this is who our next opponent is. So, we got to go out and do what we got to do. Yeah, I mean, we want to get on the street, we want to get on. And if we're going to do it, it starts this weekend. So, you know, we got the Patriots and we got it, we got to, you know, handle everything. I believe the team of Raleas is where it needs to be.

You know, we have some adversity hit. As a team, we all, we want to read that we have responded right away with that adversity. We have some people say some things throughout these past few weeks. We have people, you know, step up and have people show, show where you should not be doing those things. So, I think we in the right spot, I think everybody's missing in the right spot physically. My especially we are too, which is what I think. Because that's where the cons are. And when adversity hits, you just want to show where you really are. There's no magic potion to, you know, get off the touch ground and step back around again. There's no magic potion to bend down the whole game, but spot no way to run into the team. I've just shown who you really are. I think it's time for us to respond to work right away when adversity hits the game, whether they open down. And we have to be the same team no matter what. I think this weekend is going to be the right time to show. What did they get to our names, to be champion?

I think it was just what everybody needed. Whether he was talking to you or whether he was, it was something that you could be saying. You know, Brick talked to us, talked to the whole team a few days later about how it coming from him. You know, he hasn't been here at all. He's on the band with us a week, playing one game with us. And he felt and saw that, which is real. As a team, the core group, we've been in this situation a lot of times. And unfortunately, we came out on losing it in. So it could be easy to kind of fall in that trap of life. And here we go. But that's what I said about adversity that we got to make. It could be okay to think like that, but how we're going to change that. So when adversity hits again, you know it will. You know what's going to be our reaction. And I would respond the right way. And if you do respond the right way, you see a player, a teammate, a coach, not responding that way. And I'm sure we all get on the same page. So it coming from him was very good because everybody respects him.

He has all the accolades in the world. He's definitely paid. But you know, that's the person that has a man. So I think that was really good to come from him. Have you gotten the sense that it's resonated or is that something you'll kind of see on something? I mean, I hope he resonated. Right after he's finished speaking. But obviously, we're going to see this Sunday. Because like I said, you know, the versus you're going to come. You know, it would be nice to have a game like last time, but you know, you can't prepare for that. You just got to go out there and do our job. And when that moment comes, you know, let's respond the right way. Somebody look at that and say, he's going to be here for a few days. And like, what makes him like an expert? I don't think like 10, can you see how? That's a bad response. So if that was the talking the locker room or around, then that would get weeded out real quick. Because that's not when the football that's not that's not being a teammate. That's not holding your own stuff accountable if that you're thinking that way. And if you are thinking that way, it's probably what's talking to you.

So hopefully that message whoever was in that locker room at the time was heard from top of bottom. And we can move move forward with that. What's it like seeing that go from, you know, he was only playing like he's playing the same thing. He's playing the same thing, he's playing the same thing, he's playing the same thing, he's running the whole show. Like how you've seen him handling that? I feel like he's handled with race. He's been humble about it. And he's been vulnerable about it. You know, he's opened up. You know, he was surprised just like everybody else was. So it really was a family effort to kind of cope with what happened. But obviously try to find a way to move forward the right way and productively. But honestly, it really feels like he's just been alone in the offensive meeting. Like just all the way through because, you know, he just sent the same things we're hearing the defense of our own. So all the things he's preached to us these past few years, that's made the defense what it is. And you know, to make us fight this heart and the love in regard to my heart this. You know, all of that he's now just bringing it to, bringing the light to everyone in here. So it's just been cool to see the office and the special teams.

You know, here those messages, you know, feel his passion, you know. Here is speeches for the life of 40 games and watching the run there responds to him. He's been good. Have you ever seen play like, have you ever seen video, or played with him playing? Oh yeah, yeah. You seem like a very tough line. Yeah, if you, if you, do you want to cross the line back with a mohar, you know, he's crazy or he can hear it really hard. But yeah, as a kid, I definitely remember watching a coach of big play. I remember his name, I remember space. I remember all that. So I respect him a lot as a person in, obviously, you know, as an assent being a former player. And you know, he'll play with Patrick Willis. I believe Ronnie Light, I'm not mistaken, was like his mentor was, and I think coached him was in my correct. I don't think it was it was, it was, it was a, no, not Patrick Willis. He was a head coach for the, for Santerbury. Santerbury, Santerbury, Santerbury. Sorry, Santerbury. Also, I bad old linebackers, well, so he knows a lot of ball.

He's seen a lot of ball. Has that old school mindset, which I love, which I'm, that's who I am. So, you know, a lot of respect for Patrick Willis. You've got tea in about his black growing technique. Just blacked on. Yeah, a challenge black. Oh, no, I just, I just see that. I just see that. Who do you think your deepest is played in the last couple of weeks? I think it's better to say we haven't played through our standard. You know, people getting saved. What's the reason then? But at the end of the day, we're the ones that cost the white lines. We're the ones that have to, you know, handle the adversity. We're the ones that have to step up when the times get tough. So, we got to, we challenged ourselves to, you know, get back to our standard. Just, you know, having fun out there, just running around here and, you know, executing, doing turnovers. So, that's just what we have to do. Because it was going to take us to win football, guys. As far as, you talked about the top of his player. He doesn't like Jeff. He doesn't like Jeff.

Like Colin. Like Colin's coach, Coach Burke. Okay, Colin, back there. The toughness is a player for what you saw and watched. How does that carry over to being a head coach? I think it's more, I think it's a mindset, like his, his ability to take adversity where there's good or bad and turn it into something and, you know, make it work something fighting for. Like I said before, you know, him being vulnerable, him opening it up into the deep things. Like the day him opening up to the whole team, telling his story, telling his wife. Like that, that builds character, that builds trust and that, you know, that builds love. And that builds the family. You know, that makes you want to go out there and play hard for. And that makes you want to go out there and feed his family. That makes you want to go out there, you know, do everything you can for, you know, for him as a, as a man and a boss or as a coach. Because, you know, he would do the same thing on the field. And if he could play, he would definitely be doing the same thing for us on the field. So I think that's just, just a respect game. He was jailing Mills. What have you seen from the Patriots offense so far with Drake May? Yeah.

A guy who's, he's, he's trying to put the ball in the air. You know, of course, they are still trying to establish their run game. They got a good running back over there with Remind Jerry. But young, young quarterback, I said, he's putting the ball in the air. And he's also, you know, he's getting those third and fifth, third and sixth. You know, he's converting those outsides with his leg as well. So we just have to be aware of that when he does want to take off scrambling and then those passing down situations, you know, covering down on those guys. As a former Patriot, like do you see similarities in the defense? Or is it totally different without Belicek there? Yeah, definitely similarities. A lot of those guys were there when I was there. I mean, DC, who is the DC now? We call them DC Coventon. He was there. He was the D-Lion coach. Of course, Mayo as well. So they are kind of running the same type of defense, little tweaks here. And there, but for the most part the same. Is there extra meaning for you playing at Foxboro this weekend? I don't want to put a snap on that because at the end of the day, it's time to win regardless whoever we are going against.

When Sunday at 1 o'clock comes, you know, I'm pretty sure that I will be fired up and everybody will be able to tell. But as of right now, just trying to stay focused, trying to stay calm, throughout this process. And when Sunday comes, just let it rip. Where do you feel like you are with this defense after coming here and quickly being integrated? I think the coaching staff, coaching them, they're a really, really good job with me every morning. One-on-one meetings, you know, detailing the playbook for me, throughout walkthroughs, through our practice. Like I said, meetings in the morning to the point where I feel like I pretty much got a good grasp of the defense. So how much more meat on the bone is there for you? Like what do you think your game plays well into this defense? Like what matches well? I think just the difference in general, I asked the safest to do a lot of communication, which I'm not afraid of. I've been a part of defense with, safety, have to do a lot of communication, safety, have to play man, have to play in the middle, we have to blitz.

So I think as far as that part, my versatility allows me to do a lot of that in this defense. And I think it compliments me really well. Adding a guy like Hassan, right at the end of the fold, where you get some more pass rush juice to go along with Quinn and Will McDonald, what can that do for the secondary? Yeah. I mean, now, whether it's man opportunities or our zone opportunities, we're talking about being able to get the quarterback, have the ball get out of his hands quicker, faster, if not, you know, he's in trouble. You get a guy like Hassan, where the slide may go to him now, and you got a guy like Will, and you know how that goes, or they make chip, but for those guys, and now Quinn gets the one on one. And you know how that goes as well. So I think those guys complimenting us in the back end, I think it's going to be really, really good for us going forward. You didn't overlap with him in Philly, I don't believe, but obviously have teammates, has anyone just, but either before this year, or since reached out to you about what kind of player and teammate he is? Yeah, hard worker.

Guys are going to go out there and give it his all. And I mean, that's all we can ask for him. You know, I know he has a big expectation for himself, and we have big expectations for him, but at the end of the day, he goes out there, beats himself, play full tilt to the whistle, whether it's 60 snap, 70 snap, whatever it may be, that's all we can ask for him. I know you've only been here for a little bit, but the standard of this defense usually is not to let up 37 points like in Pittsburgh. What has been the focus in the meeting rooms behind the scenes this week that's maybe a little more in the light than weeks past? The detail, and that detail comes one day at a time, one meeting at a time, one practice at a time. We, of course, were ready for Sunday. We wanted to get this nasty taste out of our mouth from last week, but at the end of the day, it's like I said, one day at a time, one practice at a time, one meeting at a time, and when Sunday gets here, you know, let the chips fall with it, mate. Awesome, Jaylen, appreciate the time. Thank you. Thank you. We're not serious about what's to be great, and we're just wasting time and money, so we can do the probably not big three with the culture being incredibly important to him.

Being around the coach, and today, well, it's kind of the things that you notice around him, just whether it's how he is, or just what your thoughts at him being around him most. He's an incredibly detailed guy, and I got that for sure from him. He's like watching a film, and he broke down. It's like something came from with me, and he also accomplished on some of the guys that he's coaching the past that are similar to me. And, you know, that was, he really just showed how good a coach he is, you know. Getting to know Coach Malveld during this experience, wouldn't that have been like... It was good. He's a very passionate guy, and I mean, I love that. Like, the head coach should have that, and, you can tell how much he cares about what the guys about the program, about just like being dedicated, being driven to it, to win, to succeed. What did they tell you about the opportunity here in Asfari's, meaning a player of your sort at a position on the offensive line? Well, I mean, you know, they see me at the left, tackling this, I'll be a good fit, you know, coming in. But I was, I was, I was a coach, not at all stressed, you know.

They lost it, all the great, all the offensive linemen in the portal that have lost the great skill, saying that, to wise, I mean, I'll be a good fit when it comes to, just like what, what you guys do, what, if you see does, and what a sight for people here. What's kind of the ultimate feeling now about FSU? I think, some of the big experience with them, what's kind of the feeling about them? Yeah, it's, it's a, there's definitely a good feeling, it's great. I'm glad that I was actually able to come down here, because I mean, Zoom calls, and phone calls are nice, but, you know, in person, it's a lot different. And this is, again, to know the staff here, again, to know Coach Herb, and to know Coach Noel, I think it was, it was a great experience, so overall. Who else have you checked out during this process? What are their schools? I've talked to some others, so I've talked to, um, a house, say, in Iowa, and A&M, and really just, you know, that's what I've been, I've tried to keep it short, try to keep it sweet, I really need to be 200 bucks of schools. I mean, that's not the main priority, like, I mean. Are you entering decision mode now, or do you intend to take some trips in early January?

Yeah, I'm done with the business, really. When do you want to decide? Um, sometimes I go Christmas. But all good. For those of us who only seem to maybe highlight something, you know, what are, what are kind of your strengths and the areas that you're looking to improve on? So, shrink wise, I would say, probably just, um, movement. I mean, I would tell my coach, you know, I would pay a lot for 300, I don't know, 45 pound guy. Definitely, that's on. You know, if I ever done on film, this I've meant to got my stances, the big thing for me, so big, and just being able to move people. But at the same time, also just being consistent and can't place any punch on it, forward in general, just like me, because I mean, if you're, I mean, if you're a big, strong guy, then you can only do so much when you don't have the right technique. So, that's a big reason why I want to have a good, a lot of coach to work with, just to, to find that technique to, to be precise in everything. And that, that's kind of like what I'm looking for to improve. Thank you. Off you go, man.

I'm very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, I'm, you know, jump over a man, but you were ready to go. Definitely ready to go. You can say about likes and feelings that you've got as a great figure. Um, yeah, I mean, just, when you look at the schedule you asked for us and how it takes care of our body, you know, just the diligence, and the situation of football, our coach McCarty, man, he's, he's a great coach. You see, by the day just us being, being ready, and this week went opener, and I'm just excited to build on that. Um, I feel like I always feel good, not always, but I mean, this week one, this week one, something definitely fresh, but, you know, just got to, you know, continue to, you know, build on that and take care of my body, and, uh, we want to be feeling good in December and January. That's right. I know that I'm so excited to be able to come up here, and I want to be able to come up here and get back behind the chair.

Oh, it definitely felt great, you know, scoring that touchdown, uh, had a bunch of emotions, kind of had to lay there and soak it all in, but, uh, you know, it's glad to be back. Very time front, and, uh, first half, two working starting the day, I think those guys, you know, played their tell off day, they competed. Um, I think we had a great plan, and we went out and executed it. When you were sitting on a bench, uh, in between ways, what do you think about Mike's, it was defensive, the way they put on the Oh, wow. I mean, I think it was late in the second quarter, and I think they had like 20, 30 yards, passing 30 yards, resting on Mike. Man these boys are out there playing, um, but I mean, one against that defense off season, uh, know how difficult it is to play them, to prepare for them, um, but, you know, they, they stepped up and answered the call. Throughout the season, uh, I know you had to rough it that you took during the game,

but coming out of that, you still have to hope that the faith in you, and he's going to play like, yes, the line shared season as opposed to, to maybe kind of the things that happened in that game. Yeah, absolutely. Will is our quarterback. He's our leader. He didn't come here by accident, and you guys have seen the product, they's put out there on the field a week after week. So, um, you know, I don't necessarily think that he played bad in our last game, but, you know, moving away from that, um, we have full trust in him. He's putting together a great practice week, um, and we're excited to see what he puts out there on Saturday and lead us. I'm going to have a coach just a couple more. Stephen means clave it up. In your football life, what is the last time you think you have ever been disfresh traded with how games flowing in the game plan? Up some, is that the sense? Um, I would say, you know, there's, there's rarely a Saturday that I'm not frustrated. You know, I mean, we can, uh, we can be the team by semi-like I'm saying, but, um, there's always a standard that I hold myself to, I hold my teammates to, I hold my coaches to.

So, that's kind of the standard around the building. Um, so we've all cultivated a really good culture here to where, where we're able to have tough conversations, hold each other accountable, not only coaches, the players, but players of coaches. So, um, there's always ways to improve. Um, any game Saturday, no matter if we win by 70 points or, you know, we lose by 70, we're always looking for, for ways to improve. So, yeah. You, Cardinals and Jeremiah, very good receivers, obviously. But you guys don't tend to have the personalities at, and sometimes, either the pro-tip go very good receiver. Why? Um, you know, I can't speak for, for those two, but I know for myself, um, you know, I just, I just look at my life and I look at the way it's got its blessed being. It's hard for me, you know, not to bow before him and be humble in those moments. Um, I'm not really one to, to talk to him with smack. I'm, I'm going to go out there and do my job, and I'm going to do at a very high level, um, you know, all the things I go on my head, I never really, um, share all the time. Um, but at, at my core, uh, deep down, I'm a very, uh, real, and deep competitor.

Um, so, I think that I know when I'm capable of, I know the title of the caliber player I am. Um, but there's no, no need to really bow, sat, or anything like that. Just put on the field and do what you're capable of. And find a question. Jeremy Burmian, uh, the podcast. Um, that, one of your former classmates here plays a tendency now, uh, return time. And some comments about why stadiums and about the crowd of big, incolomists. Do you, you guys have like a, uh, a message for, uh, stadium or, for fans who are hearing that and being told that the stadium doesn't get loud or, that Arkansas, you know, a type of place is like, yeah, I mean, you know, knowing Buck I nation, I don't think I have to do too much motivation. Um, we're going to come out there Saturday and it's going to be an amazing environment. So, um, that's just, just the type of fans we have. I'm not going to feed too much into the stuff that Tennessee is saying, but, um, we're really looking forward to this opportunity. We're glad that we're playing at home, um, just being from in front of our home crowd and from our families. So, uh, it's going to be an amazing environment. I'm excited. I do have one more step. The only 97.1.

Yeah, we talked about the accountability on players to players, coaches players, but if you elaborate a little bit more on how the players kept the coaches accountable. Yeah, I mean, we've, we've had a, you know, tough conversations throughout the year and coach challenge in ways. How can I get better and we give them feedback? So, um, it's not really any different than the way they criticize us. So, um, you know, I think it's important to be able for coaches to be able to handle what players have to say, um, because in turn, it makes them better coaches, just like they're able to coach us. So, um, it's really just that relationship that we have that we have is very special. And I think it's unique to our program. Do you agree that people are right for thinking that this is tough and sticky that way? Or is it like you're looking at our Westerners still pretty back? I mean, you can, I mean, you can tell you in any way you want. We have the best running back field in the entire nation and we have the best receiver unit in the nation. So, um, we kind of, we're kind of jack of all trades. So, you've been moved around the office in the past of different things, motions, different trade and waste to get open. But has that increased any knowledge of kelting is here or is it kind of the same as the benefit of your business?

Uh, probably stay away from talking about scheme stuff. So, yeah. What, what was it that Jeremiah did that you think enabled to be in? Iron Buckeye. Just coming in every single day and competing. That's really what we're challenged to do. Um, as, as Buckeyes, when we, when we walk into the way we were coach, make your supposed to be there and show up and show out every single day. And you're not allowed to have a step back and not let it happen off day. He took, he took care of all his, um, you know, the non-negotiables of this program. It was never late. He made his way every single day. He gave his 100% effort. And at the end of the day, he was just winning a lot of competitions and just grinding. So, yeah. I'm gonna do, uh, lecture, do a lot of training a lot about brand new. Um, training didn't get a chance to do a lot this spring. What stood out to you, even when he wasn't on the field, this spring, that, that basically, I think he can be a, uh, legit, and backplay for your business. Well, yeah, first and foremost, he got, he got voted on by his peers to the leadership committee on our team. Which is a group of about, you know, 16 to 20 of our, of our guys who the team looks to as leaders.

So obviously, you can see how people think of him on this team. They think highly of him. Um, and he comes in every day as a very fiery competitive nature. Um, and, you know, he puts in really hard work and days in and days out. So even though he hasn't seen the field too much yet, um, we have no, we have no, um, concern that when he does stuff on to the field, he's gonna make a great impact. He's only been here a year. Yeah. And he's been here last summer. Um, I'll have, like, Darn has never specifies that he can be on the leadership committee. I have to check it for 3365 days. Yeah, just his ability to be able to, you know, talk a good game, but also back it up. Um, not in a sense of playing football, but more in a sense of, we're gonna be the hardest working team on the field. Uh, we're gonna go in day in day out. I'm gonna, I'm gonna beat you even when I don't feel healthy, even when I don't feel good, all that type of stuff. It's, it's all an entirely. I'm not gonna, from far away, it looks like, uh, violent, not just, uh, I think it kind of moves a little bit like young, very good. Right. Like, do you see that in him? Like, I'm not trying to compare it to the number 10 overall thing.

Hmm. Do you see that a little bit in the way that he can shift around? Yeah, he definitely is very fluid about the way he moves and we see it in his, in his, uh, you know, his routes and his releases. So, you know, when, when all the White receivers are, you know, in the film room and, you know, he's getting crapped, he's doing all this body movement stuff. It's like, okay, we could see he got a little sun to him. So, it's just about bringing him along, you know, he wasn't, you know, he, he just got here. It's the first, first year here, kind of built on a long, there's steps you gotta take, but he's definitely training in the right direction. And I think a lot of teams get talent for whatever reason you guys seem to develop, develop the receivers better than anyone. What, what goes on out there that somehow helps Ohio State keep replacing guys in Atlanta? We play Denzel, uh, Davidson, Ibnelson, Germaine Matthews, Jordan Hancock, Lathan Ransom, Caleb Downs, that's really what it is. It's, uh, it's BIA getting this better every single day. So, tremendous credit to the defense and the, the ability to be able to develop corners like that. It's just good on good every single day. That's, that's the way you get better. So, how much do you want the coaches to get open with? 10-R-E-E-9. I mean, we definitely have a strong second there, I would say this year.

Um, but, you know, it's just, it's just, it's not just their talent that makes them special. It's their, it's their ability to go hard every single day. They show up every single day with a competitive nature. And, you know, we're, we're going back and forth on the field every single day. They'll be bigger and, and spin that each other a little bit. Um, it's all love at the end of the day. We appreciate them for getting this better. Let's question the method you, you do a lot of things this, all that to have, that you can go through here, Brandon seems like a guy who do so much, whether we move around, whether he's just beating anything. You see kind of that same horse how filled and, and Brandon is, it's kind of something you do. Yeah, absolutely. Brandon, you know, he came up, played running back for a lot of his life, played a little quarterback here and there, you know, now he's received very, he can do a lot of different things. Um, so we just try to put him in a position where he can be the most successful, um, and the position that makes him the most successful is just the ball on his hand. So we try to do that for him, um, and, and a bunch of other guys in the program who thrive with that. All right, I'm going to go that. So right now he hasn't done any interceptions. So hopefully Russian coverage can work together so he can cause his first turn over the season.

Uh, knowing a guy, he's been a guy in the past that throws lots of interceptions because he takes shots. And, you know, I know he's even a throw the ball as far as he can in front of our crowd. So you got to do a good job of plastering them. To, to, to physically the run game with the run defense was a lot better in the second half Sunday in the first half. Does anything really change there at all? Our aggression, um, you know, just to piggyback off that, we got to continue to be better. Uh, personally for me, I don't like seeing the amount of yards on the board granted, you know, we did win. Um, but you know, I don't want to, I don't want to be the hindsight guy and forget about, you know, the run game is still a, I think, an issue for us has an issue for me. Um, we got to be better. I don't want to be one of the last teams in the league in a run game. So we're doing a good job. You know, where are my sets right? Uh, the coaches are emphasizing it and uh, eventually he's going to get going. Obviously, you never want to have a teammate be treated away like Jerome, but with Ernest Jones coming in, he's highly talented. There's a pretty good run defense, uh, kind of linebacker. What does that do for your defensive room? Terrier, Terrier, my book, uh, but we, it does it, it does a, I can't really speak on it because I don't really know, uh, Jones that, that will, I don't know his game.

Um, I've heard from others that I know that placement Rams. I said he was good, but as far as that, I don't know. Hopefully this move works out for the betterment. I'm obviously, I mean, we all want that to, but um, we'll see how it goes. I feel like a positive thing, obviously when John Schneider and your coach are working to get an impact player under team when NFC is kind of this wide open. Um, it can be viewed as a positive or negative thing. It depends on what, what window you look through. What's that process like for you in terms of having to learn guys and their tenancies and communicate with new players that are coming in during the middle of the season? It's a big process. It's definitely not easy to rework your roster in the middle of the season. Um, they're going to do what they're going to do regardless. And obviously I respect that. I'm forward. I believe in their, their system and what they want to do. But you know, it's an adjustment for all of us to learn a new guy and um, kind of reestablish a new relationship and reestablish a new voice that you're going to hear, making a call in the middle of the field, especially, you know, because he's the quarterback of the defense. So it's just something you got to get just to all of us playing at a different weight this season.

Has that been any sort of an adjustment for you? It has been. Um, just getting comfortable with my body again and figuring out, uh, you know, my strengths and weaknesses and how to make sure all my all my weaknesses are just completely strengths. So it's been a challenge in that aspect too. And I think I'm doing a good job at it so far. But this past rush is going well. How much of it is guys playing off each other like I'm thinking of boys sack force from was, you know, two you collapse a pocket and then he's able to get it. Yeah, you all in a, yeah. Um, I, I would say last game was the probably the best game. Surprisingly, it was all working together as good as we did. Um, I think this past couple games prior before that game has been a lot of us just we just went in and it just happened to be like that. I feel like this Atlanta game was a good game of us communicating the past game schemes, whether it's a game or just going to straight, where a straight rush and just reading off each other. Um, and we had to get better at that. It's only been a couple games. Well, so I've been seven games. We have a lot more football play to get better and build our relationship on that aspect.

If you dropped in covers as much as you thought you might have or. Um, but on par. I've dropped a good amount of time so far this year. I'm talking about doing it now. So she put me on whoever now put me on tour to kill. No. Have you seen Derek Hall grow in the last. For my seat in this here, being around him. I mean, he's the same type of player that it honestly. Um, only thing that's been different is mindset and it's applying to the field and he has it has to continue. You were working for how big I was. Jackson had a duck here on the week after. Did you have something that you have to do? I had to do something that was a little more personal, but not I didn't make that bit. But speaking of that, I don't know why we didn't run the ball in the last six section of the game. So talk to them boys down the Columbus and telling them to run the damn ball next time and just. Trust the kicker. But it's not good. Did you get the penalty, the intentional penalty late in the game? I don't know if that was on purpose. We I think Mike brought that up to me and asked me.

Anything is on purpose or they did by accident. I don't know, but. I thought it was intentional. If it was intentional, it was a very genius move. I didn't I wouldn't expect that. So that was actually, you know, big brainplay by him. Did you think there should have been a second life? No. I'm be real. I don't want to be biased. No, we ran out of time. We just my boy, my boy, uh, 18 was back there. It's too comfortable. But it's all good. He's going to learn. First game with Robert and Harris. What were your impressions of him? It's like six eight and it's crazy. He's super, super strong. I've been watching him. I've been seeing his game from afar from a while. I shouldn't have been watching it. I've been seeing I saw much Chicago. I saw him in Jacksonville. You know, you just watched a lot of football and a lot of tapes. So eventually you just see guys. You pay attention to who they are. So, you know, it's been a unique process of just bringing them in. And he's picked up a defense pretty well. Um, very powerful guy. Uh, versatile as well. And I think it's going to add a lot of, a lot of good plays to our defense here.

So. Do you think the event of the lineman have arms that long? Shoot. Can nobody touch your chest? You in the ball game. I like you don't want big strong lineman grabbing you and, and trying to rough out you. Because they're already bigger than us in the first place, especially me. They like six eight three thirty. And I'm wherever my way is. So playing with extensions is very key for you. I would say that he's got a lot smarter. And he also write GB. Go ahead and talk about Calvin's intelligence, you know, the, you know, where he's grown. Where specifically is it? The film room. Is it kind of picking up, you know, the playbook? Where have you seen that? I would say Calvin has gotten smarter just like his game knowledge, like expecting like a different kind of routes and stuff like that. When did you feel? I would say in the spring I started to get a lot more comfortable in our defense. We said you break up the cash issue with the German.

I'm sorry to ask you earlier, but what is like going up against him? Do you think you enjoy it? Yeah, I love it. He's tough. I like going against him a lot. He's really good. What have you improved in your game just from that, for example, those those 101 matchups this preseason or whatever? You know how ball of who this game is. So Jeremiah, he forces me to play the ball because if you don't play the ball against him, he'll go get it. Yeah, yeah. And you, and you Davidson, how would you describe this defense now compared to this time a year ago from the standpoint of a confidence fact? Or you don't mean that you guys feel on the field? How would you describe it? It's different about it, I guess. Everybody's a lot more smart than they are. Everybody's like, I would just say that we're going to just just just smarter. Yeah, but when you look up and lay some of the side of the cup back and Caleb down, transfer it in. What did you feel about that?

Did it just grow stronger in that one week span, two weeks span? You're still on up saying? I feel like those guys have played the level those guys have played at. Yeah, I would say that. Like, a guy was coming in and, um, what they say, he was coming back, so he was coming back, it just still like, I'm hoping I could do it in any. Yeah, you're just still? Thanks, man. Of course. You can really feel the defenders around you. Like I said, if you can see three or four people around you, you can really do too much. Like I said, there's a lot of more space with his offense, a lot more holes in the defense that you're trying to get the playmegers into. I'm excited to be able to work with that. You can't really do it as much in practice, you know, you're not going to get hit, but more preseason and first couple games, I'm excited to see what that looks like. What do you think of the sheets, uh, extension? I'm excited, man. Like I said, from jump, uh, he's a special, special player. You don't really get that so many players like him that's so quick, so fast, uh, at least speed and anchor around routes too.

So I'm excited to see what he does in the future, but I feel like that's the least they can do for him this year. How do you think he would get me out of one another? It's just speed, man. Speed, you can't teach speed at all. Just having us on opposite sides, even playing on both sides. It's just speed down the field. You can run 15, 20 yard end breakers, out breakers. And, like I said, you're going to have to play two safes most of the time, or you can run the ball, you can get underneath the routes. It's going to be a great compliment to the offense, so I'm excited. Chris, you said you hope this new offensive playmegers in the position of a player. What about you specifically, what's an area where you think you'll have more opportunity than fit your game? Um, like it's a lot of areas that you can see to look at, to improve my game, but yards out the cases are one I'm looking forward to. Just more opportunities with that, more space. Just to showcase my speed and my ability with the ball.

So, I'm excited to do that this year. Something that I really showcase the first two years, so I'm excited to be with... It's something that I like to do. It's a quick game element of it, just getting the ball on your hands. Yeah, a quick game, play action. More over the middle routes. There's a lot of different things that you can say that this guy's going to help that, but like I said, I'm excited. How would you describe the chemistry between you and me? Garrett, how are you doing? We're getting way better, man. It was our first year last year, so it was kind of up and down, but that's what it comes with the game of football. So, we worked a lot this off season, OTAs, which was really good, and we got off to a good start these first two days at Camp. We're getting extra working, but that's going to come with time. So, I'm not worried about that at all. We both competitors, we both want to be the best, so we got to do something to be good. Where do you kind of notice that difference? It's just like, feel on the routes, what do you kind of notice now that it's year two that gets more nap? What do you mean? It's like, there, for you and your dad's got to work.

It's just like, it's more than that, man. It's NFL, everybody's good, so we just got to know what each other is thinking, pre-snap, post-snap, cover cheese, board of balls, won't go. Just read, what read I am and then progression, everything goes along with that. Just being on the same page, being, like I said, chemistry is built with time, so just little stuff like that that turns into big things is going to be huge. You caught one from Spencer Routland at A2, what are your early impressions from him? He's real talented, that's the first thing I've seen from him. His arm title is out of charge, he's a real natural feel out there. He's going to be real good, I want to see him in action, but from my first impression, he's going to be a real good player. It's going back to the sheet that you talked about all the different stuff you should do, you think there's still a lot more there for him? Oh yeah, he hasn't really, I think this is the first year of being receiver two or really receiver.

In my opinion, we both are receiver one, so I just be able to move around, run real routes, feel like it's going to be a huge advantage for the same. It's a special player and I can't wait to see him ball, I can't wait to see him get more opportunities. You can see what he can do. By run real routes, he can get opportunities and all to run. Yeah, just getting more, he hadn't really played too many plays in his first few years, he kind of just get thrown in there when he's getting the ball or when he's a decoy or something like that. He's actually being involved in the offense, always being in, even on run plays, I feel like he's going to be a huge advantage for him to get a feel for the game and be more natural. How hard is a receiver like that to shed kind of a, think of him as a deep threat label and then so people just think of him as a deep threat, but how hard is it to shed that label or that perception like that? I mean, that's what life, everybody is trying to label somebody as one thing or two things, but I feel like you can showcase, I mean that's not really what you are, you know what I'm saying?

As it gets more opportunities as you can see, you can see he can do more and more, that's what anybody on the team. So I'm excited, like I said, and for his huge opportunity is going to get this year, it's going to be a big one for the Saints. Does this scheme ask for more blocking from the receivers, is there more responsibility? Oh yeah, for so, I mean, that's what I told you too, we both don't have to block, and I know we're not the biggest guys or the strongest, but like I said, we just want to be on the field, we got to be on the field for the play action plays, all those things. So we both got to call block D-Lime and block linebackers, but that's what coming football, so we both got to take that next step in our game. Is that somewhere there's like a payoff, like you guys know you play from play action next time? Yeah, it's going to be a huge payoff. Like I said, most of our office is based on play action, all the in-breakers, all the yards at the catch of a play, so we got to go in there and block, and like I said, take that next step and be able to be grateful for our team.

Like being here? Oh yeah, so, I feel the weather out here, and that's what I'm used to, not using the war, and then it's out there trying to catch my breath, but it's a great opportunity for us. Are you going to chance to see family and friends at all, so this is their football friend here? Not yet, but they're going to come by here soon. Appreciate you, John. Thank you very much. Bro. Yeah. That defense, especially the DB. How does that enhance your guys? It makes us better all over the field, whether it's us inside or outside. We got a great second there. We got Jordan, IGB, Zell, Jermaine, so they're getting us better each and every day. We got the best DBs in the country, so I think there's going to be a game where we play better DBs than what we got here. Who's your favorite corner to do against? It depends on what type of day you have and stuff like that. If you know you into the boundary, you're going to get hands on one from IGB, so you got to be ready in the zone.

He's going to break, so you got to get in and out of your brick with him real fast. You talk to more trash than Zell or anything else? No, you're going to feel one out there. You're going to hear him and you're going to feel him, so he's going to play you're going to feel him. For sure. You talk to more trash, you were Brandon Dennis. Brandon talks to more trash, but when you get me started, I can be a hothead. You just got to get me started, that's it. How do you feel about the fight? The fight was going to be good. He got the wiggle, he can do it all. He just got here, so it's just a lot being thrown at him and stuff like that. So when he relax, get the ropes up, he's going to be really good. When you get here as a freshman, I ask hard on the same thing. What's the easiest thing to pick up on right away and what's maybe the most difficult thing for you guys? The easiest thing is to pick up on your hothead by adding stuff like that. And the hardest thing is not getting in your head. We got great receivers all around, so you have a bad day and nothing going on having a great day. You just can't get down there yourself and lose confidence. You know my aunt, how's the team? You were freshman, I showed you a lot of hands.

What stands out for most people about that? JJ's a dude, so he goes out, he's going about his business like a dude. He makes the play, you're going to get too happy, mess up, you don't get too mad about it. He's just going on like next play mentality. I don't know how hard it talks about it, he's going to do around the entire field slot. What do you like about the bottom line? I like you can't really game plan for somebody like that because you go on the slot, you can expect one thing, but he's outside, you got to expect another thing. Koja was just talking to us about his leadership role behind the scenes. How have you seen that? You started specifically about showing Jeremiah kind of the way, but for you or for any of the guys, how has he been a lead role? Who's JJ? Koja. Koja has been good, he's been here longer than most of us. We're really unprepared to Koja and stuff like that. Whenever we need help, we ask Koja, he's a funny player. I think he probably won the funniest in the room, so when you look at him, you always can get a laugh. He always going to pick us up whenever we're down. Who are your favorite receivers to watch in Molo? I like G5, I like my league name, receiver baller right now.

I like the Vontal, I like Justin and Marv. And for people who are, I mean, you're talking like a guy who's ready to like pop off a little bit here. What are people going to see from Carnival? They go to the new play ball and talk about trash with it. Oh yeah, definitely. What's your best advice for the Chicago? Yeah, it's Chicago. I got my claim floored. I just went to school down there. What's your best advice to Jeremiah at this point right now? I'll tell him play ball, keep your head up, keep your head up, I turn up and play ball. You're going higher up, you're going higher down, but it's life. You know, no that you still care and you still want to be a part of this. You know, just watch and practice. There's a couple of little things we're doing different. Whether I'm communicating with Gumbarr or other people. You know, so be it. You know, you're also talking with him and you get him points during the offseason, just a constant communication. How do you see who grows a person, you know, in part of how he's approaching things,

how he getting ready for this season versus his rookie? You know, I think the thing with Keanu is he's more comfortable. It's nice first time around the track. It's actually like he can catch his feet under him. I always think when you're in your rookie season, you're going from bowl game. I don't even know Wisconsin playing a bowl game. Sorry Wisconsin, I don't even know, but personally I just think when you go from bowl game to training for the combine to, you know, rookie minicamps, OTAs, the, you know, minicamps, I mean, the training camp, the regular season. You really don't get a time to really catch yourself. You know, you understand to play book now. You can be more vocal. You know, I think with my absence, the other guys' absence, you know, you need guys like that to step up and be ready for those opportunities. What do you think of the surgery you had in your offseason? Is it the same you had during the season? Is it more thorough? What was just tightened down everything? You know, my left side, because I was over-compensating a little bit.

But, you know, it was, it wasn't anything that lingers, you know. I'll say this, a groin's not like an ACL, it's not like anything's ever going to get affected again. And, you know, you know, feeling good, able to do everything, squat and heavy, with power and speed. So, you know, it feels good to get after it. What do you think of what the team was able to accomplish in some of these in terms of bringing guys like wrestling and things around these days? You know, I think they're all good acquisitions, but, you know, you never want to be known as a paper champ. So, you can't win the offseason. I think the work gets done out here on the field. It's done in the classroom. I think it's done training. You know, and then you see where you're at in training camp. And then you build on that. You know, I think we got the right guys in the building. It's just about putting a completely month of field. Can you tell us how difficult is it to separate the business part of the game in the actual football club? Oh, you know, you always want to, you always have to treat it like a business.

Because, you know, one day it's going to end. And that's a good job. It's not like in college where, you know, you got four years guarantee. Well, now you don't even know what that I am, I don't know, it's crap. It's a transfer portal. But, you know, you have to... I still have love for this game, and I still work my tail off, and I still put everything into it. And that's not going to change. But you have to know what you bring to the team and what your value is. Can you have anyone in the field to be out there with your teammates today, emotionally? Great, you know. We got a new training staff, I'm still learning the warm up, a little different. But, you know, I love it. You know, just getting after it, learning new guys, going through the same drills I've been doing by myself. I actually like having more people around, because like, kind of go stir crazy when it's just you and another guy you're like, damn,

I got to go back up for another rep already. And so, you know, it's nice to be up here and give a chance to be with my guys. Can we confident in the field we'll get down with your emotion? Oh, I'm going to try to remain pretty neutral, because I don't want to be to either way. All I know is I want to be here. But we'll see what happens. It's my last year here. I've had a great career here, but I look forward to playing next year. What's that second surgery you said at this time was on the left side? Is the first time around on the right side? Right side during the season, left side. And that was just tightened down my core muscle. It wasn't the same as my ad doctor. You know, you can ask Dr. Bradley, Dr. Zuckerbron, who did the surgery as well. If anything, it's going to help me and make me a lot stronger from here on up.

Can you say you were training with another guy who have you come to mind? Tyson, I've been training with him for the last eight years. We've always trained together. We've got a trainer up north, Shao Kohele, who's my guy. He trained a Heath Miller, Brett Kiesel, multitudin guys that I'll respect. And we've just been getting after him. Can you give it a very cute guy's historically? 35, they paid big contract, and he that's held against you? I think there's not a lot of history behind it. But, you know, for me, I look as I'm not looking to be like anybody else. You know, my game is different from everybody else in the sleep. You know, I like to think I can play the run in the pass, and that's where I'm different. I remember last year, Mike T. you just brought to my attention. The thing that's really cool is you watch powerlifters. And my game's built on power and technique, and those guys go into the 40s.

And so, that's what kind of research I'm doing behind the scenes. But, you know, we'll see what happens. There's not a lot of history, but I'm here to make history. And I'm here to win another Super Bowl of Air, and you know, have a great season. Do you have a set goal for yourself on how many years you want to play in the NFL? Or do you just take things here right here? You know, it was top answering that question right after the season. I will say this guys, I can't keep answering that question right after the season. That is not fair to the season that's not fair to my family. But in my mind, I got three years, and I want to maximize them. I want to play at a high level, and I want to go deep into playoffs. And, you know, we got a good team, and I'm going to do my part to be ready for all those situations. You've been playing on practice in the New York Portola Church, or is it possible you only that you might fold in and, unfortunately, it's your choice? I have not even thought that far.

I've taken a day. My day, you know, I told my agent, and we talked about it. I mean, we were cool coming out here. I'll be here for many. And then I'll be there for training. I don't know what the work entails, but when we get there, we'll cross that bridge. Why would a man have three or more remains to deal with these three years? You know, there was a conversation between me, Omar, and Mike T. And there are certain guys that are one helmet guys. And I want to be one of those one helmet guys. And, you know, there's a hunger and desire there. But that doesn't mean just hanging them up and calling a career. To me, I think, you know, I got more bullets to fire, and I'm excited to do that. What's the meaning of last one? You and Russell Wilson are going to be out there with Walter Menn. What's a pain in the ear patch, though? I saw Russ's social media, but I have an idea to see it.

I like the surprise happens when it happens, but you know, it's cool to have another Walter Menn year winner. I think it's an honor to be there. And I'll say one thing. I won't be here. I'm just telling you guys, so it's not a big deal. I won't be here because I have to do a Walter Menn year thing on Thursday. So it's not like I'm skipping. But it's an honor to be with Russ and, you know, it's an honor of doing things in the community. Doing great work. And, you know, the cool thing is, as much as we get honored and nominated for these things, the work doesn't stop. And I can see that with Russ's foundation, you know, we had an event for our foundation. And my mom was quick to tell Russ, hey, we need the partners around. And I was like, mom, let's just enjoy the event. But, you know, it's really cool to be a part of a league group.

All right. Thank you. Thank you. This next season, kind of trying to push for a job. Is that like a confidence booster for you? I mean, I'll say it was a confidence booster. One reason I say that, because you get like good coaches who believe in you. And like they give you the tools to go out there and just play with confidence. You know, not there doubting those stuff. Like, you got your teammates who got your back. Like, my first play when I got a third Tennessee, like when DeZel, the IGB and the Germain. Like, first thing they say is like, no, where you just go out there and play with confidence. You know, the tools, the usual tools, just go out there and make a play. And where about a play coming to you? Where is your time and show your job? You just do it. And then like, the same goes for you. He gives me, he puts me in a position like, at the drills we put in, the work you put in, the one-on-one, so I just go out there and just perform at the highest level. And if you're better at you right now, then maybe last month, I force back to say that. I mean, I got to lay better just because I've transitioned a little bit to the inside. Niko's father, so I'm like, now I'm actually just like catch technique. And it's often covers not always press at the line. So it's like, now I'm able to like move my feet, move my hands, like see, like what I got to do.

Just in case I got to go back in corner, I can, I'm playing off now. I'm very confident out there. Do you think that Niko is a natural fifth of you or have you had to kind of convince yourself to transition around? I mean, I feel like it's natural fifth of me because I feel like me, individually, I'm a fast learner. A fast learner, like coaches help us learn fast. Like, because they're always honest about the techniques and stuff. So you like, you play down, like you pick up all the things you did. Like when we get out here, they coach us to like the techniques. So we used to go out there and play like fast spot. And it would like, like, reversatility, you're able to go out there and just compete. Is that where you kind of stuff, you're spring or do you get kind of mounted? So I've really been stuck there this spring a little bit, like whenever you get it, it's like other things. I just bounce out there every once in a while, just like have fun. See if I still got it every once in a while. So it's as good as going through to compete at most spots. You mentioned the technique. What technique, you know, tips and things that you had to pick up and learn from coach Walton from the beginning to the end. I mean, this is why I always say, you know, because what preaches are honest, you hang,

you see it, you see it, move your feet, and then get your hands on the mat. So it's like when you get like, when you out there, you're able to like process like the way the receiver comes off the ball, looking at the hips and seeing like the way he moves. So you're able to pick up like the row concepts you can get out of that. So it's being like other coach walls for me, like as a player and just like him breaking out football to you like one on one. It's like very beneficial. What was the hardest part of making that transition from outside the inside? I really say like cornering, you got your cover two, you cover three, you cover one, it's easy. But then when you got nickel, you got so many responsibilities you got to see like the row concepts, you got to be able to process like diagnosed, roused faster then what you got to do out corner and just be able to like everything's quick like a transition. You got to like, you got to move fast, you got to learn to move fast. It's like game recognition. Where do you think maybe from the most since you got it? I would definitely say, I would definitely say yes because when you get to like college,

it's a little bit different. High school, we don't got to worry about things like that. When you get to college in a school like this, like your recognition of plays, and like you know your jobs the way like the coverage is supposed to be played, understand all your teammates or questions you have when you feel like it's easy. What have your credit? What have you done? He's very talented. He's a great dude, he's a humble guy, great teammate, very supportive. He's like a guy that you don't want to rob because you can feed off your energy because you can see like when you make a play, he's like, he like IGB. It's like IGB 2.0 so he's like, when you get out there with guys like that, with good energy, it makes you play a little bit harder. And then when you make a play, it's out there and it's helping you. It's being out there with him, he's a good player. One of those guys, first question, ten full kids, a couple of higher students. I've said obviously over the last couple of years, you know, it's helping you through it now. What is it about Flunville that gets you through any play at Ohio State? That's a big question, I know. The question is, I'm just such a quick person because we have so many kids come out of Glibu

and just play at Leeds, I'll lead like Leeds, schools, and they like, like tracks a big part of it because I mean, actually in a Glibu everybody that I run a track like it's made it to our, you don't really get a choice. You're able to just like get out here and like know how to compete and then like, G like, G and Bill's that mental toughness into you. So like, have you like, I heard now you got to be mentally tough because I mean, life's not going to be easy. So it's like being out here, being able to compete. And when you down, just pick yourself back up, I mean that's what G is down to me, that's what G is down to me. Beginning, like he played a quarterback in high school too and he hadn't made a transition to receiver at here at Ohio State. And this is helped me, it's going to be rough at first, but he has to push me to get me to where I need to be. When you think back and just like you're upbringing, you know, coming from, you know, Africa being over here, just what do you how did all you feel, call of that kind of helped mold you into who you are now? Yeah, I play definitely maybe like tough and like, not afraid of like new change. And he's like willing to just adapt to my environment.

What was it like for you coming in here as a freshman and getting to see if it's team go win an national championship most first few weeks here? It definitely was a high motivated, you know. Being a freshman, it wasn't really my team though, so like I didn't really get it. So that makes like push me like that once, when it's my turn, I got put in the word, I want to be the same position, but with a ring on my finger. What did you learn from those guys just about what you need to do to have a chance to go accomplish what they did? So you just got to, don't let the past affect you like, and just, yeah, I'm a lemon, you got me a lemon, you got put in the word, it's not easy at all by any means, it's got to be hard, but you have to play everything into it. What do you view as like the best attributes of your game that you're going to bring to this team? I would just say my size, my speed, I can take the top off the defense, and I can play tough and physical. He's about that. What's the last year, and like, when you think back to the overboard this year,

what has the last kind of year been like for you as you've gone from players that was kind of going through the process to make the progress and make the transition to the series? How has this last year come to terms with you? I was definitely changed like, because I was always, my sophomore year, I was hurt, and my junior year, I got hurt during track, so I was able to, I was a highly recruited athlete, and this time last year, it was like when my junior really picked up, and it's been crazy, like, must have another, like, he was just leaving me up in my corner, in my coach's everything, and they just give me the motivation to go. What is your relationship with like the team? You said you guys, you two, it's the team, you're in the other team, you've been through work with them before. Oh yeah, that's a big good. Before I even got a hostage offer, and before I even, he was exactly actually through with them a couple of times in both. Bella Fatt,

she was a cross-chain. Yeah, I was working with, I knew it was at head coach, and he invited me to come in and run routes, and I actually ran routes for Tavis right, if we was exactly, and it like, we first came to the O. We had a lot more, we got together, us, the freshmen class, and he's growing, he's working on everything. He's definitely got nice on. This corner record, we're here, it's a great challenge, it's a calmness there, kind of, to go on a beautiful freshman. The quarterback? The quarterback. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, they're definitely childhooded, and you say, I always say, I should be buying it, and they make it hard for you, and when you play this high level competition practice, and you go on a game, you're like, it's twice as easy to do the practice, and he's really built on stuff. Is there been a moment on the question? I know that, but down at, oh wow, this is something that, you know, I guess I can walk on the call. I guess there've been, kind of like a moment first,

I've realized, oh wow, these guys are, these guys are really good at this. Yeah, just like, I just first, like on high school, like I would just take some, like reps and, I would just go, yeah, I just had, had speed, had, had, catch-a-go-low-these, like, face-separation, and I come to college, and for everybody's fast, everybody's big, so you get to find new ways to get open, it's really good. For sure, something higher high-cube. Yeah. And like, Coach Lauren, I said though, you gotta be who you are now. Yeah. You gotta get out one, right? Yeah. Yeah. Definitely, that's what you do. When did you feel like you lost in the last year, where they could, through the count on you, and stuff? I mean, you remember, how you came along? I think it started in like, fall camp, just flashed in there, got to like the first days, wearing a wrong style, I was hallowed on. Sorry. I know what it is, but like, we're in a good concentration. Almost been great. I like him. I like his personality.

I like him more feel, and that's important. Yeah. And the life-appers, what kind of ideas are in me, differences in responsibility, is we're in the system, or is it gonna be, is it so hard to kind of see? Oh. We just, we just learned it right now. We just worked it out. We just worked it right now. We just learned it today, so. Yeah. What do you think about the things that you can do and what you can do in this defense? I think CZH, you said what you can do in this defense? Or just what you can do this season, you know. You can do this season? I think CZH, they gonna pop off this season for sure. I think this definitely gonna be one of his, his year for sure. Got to. What do you think is the biggest difference between French and French and French? Yeah. To me, it's not different. They both, they both coach you, and they both, like, they hard on you, but they want you to be great. So I'm thinking of difference. You're talking about how you're looking at what you guys can do and fitting it. Do you think jitters you want? So we're trying to plug in touch

about you guys. Oh. No, I don't think so. What's the result of the most of the few or about the stuff you do on a lot of things? I think it's the way you're trying to pop on you. I think it's sunny and great year. First before anything, sunny and great year. I feel like he liked the voice. He could be thinking something sunny and just, he can't wear it out for the whole team. I understand. So sunny and definitely great year. And before anything. I'm just gonna tell you what I think. I'm not sure if you're not sure. I bet for a person, a person, a person, a person with a deep head. I'm sorry. How does that show itself? Is it absolutely local? Yeah. It is. Of course. I'm sorry. What is it? There's something that you can see about that. On the field or when it's leadership? Whatever. I mean, like I said, he's just a great leader. Like he, you know, vocal guy. Like you said, it shows up on the field too. So he's, it's hard to follow up to a guy who says something don't own. And like,

maybe not own their stuff. So sunny one of those guys who, he's own his stuff. So when he leaves, everybody listen. It's obviously been long string of linebackers success of a higher stage. I said it again. I've been a long string of linebackers success. I don't hire a state. I mean, you look at, you know, guy like sunny taking that next step this year. I'm motivated. Are you going to be part of that linear to be one of the great linebackers to play at a higher stage? Oh, I'm ready for it. I mean, that's what I'm hopeful. Please, I just know how to work. That's all I have to do. Just give an effort and just go on East day of day. I want to say this with full respect. When we see JJ and sunny, it's like, that makes sense. When you're the third guy, were you surprised to be named? What puts you in that same category? Yeah, I was a little surprised. I kind of have a feeling because like, it kind of like, I mean, I kind of could have guessed it. But like, I just knew like, I was one of my goal to talk to him behind Buckeye and I just put in the work that was in there. So what did you get in? What did you mean?

How did you take it? It was really special. We're right after a text on my parents. And they really knew what it meant until like the video came out and the question explained it to them. So then, after what it's been, I guess you're curious. Back then, when you were playing football, you were playing football, then right guard and games. Did you think you'd tell the difficulties of going back and forth? Not just like when you're learning them, but actually having to play both of those five. Yeah, it's pretty difficult, especially during the game, you have to put the whole mind around. It's a lot easier in practice because it's like getting like several down, but like going left in my hand game. It's pretty hard, like in high school, it was every other player who went back and forth with the triple option. So I knew it. I was comfortable with it. And sometimes I just take it, but I'm walking to go around to my screen, and say it to be the same playing in it. Again, I'm more time to get into my head. I can bring in two factors in this project, which is really kind of fun.

I can bring in three factors, and set them by attack, and set them out. You're trying to get them out of the box, but also, also, yeah, so I got to set the example. And then, like, my first two weeks here, I was like teaching them, like, I don't know what they're expecting these players, because I've seen some new players with them, and even new defense, like technique two, because I keep the same technique, but just helping them out, because we need all of that. What's your idea of playing back, or kind of coming about? What about like Raff, what's your team's name, what's your coach's role in game? What's your team's name, what's your head about, and what's your team's name? It came close to springtime, they wanted to have, they just wanted to have a good fight out there, and they don't play the best, so they just didn't make the choice. What's the other team's name? They're awesome, they're great. A lot of eyes, and it's awesome, because everyone's watching something, and it's not like, someone's only watching this place, so you know what's going on. I've got to beat back to you, like, after the play, after the practice, when you're all three off,

you're all five. It's awesome. They can tell you, like, everything, because they know, like, what's the left side head, like coach Johnson, coach Dickie's watching left, and coach the one who feels a lot of them, right? So, like, you know what's going on, it's funny. How was the experience that you got at the big reps in the big games, all that helped you, like, coming into the zone? It really boosted my confidence, and like, and I can, like, lead the young guys to, because I know what's going on, because they really don't really, it's just first time spring, so I like to do them all. My stuff's like, just that leadership of them. Versatility has also been mentioned a lot, and it's pretty long for both sides with all playing in different spots, so you can elaborate on that. Yeah, um, this... Yeah, I can beat that up question one more time. Can you just talk about the versatility? That coach has been talking a lot about that, and I'll tell you guys in different spots, being able to win. Yeah, so, like, you all see it in my eyes here, we lost two stars, all-marry started, so, like, really guiding you step up, and, like, going to season, and then I was in the playing,

and I started to left guard, and then I didn't really know I was going to be bouncing over the right, and what had Donnie knew is I was going to bounce out through tackle, so, like, it really helps everyone, like, I think a lot of guys in season are playing multiple positions, and it's going to help us in multiple positions. But if you learn from Donnie and Jogger, it's that and all that. Just, like, technique wise, they really helped me, like, pretty snap stuff, and, like, no one in my life was, what you got, and then, I started in February, three places on the deck. All right. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I saw you stack another one. How do you manage your own expectations when you have 14 pressures, but you're not putting in the sack numbers that you'd like to get? Um, I think just staying the course and continuing to get better, which I think I've done, um, and then, hopefully that day comes where the stats come, but, I think I affected the game, a good amount last week, so, um, that's, that's good for the team. Nick, I'm sure, is there a Super Bowl there,

plenty of players you think about, and then, in the front of the way, are we done better there? But, what comes with, the fifth line, and the, the line's running over time, is that one particularly, when, or it's worth one, so it's not guaranteed you're going to stop one, but is that one particularly? Is that, like, the ball? It's difficult to get over. Yeah, no, that's tough, especially because we have calls that could negate that, um, and we just didn't really, like, they ran in the zone read a few times, and we just didn't, um, find an answer to it. Uh, but yeah, I mean, I definitely thought he was going to hold it, or keep it, but, uh, I got to do my job, especially in a big moment, like that, you can't go out of your job. Um, but, um, we definitely have a plan for the zone read this time, so, so, hindsight's 2020. You, you, you, you, you, well, that, that is your job, right? That was, yeah. Okay. But then you,

like, mid-player kind of like, yeah. Did a shrug, but not a solid occurred, right? Yeah. Yeah. You've been dependent on what should have happened. Um, I, I mean, there's a couple of variables, I think, the, the tight end came across, so that changes some things to the guys behind me. Um, I honestly don't know who it is, but I just tried to, tried to make it decisive for the guys. The ideas. It's a lot from that group, just watching in terms of how you try to attack or this time around, from your experience. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, like any game that you played a team before you watched tape and learned from it. Does this, does this often define the torres they get, kind of less, I guess, less in trouble for holding, or is it just, depending on the kind of stuff? Last year, for sure. Um, last year they had two of the top, kind of, penalized guys in the league. Um, uh, but, uh, it doesn't look too bad this year, but we'll see. Do there are more crews,

are there, referring crews that, kind of, let it go more than others? I mean, um, it seems different every week, so, let's see. Do you count your steps throughout the day? Is that why you use a scooter? Uh, that's kind of how it started. I don't count them, but I just takes a little off the legs, and we're not, it's a lot of walking from building to building. They play a lot of team, having worked with you for your soul back, having you break the neck. Good morale boost. Yeah, it's good to have them, um, and say to watch a play. We used to history and change things, and put it in the sun to have them again. It's ifin' like they go back and be looking at them, I'm sure they're looking at the same. That's it. Um, it's definitely a little emotional, but, uh, at this point, it's just a game, so we're just looking at the tape, trying to learn from it. Um, a lot of similarities from last year. A few new guys, but, uh, really good defense, and, uh, offense that obviously has 15 in fact there,

so, I'm always dangerous. You said it's a little emotional? Do you try to, like, tap into those emotions, or do you kind of want to just put the distractions to the side and treat it like another football game? Yeah. The latter. Oh. Man, I try to prepare like him. I like that from, you know, he prepared when he prepared he had tensiono, so that's definitely something I try to do like him, but, like you said, I'm, I'm leading, so, but when it comes to preparing, and being intentional with study, and how I prepare for practice, I'm definitely taking that to it. Anything from the leadership system? We. No, I'll code you lead, tell you a different type of a person in the end. Those big things, and when you don't know something, I don't know something. He writes. Where's that come from? Just being honest, like, you can't be more of those guys when they ask you what happened and you try to lie, and then you get a film movie, and it's obviously, obviously lying here, so it's the opposite of the opposite. Yeah. Now, how,

how is the future? You know, so people, is it that you don't know something you know, but just be careful? I can't believe the last time I happened. So, that's a good thing. I don't know. I don't know. Those big things, you feel the Cody Delphur, leadership standpoint, what is he taking out the door with it? You know, maybe he's got a feel in that slot. Yes, sir. I think he's definitely some big scene to feel, because Cody was a great player, a great leader. He's like, with a quarterback, a defense, he's definitely some big scene to feel. Yeah. And like, Coach Lauren, I said, you got to be who you are, not who that guy was, right? Yeah. Definitely that's what he was. When did you feel like you lost him last year, or they could truly count on you and stuff? I mean, you remember, how did you count on him? I came along. I think it started in like, Fall Camp just flashed in there, got to like the first days, weren't around, so I was home all night. I don't know what it is, but like, it's a bit of a concentration. I'm just being great. I like him. I like his personality.

I like him all feeling. That's a poor, so. Yeah. And the life backwards, it's a different responsibility, it's a new scene, the system, or is it going to be in its own heart, it's a kind of scene? Oh. We just, we just learn it right now. We just work it out. We just work it right now. We just learn it's the A7. What do you think about CZHX and what he can do in this defense? Um, like CZHX, you said, what he could do in his defense? Or just, what he can do this season, you know? We can do this season. Uh, I think CZHX will pop up this season, for sure. I think this definitely got people in his, his years, for sure. Got to. We think it's the biggest difference between French and North Georgia and the British. Um, to me, it's, it's no different. They both, they both coach you and they both, like, they hard on you, but they want you to be good. So I'm, I don't think there's no difference. We've been talking about, please, we're looking at what you guys can do and fitting in. Do you think you think you do what you want? So, we're trying to plug into

that. Um, no, I don't think so. What's the difference between coach and you, you know, about the sun, you go on and off, it's the way you're expecting hot water. Um, think sunny and great year, first before any day, sunny and great year. So I hear like the voice, you can be thinking something sunny and just, can't worry about, for the whole team, I understand. So sunny, definitely great year before any day. And, I'm not sure if that night is a few school year, not just four I bet, I'm sure, I bet people are the people. Yeah, sir. How does that show itself? Is it absolutely local? Yeah, it is. And, of course, what is, is there something that you need to that? On, to my own field, or when it's leadership, whatever, I mean, like I said, he's just, just a great leader, like you, you're a vocal guy, and like you say, it shows up on the field too, so, and he's, it's hard to, to do something, don't own,

and like, maybe not own their stuff, so sunny, one of those guys, he's own his stuff, so when he lead everybody, this, because obviously, he's been long-tring of linebackers success at Ohio State. And, you've been long-string of linebackers success at Ohio State, and I need to look at, you know, guy like Sunny taking that next step this year. I'm motivated, are you going to be part of that linear to be one of the great linebackers to play at Ohio State? Oh, I'm ready for it. I mean, that's what I'm grateful. I'm going to do two higher than a motion. How does that motivation for you show up on an idea that basic value is more preparation, more film? What does that look like for you? Yeah, it's just really an edge and everything you do, I feel like, and you know, carrying that, that kind of pissed off mentality. I mean, obviously, not letting it affect you in a negative way, but, you know, making it, you know, reminds you, hey, like, I'm going to go the extra- entry, I'm going to, you know, see if I can find something extra on film, late at night, or I'm going to, you know, go over this, you know, she, again, and I'm going to go to the plays one more time. Like, all these little things

that, you know, I just, you know, we just can't let that, what happened last time, happened again. Well, earlier this week, I think I was talking about how, you know, play back here football, you tend to be playing in the Rose Bowl, you grew up in big 10 country. What does it mean to, to take part in this game? What does it mean to you, to kind of grow them up? It's a ton, man. It's, it's crazy that, you know, that God has blessed me and put me in this position to, to be here, be the quarterback in the Rose Bowl. You know, a game that I grew up, watching every single year, some unbelievable games that I've watched in the Rose Bowl, some classics, and just to be a part of it is, is a blessing. And I think we're all, we're all humbled to be here, and we're all understanding of how unbelievable this opportunity is, and we're not taking it lightly, because, you know, again, it's a business trip. And, you know, the only thing that we're looking at is, you know, we win this game, we go on a playing couple, so, you know, it's really exciting. It's, you know, crazy that we're here, and that we're part of this, but, you know, can't let it be too big, and just, you know,

gotta go out there, play football, and you're dead. I think so. You know, you go back and watch the film, and, you know, I just didn't, you know, and I'm, I'm hyper critical of myself, and I think we all are here, you know, but I just look at it, and I'm like, man, I don't think anyone, this year beat us. You know, I think we beat ourselves every time. And, you know, you watch, and, you know, we had to turn over, you know, in our own 20-yard line, and they got the kick, you know, that's two possession, just going to the first half, and then, you know, obviously, the way the game ended, like, and we're still one point away. And that's what, what hurts, and it was, you know, a hostile environment in their place. You know, I'm just thankful that, you know, I said this, it was the other day, but I'm just thankful that we get to the other game. Do you feel like, but looking back the two weeks ago, you were in Tennessee, you've come back, you're as accomplished by this group. They may be one there, you know, until you show them, you know, you mean,

put it all together. What is your sense of the team, from that aspect? Does it feel a little bit different? Yeah, I think, you know, a game like that, you know, and still is confidence in you guys, because it shows us we're capable of. But you can't beat your presence in it, and it can never be comfortability, it has to be confidence, and drive, and that's what it has to urge us to be like, man, like we can do this, when we play it our best, and it was anyone in the country that can hang with us, but we have to be on our game, we have to make sure that, you know, we can't let anything go away. We love people to take this. We love you. Oh, you're backing up with that. I know you're backing up with that. I know you're backing up with that. You're backing up with the team. The evolution of this offense makes it so much easier to come and on the show, but I know what you mean, what is the need for the offense and what is your second? I just, you know, at the end of the day, I just want to keep the ball moving down the field, you know, getting in a rhythm, I think it's going to be big for us. And I think we did a really good job of that in Tennessee game. We're weathering the storm a little bit early, and there were a couple early calls that we got to be able to sound in that game.

And kept this going, but regardless, we kept the drive going. And for me, keeping us on schedule, taking care of the football, and making sure that we can bird on third down in our situation we good. You know, we do all that, all that stuff. Obviously for me, I want to be these guys. We drive the machine because we got, when we're on our stuff, I mean, we're hard to stop, so we just got to make sure that we finish our preparation, right? These last few days and go out there and put our best reward. Thanks for all the thank you guys. You come on this way. I'm talking about this, you know, just recently, talking about how what I want to do for the world is, I want to bring that home energy, the Hebrew, right? So last year, of course, I'm sure you've been doing it for years, but the year when I spent my own, he brought a lot of energy, excitement, happiness in the room, which is his natural energy, to where I only had to focus on me.

I didn't have to make sure other guys would, you know, feel some type of way when they came in here, because hump brought that. I mean, I have a hump not here, but I saw a winged it for a room. I want to be that guy to make sure I was an amptical practice. Everybody's, we're taking a built team on period, you know, it's a low day or something, you know, it's a disadvantage, but like, I want to make it feel like home's come. You're like, yeah, pairs, the trip. I want to bring that, because that's what me and hump did to each other. We were having each other, I was like, dude, it's probably a walk, we're lit. So I want to do that. I want to bring that energy, I want to make bring more guys, you know, should do that, you know? Yeah, I want to do that from day one, you know. I kind of, I want to do that from day one, just talking to them, and obviously it's that time I spent the obviously, it's a before-to-day started, just being in my self-just thinking about what the room needs, you know, because I know I renewal as one of leaders, you know,

on offense is that we need a guy like that is going to make sure the O-line is picked up, we're ready to go every day, I was held accountable, little things are having a practice of people and saying anything, and how I'd maybe leave, maybe different than somebody else may leave, you know, I like to practice, at least, like, the legal positivity, you know, I mean so, but he, the energy I would be on, just though, I'd be on, so I was kind of, how would it be? It's gold mod, living my whole life, all the NFL team captain, like, specifically, in the NFL, I wasn't a captain in high school, wasn't a captain in college, but I want to make a joke, I want to make a high school, so I feel like I'm not going to be a captain like he's that I felt. Yeah, but that would be awesome, you know, but, you know, that happens, I'd be great, but not either way, I want to assume a role as a captain from the perspective of guys

on the team, the individual words, and get back in that way. Yeah, I mean, I can't say that, I mean, I guess the biggest thing is that I felt like, like, I would use two in the past, but it didn't take just the first LTAs, it took training, left and right, once this season ended, because I know what was going to be the champion. So, I took a lot of, you know, grips, just to give back to feeling like myself, for what they want LTAs, and then now, I feel like I've been in the middle of the world for the first week, but now, like, today specifically, just changing some small things with my feet, that is it, talking about the long coach, about some things I'm doing with my feet, to get to that, to sell my traditional handle that I love to sit on. I thought I felt great already, but I'm okay, I felt even better out there. Sorry, the more excited tomorrow now, I'm getting my feet back, and how I like the right side, and I'm left side, so I'm excited.

In the league, whether I left the right, they're still going against Premier Guy, so obviously, they're high expectations for the left and right tackle. But, there's definitely, like, the level of energy, and like, the expectation definitely taken to human side, because now, tonight, the blind side, that's the, that's the tackle world, you know, so, so yeah, I would say, in terms of communication as far as this, even outside of the facility, and stuff like that, like really creating that, but in tackle quarterback, bond even more off the field, I think, has been something that's even been cool. I got the text one day, because I, like, you put it up, I was like, you can't. You know, yeah, I've been training both. I've been training both, you know, I asked after the season, they're like, honestly, you know, we'll talk to you, so please season, and I just got the text one. I'm not having what happens with the free agency. So I was like, you know, what? I had an O season right tackle. So if I get the word, I'm going,

I'm standing right tackle. I did what I did before, I'm building on that. But I was like, I might as well as trying to let tackle now. As if we're gonna be left tackle. And I'd rather do that than train on right tackle, we're gonna call it a, do let tackle. I don't switch my feet yet. You know what I mean? So I'm like, let me just prepare an advance. I was like, yeah, it was good. You know, I think occasionally, on third down, there'd be a lot of twists. I was just not like, it's on a magic. And I think that was my mindset for like the first half of the season. Like I didn't have to go into the game with some pros. Like, I kind of say, did that. I kind of figured, okay, like, this is the type of rush. I mean, again, this is how this guy usually rushes. If I get the vibe, this is how it begins, like the rush, you know, tackles that, you know, first of your guys. You got the perimeter patch on. I already know what it was gonna be. I already know what we every stuck. And honestly, just knowing that's kind of an advantage to, so you're not, you're not, oh, the problem twists my side again. It was never air gone, but it's coming up.

I was like, three plays in a row. Two minutes, I do that, it was the way it happened. It's so loud. You know what I mean? I'm watching more everybody else. And you rarely, you know, it goes out there occasionally. I was like, you know, I was like, are you gonna pick me? You know what I mean? So that effect, it's kind of, it's also kind of an advantage. But it's also exciting. Okay, I'm gonna get the hardest to look. You know, so the real, real reps, you know, the things. So really, I went into kind of process. And I was like, hey, when I told me, let me know about, I'm just gonna train it. I was training all the way. So TAs, I guess if I didn't hear anything about TAs, I would've came in like, so, you know what I mean? Because just like, I'm cool with training, both continue, I would've been cool training both continually. But I feel like anybody, any position will be like, okay, like you want as soon as possible to give your feet kind of subtle to it and your hips, subtle to it and your hands.

So then, certain kind of that. What have you been hard to get to work both, during how to use? No, no. But they're definitely, but in terms of the development, it's definitely a lot faster, staying on one side. But I think having that week that we had to transition with the seasons over, I'm like, what's fun? You know, good, I'm trying to get up, put a minute on it and we think things out of town right now. But when it comes back, I'm gonna show them the one house. So I just got a house not too far from, so I told them, I got that house, I could yell outside. DJ. You know what I mean? So, yeah. My mom said, you know, just go out there, my dad just dominated the person that's confronting me. You know, just do what I've been doing for the last two to three weeks, I should say.

But you know, they play men on men, so I'm just ready for the challenge. Yeah. I mean, feels good. Just say somebody going out there and playing men on men, I guess Ohio State receivers is something crazy. But you know, we just ready for the challenge. They said they're not chasing their game plan, but we gotta go out there and show them the reason why not to play men on men. I mean, I don't really, if I be on the curve, I be on the curve, I be on the curve. It's not really a big deal to me. It may definitely be a best of a show just to be on the curve of a game, but you know, it's not really a dream of my, it's a dream of mine, but I don't really think too much of it.

I mean, no, not yet. Probably hit me after this season. No, just no playing in the college football playoffs as a freshman, playing in the Rose Bowl as a freshman, playing in the Cardinals, not in the National Championship. I mean, it's a blessing for sure, but it hasn't hit me yet. My favorite catch, I would say we played Michigan State, the one I caught with two defenders. Definitely probably my favorite for sure. Or you could go the one from Iowa, as you say, and as a opponent too. I mean, like you said, it's pretty frustrating me having a game that I had in the

Rose Bowl and coming to the Cardinals, doing different things, chasing their scheme up against me. But I mean, like you said, whatever I could do to make the, I mean, help the team win. It's not really a big deal for me. As long as we win, that's all I really care about, and it got us to the National Championship. It means a lot. We put a lot of work in this season. We have highs, we have lows, we have people cutting us out. But we hear it now, we just ready to put on a show Monday. Oh yeah. Yeah.

First of all, the National Championship, because there was a lot. I mean, you see everything that he bent through this year, people saying he should be fired and this is not the third. But I mean, you see everything that he bent through this year. I mean, I see everything that he bent through this year. I see everything. People saying about him on Twitter. I wasn't here. He first got the head coach on job. But I know this year, for sure, we definitely got a win. It's for him. Oh, I mean, it's a lot of people in the league, I should say. I can't really say who, but I mean, you had guys like Odell, you had guys like Odell, you had Stefan Dicks. It means a lot of Michael Thomas, Chris Carter, just a lot of, you know, guys I played in NFL and stuff like that. But yeah, really them guys for sure. What do they say? No, just keep going.

You got it. You've not stuck for sure. Really, I really, I really appreciate that. Yeah, so they say. Like a physical defense, like you said, like people say, like they like to play man, they're not changing their skin. So we're just ready for the challenge. Like you said, the best defense we probably go see all year. And we just got to be ready to go out there Monday and just put on the show. I'm excited for Will. First coming here in Ohio State, January our first workout we had together. Just everything that we did through the season. I'm just happy for him to be in this position right now, but we got to finish the job and that's the winning out of the old Monday.

I mean, it's pretty funny. Them saying that because I'm just only a freshman, but I mean, it's a blessing for sure people to even say that, but I got two three more years left of college. And I'm just focused on college right now. I'm not really worried about the NFL right now. I'm just happy to be here and I just can't wait to put on some Monday for you guys.

I mean, all of the reasons we were just sitting on the bench and we just seeing him hit the quarterback the ball come out. And we all just got up and just started jumping up and down. We all decided. Happy for jacking that moment. And we just knew that that moment like, you know, this we're going to the daddy for sure. I mean, it shows a lot of me going from high school or winning three state championships. I saw my daughter then coming to Ohio State just appeared for national charter right now. Me just so that I've picked two great schools, but I'm happy to be here and I just can't wait to put on a show Monday.

The coolest person. I mean, you got a lot. I can't really say just a specific person. You got a lot of great guys. We trying to lead like, oh, Dale, you had guys like Stefan Dex. A lot of other players will just get kind of my mom, but really, really them two guys for sure. Oh, Dale, a step on this. You're looking at Notre Dame. What's up, guy? You got out of your mind. Trying to attack and kind of dominate. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, like they say, they play man. So I mean, I'm just ready for the challenge and just get ready to go out there Monday and just no put on the show. Thank you. We're going to go back over there. The vice-geno had gave me. I said, just keep golf first.

I know the reason why I'm here. I mean, like he said, just keep golf first and just don't keep the main thing and the best corner I face this year. I mean, I've faced a lot of great corners. I can't really say, but yeah, I've faced a great lot of great corners. I can't really put a name on it. I grew up in Tokyo. I don't know. I just know you're veanged. You don't let me why I'm doing it and just doing it like this. I'm going to be a part of that weather. I just want to ask you a second question. Could we have a drag race over there that I don't see all along? I can't sit here. One of the times I know that you didn't get that. One of the best things about the year is like I can kick on stage. I know there is traction, but yeah, like not sure. And if you like me, I've got some abilities. There is only one thing to do. You have 1,2 seconds. It's key point out.

Pretty good group Christian Gary 29 is a great corner 15 Lennon Moore two great guys are right there very physical but you know we all have to receive it so we ready for the challenge. I'll say just no understanding the defense understanding the defense understanding the game plan understand what Coach Kelly is trying to get done. I mean just coming in I felt I progressed from my first game against Akron to now. I felt I better each and every week. I mean things slowed down a lot for me but yeah really just no understanding the versus and no understanding what they're trying to do to me for sure.

I'm two guys great part of the best we go see all year for sure. Two physical guys but you know we're ready we're ready for the challenge that they're coming with and that's the play man oh man and you know we ready to go on Monday. Yeah I mean the environment is pretty crazy seeing all these cameras. Suddenly I never thought I'd see it there in my life but it's a blessing for sure this defense position right now. I mean we just had a prayer prayer prayer prayer meeting and you know we all they all the I mean we all discussed the issues because they discusses issues and you

know we just want the word I mean not true and how we we had off before Tennessee game and we just came out there on Tennessee game and we played with a chip on a chip on our shoulder off to other players and we go continue to play with that chip on our shoulder in a national championship on Monday. Do you know how that very impactful yeah the very impact on my career I should say you know just going to his games I was a very young kid seven eight years old him playing Westfield Westfield G and they played Clemson Orange Bowl down in Miami. I mean just going to see his games it was like yeah I definitely want to play on this stage and I can't wait till I get to know that moment for sure. Who are you? I'm close to there because they really just in his own his own love space he's just walking

around trying to get his mind right trying to get his mind ready for the game but you know he just get everybody hype in the locker room and you know just trying to get us ready to go to win the game. Oh yeah oh yeah for sure I mean you go play mangas Ohio State receivers I mean just be ready because you know we definitely go come out there and know give our best and I mean they said not to change what they do so which is ready for the challenge. Not a year later definitely sometime my career college but not my first year in college I should say I mean just to be able to be in this position right now it's you know a blessing or just a yellow key for Miami to be here and I won't take it for granted I'm ready to go out there

and give them all. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I was watching that game against, was it Georgia? Yeah. I was watching that game. I was pretty sick myself because I was actually committed at that time. So, I mean, yeah, they left a bad nickname off. But, I mean, we ready to go out there and Monday to redeem myself. Go put on show Monday. Yeah. Yeah.

I mean, I just laughed. But, you know, that's what they do. They're not going to change what they do just because we're a higher state. You got to go out there and put it on. Put it on. Why not to play? Man, no, man, it gets us. So, we just got to go out there and show them Monday. So. Yeah. He said again. Sorry. My journey here at a higher state, repairing a lot from that your shape of shit, me just going through everything that I've been through. Now, first guy here, all the Matt Jules, all the hard workouts that we had, all the hard practices. Just preparing all of us for this moment. And, no, I'm just ready to go out there and give it up my all on Monday. Okay. Okay. Yeah. We just squeezed this.

And, you know, I'm not. 200? Me is big and strong. Yeah. Yeah, I go. What's your name? What's your name? Yeah, that's great. Yeah. Pretty good. Up around. Yeah.

And, why not part of the most is the one against Michigan State when I caught up with two defenders on their song. Party Laughin or the one after that, I should say, or you go the one against Iowa, party them three, party my best ones, for sure. Oh, I mean, just we'll put in the ball in my area. And, I just know how to make a play for them. Even though somebody was grabbing my face, I just know I still have to make a play because the ball touched my hand. So, I mean, just in the ball and the other thing, I have to make the play no matter how the ball comes at me. I have to have a big game. I mean, we really, they really feed us Chick-fil-A or Pizza after the game. So, it's really either Chick-fil-A or Pizza. So, yeah, probably Chick-fil-A, for sure.

Yeah. It went pretty good. Everybody's just speaking with their thing is going right in what they think is wrong. We just a lot of the older guys, what's in their opinions on what we need to do to come together as a team. But, you know, that meeting definitely helped us in a big way because it helped us on the field as well. Because we played a great football right now and we just like to cheer that on Monday. Yeah, it definitely got emotional. I can't really say what it really was said because players only and coaches only. But, it was definitely some stuff said that people took, people took and went with it. And that's the reason we're playing the way we're playing right now. Yeah, make help me a lot this year.

Him being our older guy in the room. Me and Carl are in the end as well. And Brendan is in all the guys in our city room as well. Me just a great guy as well. It's very smart. I mean, make this been a big part of the reason that I'm having this season. I'm having a good one because he's been a big. You know, older guy has been there. Been a lot of great guys in that room. Chris Alive, Gary Wilson, Marvin Harrison Jr. Jackson, Smith and Jim. So, he's seen all the greats I've been through there. And he teaches us the right thing and the right way and the buck out way for sure. I love it. That means they don't know what's coming out of the next. We got 12 personnel. We got 11 personnel. You get those two of us in the world. You've got to stop it all. What have you made of the quarterbacks of the three of them? Not too much. I feel like they all come in here working. I feel like everybody's making their throws, making their passes, everybody making their directions. Wouldn't you take away the losses? I feel like it's standing. I'm going to have to say it again. What did you take away from last season? You had to take the ball and then you got to say it again. Winning this game, that was it.

Winning this game, go out there on Saturday, beat the man in front of you, and then came out with a national championship on the bench. Strick Ball is about improving us and doing what you want to work on this season. I'm going to go in there every day. I'm trying to get my game as well. I was a pioneer and I'm trying to come out to fill it on. We hear about it. We need our team. We have just finished really well. We have a little team. Strick is step up who has started to step up and realize what plays for us. I feel like we've had leaders from last year that came back. I feel like we have new guys that stepped up into their roles and their roles and around the team. They have become leaders. Being a leader, you all always have to be vocal. You can have the same examples on the field. Or you can be vocal and do both. I'm just not yet. You have to be watching. You're here. What was it like to be like the same? I got a little bit of a lot of stuff here. That. I was happy for G.I.C.E. I heard Grin and I said, Grin, I should have done an extra work. The ball is ball. We come out here and play ball. He's out here doing a pro day yesterday.

I just see him ready to go make some real money. Do you feel like you're a different player now going into this year and maybe you were last year? I feel like every year I've just improved on my overall game. Blocking and catching consists of eyes. People used that learn. But I feel like I'm just overall better. I came in here ready to go. How much does it push you when you're in a room with guys like Max and Will and Bennett that you know you've got to be on your game if you're going to get a field? Man, I feel like Arya is sharp by Arya every day. You come in and work and they go push me every day to work. It's just like I'm going to do them. I'm probably going to ask this before, but it's now a crowded room. You got a bad person. What's the brand you're going to be on the back of the room? I love them all. I love Max. Max Claire. Max LeBlanc. Both of them. I love them. What's your flashed any time you're here? Is this the year we're all coming together? I feel like Arya was my year, but we're going to see this year. I'm going to come out here and put on a show for the Bugnazia.

I feel like everybody on the field is ready to go put on a show. We're going to go back and back. You got to play quite a bit though last year, too. What did you pick up from all of that, especially in a championship run? They were counting on you. I honestly just be ready at any time. Honestly, you can be throwing at any time. Just like I was, I probably had some rest while I was just throwing in. You've got to get it done. Yeah. If you don't get it done, they're going to find somebody who has to do it. I think we asked you this every time we get it. You've done it. It's time to tell you. We can definitely see what you've progressed as a tight end, you know, the all of that needs. Honestly, I'm even here again. I honestly over the spray and some of this, I feel like I've told them I've body a lot. And I got stronger in the wheel room. I've also got a little bit faster, so I can get in another brace a little bit better. And just the mine part of the game. The middle part of the game. If you got an even better end to it, I mean, how would you describe that? I said, yeah. The mine part of the game, you know that?

Well, I feel like it's a lot more fun. I say the tight ends become here. Five o'clock every other day. We'll do a walk through more fun. Which is more students at the game now. We're in like that. Thanks. Thank you. You're welcome. What do you remember about that play? I feel like it was just a exciting play. I was the last read on it. Like the very last read on it. I don't go out. I came down with the catch. So I'm going to get the first down. You know, it wasn't that hard. Thank you. You're, but I still had a great rookie year. Six yards of carry, you know, things like that. I think it was like nine touchdowns, ten including the playoffs. And so there's always been like, all right. You guys let me show my talent trying a little bit. Like even when I had the knee. So I had the knee, right? A lot of people don't know. Like I didn't get hurt again whenever I got, you know, got cleaned up. So I went down in 21, right? Had the injuries, the knee injury. And then came back later the next year.

And I played the first few games. And I just feel there was a lot of scar tissue in there. So I had to get it cleaned up. I didn't get hurt again. I could have played the whole year, but I got it cleaned up so I could feel like me. And so after I got that cleaned up, I had the first two games back from the injury. I had over 120 yards rushing. Right? And then went on, had great, great ending of the year. You know, 100 total yards in the play-all game we lost, which I hate the most. It's not going to matter to me I want to win. But then come back the next year, hurt again. Like, torn Achilles. So two really unfortunate injuries, but that's just a guy's plan. You know, and I think that the storm is now over, you know. And I do think that I'll be able to shine a light to the whole world. Are you concerned that you have that label that you can't stand with me? I could care less. Because I do, I know this out there. Because as it should be, it should be. I got hurt two major injuries back, not back to back years.

But you know, so I haven't been on the field as much as I should. That's true. That is true. But it's not like I'm having these little, little dinky injuries and sitting out. It's something I can't control literally. So that's why I'm not bothered by it. Like, yeah, I am injury-poly. You can say that. You know, but I do think that the chargers are getting a guy that's going to be healthy from now on. You know, God will it. And it's going to be great. And I do think that it's going to be a great however many years here. When you've been on the field, you've been highly productive. Yeah. 5.8 hours of very average for your career. Like knowing that when you're out there, you're very productive. How much confidence does that give you that really all you need is an opportunity? All the confidence in the world, you know, the way I work. I want to say just from the numbers, but just the way I work, my work ethic, you know, and my relationship with Jesus is like, I have the most confidence when I step out there.

Because I do know like, if he grants me the health, it's over with. I don't think I'll be, you know, I think it'll be a great year or whatever. A couple of years, however many years, he grants me great health, you know, and I think just the work ethic, my prayer and all that stuff, that's what helps me have that confidence. What the numbers will be there in there, they might be higher after this year. You know, Zen, and it's crazy to think about it because I had six point yards or six yards per carry. You know, so we'll see. You've been in Florida running behind this line, does it fit together? Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, I play with Bradley. I play with him, you know, I know Slater, I know all the guys, you know, and I'm excited. I think, like I said earlier, it's a talented group. You know, we just got put together and win some games, because that's what I came before. Just an only part of the year or... I wouldn't say part of the recruitment, but like whenever I decided I was going to sign it, it was great to have him in the room. Yeah, we're great.

We have a great relationship. I think it accomplished, it complimented each other very well. You know, he can do a lot of stuff too. You know, a lot of people think he's just power, power, power, but I think he has some other parts of the game too, which it'll be great, because I feel like I can do everything. And when one's getting tired, we can roll it in, we keep rolling, win some games. When you, the two of you are going, how do you think this is going to look? What will be that partnership that is back there? I know. That's a hard question. How do I think it will look beautiful? You know, a lot of people call this a passing league, but I think you got to run the ball to win a Super Bowl. You know, if you look at the teams who win the Super Bowl, they can run the ball, they can control the clock. And so if we're both good, it will look great. Beautiful. I would describe that as a bread-roaming offense. I would describe it as, you know, a great offense.

I think he gives a quarter, he's going to give the quarterback a lot of options. He's going to give the running back a lot of options. He's going to give the receiver a lot of options, you know, and I think it's going to be great. His offense is going to be amazing. One thing that we talked about, you know, is like, why are you going to build something good Russian offenses throughout your career? Whichever way you've been. And you said that one part of it is just, you got to call the plates. You got to call the run the plates. As we're running back, you know, how much confidence, how much you'd say it is to give you a play collar that's going to stick with it and allow you and the offense to run the teams who are going to win the game. It gives me a lot of excitement. You know, it's going to be, like I say, it's spawned the played as offense. You know, and I think he does have some good things in the pass game too. But like you said, he sticks with the run and that's the identity. You want to offense that has an identity, right? You're going to be looking everywhere else to find your identity. You want to have it. And so I think his offense has that. And the guy he builds and puts in there, it complements that identity.

So I think it's going to be great. You mentioned you're around a percent now, so you mean Fogo or Pertranian? That's the expectation. Look, I ain't going to answer any of the four. If it's up to me? Yes. Look, because I had this problem like two years, three years ago. I'm thinking I'm full of gold. I think I'm ready to go. And then next year you know I'm on PUP. Like, hey, look, some stuff is above my pay-gray. So, but I don't know. Hopefully I can start. I think I'm ready to start, you know, at the beginning of training camp. But that's not up to me as I've learned. How do you feel about your people? I wouldn't say that. I think I've been in some great organizations. And I think this organization is a great organization. And the training staff is great. And so they just want what's best for me, you know. And they're taking care of me, which that's what you want in the organization. And so that's where that comes from.

Which I appreciate it. Like, I really appreciate that. You know, because I'm a type of guy like I work really hard. So maybe sometime I'm blind to, you know, the danger of something, you know. So I appreciate it. But like I said, if it's up to me, yeah, I'm out there. But never know. Well, any frustration for you during the getting into the agency, you know, dealing with rehab and not, you know, having a full season of paid for the production to go out there. Is there any part of that where you're like, you know, having it over market with a different situation, you know. Nah. I like it. I like how would I say this? I like it the hard way. But not, you know, I like it the hard way. I like it. I like trial and tribulations. So, I mean, the dice that I was giving the role was I was coming off a third Achilles. And that was, that was the Lord's plan.

So it was beauty in that. Like, I was comfortable. I was like, there was multiple teams, you know, I wasn't, it wasn't like I didn't have any other team. But I was comfortable in sitting back and just enjoying the process, letting myself get fully healed. So whenever that team whoever I would sign with, who now is the Chargers is going to get the best me, you know. And I think people all around the league know that like, okay, this guy, okay. It's a high risk, high reward type thing, right? Not even a high risk, low risk because you, it's a business, right? So I forgot her last year. So not as much money and he's be throwing it. But I think everyone around the league knows that whenever I am on the field, the numbers don't lie. And so they know that. And a lot of teams will like, are here. You can, we give you this, but we want you to be healthy. So when I'm healthy, it's going to be great. The chance that I've been giving here, I'm so grateful. And I know that's going to be, they won't be, they won't regret it.

Are you the type of person that likes to prove people wrong? Like you've done a couple things like the high risk high reward, injury from, you know, like are you the type of person that really tries to prove people wrong? No. I hear it. I see it. It's pretty cool. Like you'll never see me unless I'm just like in a bad mood. You'll never see me like, oh, like if I have a great game or a great year, like I have this wonderful year, I ain't going to go back and, you know, like, yeah, yeah, what happened? No, because I don't care. Like you're eventually see, like I'm like, I'm a guy that's really good. So I ain't worried about that. But I'm proving myself right that I am one of the best in the league. Right? So forget all the naysayers and people that talk about being injury prone. Because whenever I have this great year, it's going to be forgotten, you know, too. Why why get that energy? Talk about Justin and all our kind of chances.

Yeah, I was, you know, we just with him, you know, he's a great guy. I mean, he was in my class. I remember seeing him. We were at an award show because I was a dog walker or finalist. And I'm like, I've seen him play, but I didn't know he was that tall. Like I didn't know he was like six. So when I first saw him, this was years ago in college. And I'm like, am this the tall? Like, it's cool though. Like I like I never really got to, I know a lot of those would be kind of, you know, you know, nerdy. But he's cool, dude, very late. But no, we'll face to him. But it's just because like the last three years, he's been disappointed in the season. So I feel like we put more work in. I definitely like that's what we're missing. And he's got to do that throughout the summer, the spring, the fall. And then he's got a show on the field. Tell the guys just ask, Jeff, can you take a, you're still like in a mold, in your practice. And you look at it through all of the deep bits. And you look at the personnel chains, you're failing to come in and with the sun, you're moving up in the postural line of sprints.

With all the guys in the picture coming back. What's your like view of what's out there on deep bits? And how would maybe a mile do you think you could do something to improve it? It's kind of just like, I don't want to like, high part has too much, but I kind of look like a legendary defense kind of. I feel like we got playmakers everywhere. And then moving sunny down, I think that's a great move for him. You know, he's a big athletic dude. He can play in a box, he can play like safety thing that's just showing how like, versus how he is. And Caleb, you know, he's using Caleb, how he plays. He's an animal. He's only a sophomore, I think. And I feel like the guys we brought back, you know, we all can, we're all dominant. So I feel like as a collective unit, we're going to be like unstoppable. So confident is a problem. No. Well, there's a part of that too. And as I mentioned, they're about pacing yourself. So if you, if there's that much self-believe, then there's also that part of going to build depth. You know, in case you have interest, case you have vision. So how do you look at the spring in terms of getting the guys that are next in line as prepared to keep that standard high?

I think you just got to set a great example for the young guys and just showing them how to, how to practice, how to like watch them, how to take care of their body. Because those are the things you're going to need to like go on this deep run and think it's like 17 games or something that we're not. We add in games. So the young guys are going to have to play. We can't just play fit the games. The snap. That's not going to happen. So. Oh, you did. I can't get to it. In the 70 or 80s. It's going to keep working kind of keep running. Get any shape. You played so many things. You know, it's kind of surprising to me that you said that you said that it was a joke. I'm sure. But like, you know, surprising to hear that. It's a real company snap to play last year. The deck kind of tickets a long new last year. Do you think that you need to push it even further getting better shapes so you can play all 16 17 games? Yeah, definitely. I got to get way better shapes than I've been. And I feel like it was kind of like it was a joke. Of course, I needed those snaps because the years before I wasn't really playing as much.

So I just wanted to get like more experience under my belt. So I can know bring younger guys with me because I've been through a lot of these. One of those younger guys we're seeing right here. It's the first time it's heard all year back here. What have you seen from well? I've kind of felt like last year we all forgot about him because he was heard. Now he's running almost a second man out behind you and Ty. What have you seen from that experience? Well, it was a workhorse. He goes statewide. He goes work hard. And that's all I love about him. He focuses. He don't really talk much. He's going to get the job done. Do a job right. He rarely has any mistakes. What would be a successful season? A national championship. When all the games we want to lose into things, we got a mindset that we can't beat. And we just got to go show it. That mindset different. It seems like you guys expect a national championship every year. This year even more so. You guys have all come back for this. You guys have all decided like a numbers amount. Does that feel different?

Or is it probably any difference? It's just the same work. It's definitely a difference. Everyone working harder. We noticed our last run. Most of us don't have any years after this. We got to go bigger, go home. We're not trying to go home. Finish big. We know what you guys think of Michigan. But when you look at what they did, they won the national championship. And you guys took them down to the final minute. You know what I mean? You were right there. Something goes a little different. You guys could have won that game against them. Does that tell you anything about like that? Hey, you guys want to win a national championship. But you played to the 59th minute with the team that won the national championship last year. Like you're that close. So I'm saying we just like work harder. That's kind of coach makes a saying. You know, nobody cares. Just work harder. Like those, you know, when we played Georgia, it's the same thing. Yeah. Last, last play. You know, they went on the winning eddy. So we just got to get over that hump at the end of the season. I think we'll be fine. How frustrating is that? You're that close against the last two national titles.

Of course, as you know, it's frustrating. But you can't change the outcome. You can't really dwell on it. You just got to, you know, come back and work harder. Do things better than you did last year. And hopefully the outcome will change. Is that as you get older, you kind of learn. I thought I was working hard. Did you always find out there's a little more than you could have been doing? Yeah, definitely. I mean, that's how that's what growing up is basically in college. And I thought freshman year I was working as hard as I could. But now I look back at it. I really wasn't working hard at all. Compared to what I'm doing now. So just to learn anything. But for stamina is a 16. And the answer to like, what do you need it to be to be your best? Uh, it is a 75. 80, 85. I mean, I can, it's all on me. I just, I think it's a little higher. I was just trying to be funny. But I mean, it's all on me. I just got to run harder. Get the shape. So I'm, it's time to add to you. It's been a thing. The idea of a potential is 15 or 17. How do you, uh, decide about that idea?

Does it make you nervous about, can you last that long? Do you have worries? I think, I think we, I definitely can last. I was just, you know, we got to get the young guys to come along with it. We can't play 50 stamps a game. That's just too much on our bodies. Uh, just everybody's like, online, D line. We got to get those younger guys to play, you know, get that pieces on the D line and the online and everywhere else. So we can last that long. Speaking of that, if you like playing that new snap to man, not a year because I don't know if any of us were really expected to play that next. Uh, yeah, I did. Unless we were like winning by like a lot. Uh, I thought like, there are no moments you know, I can go sit down or something. But we're playing them big games like, you know, Notre Dame, too, or no, those kind of games. Of course, I want to be in, because I know I can contribute. And I won't want to put that on anyone else when I know I can get the job done. Well, it stands out about taking McDonald's. You guys are the second. Oh, yeah, definitely. K Mac is a K Mac animal. Y'all you haven't really seen it yet,

but in practice, he shows all the time. He's just, he's just, he's growing right now. He has to work, I think. He just has to get, you know, into playbook and things like that. You guys are about the exact same size. Listen, you're both listening to six or your three 27. He's three 26. Yeah, he's kind of look at him like my junior, but you know, K Mac, he's going to be a great player. He's got to develop more and get into playbook. So really a lot on you older guy. There's that large group of young guys, and then there's these seniors in the back. Is that part of your task for this year to bring those guys along as well? Yeah, definitely. We got to be leaders. Like I said, we got to have them play this year. We can't just play all the snaps. They got to get in there and get some work. And we got to get them right, throwing the all season. So they can play. And not just play, they want to like contribute, like make plays tackles sex. It seems like these guys get bigger. Each one of the freshmen class is going to be bigger or bigger. And those guys kind of, those are going to kind of while you're in the cell. Yeah, they're definitely some big dudes.

And they all work hard. I'm only seeing much of some of the day too. I'm not passing on, but throughout the workouts, they've been working hard, you know, they're determined. I can say that. And it looks like they're ready to work with me. How important this dude is. It feels like there's a lot of great defense. That you have big athletic defense attacks who can eat up space, but also move, you know, right? That is that. Is that an inquire maybe for great defense? To have guys like you that have some balls, but also a great feature. I think that is definitely. I think if you look at the last couple of national championship winners, like team of North, they got two good, detaco two athletic detacles. Look at Georgia two athletic detacles. I think that's definitely neat if you want to go on that big run and beat those big teams. If you think about that, they want to find by the defense attack. What's Jordan Davis and Daniel Carter? Let's miss you again. It's Chris Jenkins. Couple more questions.

You might as well know how, I mean, you understand it because you play it, but I feel like some time I don't know. Are people realizing how important defense tackles are? A little bit more than they used to? I think so. I think they're starting to develop more and more of these freakiest detacles. Yeah. In the combine, you see in those guys, they're moving forward to 478s and things like that. And when you think about this freakiest attack, how do you think you fit into that ball of that kind of player? You watch that and say, yeah, that's me. Yeah, definitely. I think I'm top notch when it comes to detacles, but I don't want to get a big head, but I watch the combine. I watch the doodoo drills. I have tape to you. You're like, you're looking like my film. So I think I'm up there with all those times. Do you become like a artist or a band of other classes? The way I get your things? When you're going to spring practice, you're not doing as much a weapon as a weapon. That's the stress. How do you work on that?

Do you have like a goal? I don't remember how many you have last year. You have a goal in mind. How many do you want to have? I mean, as many as I can have, I think I have more than that, but I think they've accounted. I think they've accounted some of them. And it's some of them where I just missed it. But I think we work on drills matching the hand. I think that goes big. What we do is a D line. Just affecting the quarterback is, anyway, you can. It's just great for the defense. That little thing covering his eye, you know, he might throw it. A little bit to the left to our players. So it's something that you really, really have to work on. It's a very good thing that you've worked on the most. You can bring your time here because there are a few guys that I've seen. Oh, that pass. We just need to take a good look. We don't have to ask. We're kind of kind of expected for something. I think I just have like an eye for the ball kind of. I kind of just look at the quarterback. And just, I see him like load up. I just try to get in his way. And sometimes he just throws it to me. I don't know. I hear it say to you, I have to be on the right side of the board. I'm going to get a bad dog pass. I mean, they get frustrated by, you know, we're a team.

We're just getting better. Yeah. Eight time to grow, you know, you don't have to have the, the pig mentality of problem of, of instant gratification, you know, you can develop and grow. So, and sometimes you may be behind a guy that's a really good player. There's nothing wrong with developing and growing and playing when your time is right. And if the time is right right now, the freshman, like, what's your main? Did you play early, you know? So, we try to also sell that, you know, we care about them as people and try to prepare you for life after football. So, it's bigger than just football. We're going to prepare you for life. Whether it's the NFL or on with a regular career in the workforce. We want you to prepare you as a young man and we try to sell that and preach that to the parents. With the remaining having that, in fact, you mentioned, rolling all these different spots. Do you anticipate, you know, there wasn't a lot of rotation among the cornerbacks last year, when everyone was healthy. Do you anticipate maybe growing him through the rough guys here with the longer season potentially? Yeah, we play it by ear.

You know what I mean? We see how goals by time we get in the camp. But, you know, obviously, he's earning his stripes. So, you know what I mean? When you earn your stripes, you know, a large opportunity for you. You know what I mean? We have to see how it goes with all that other stuff. You know, once we get closer to the season, and we're getting the game plan stuff, but he's doing a great job and he's taking a great step forward. Ten more years away that you've been building the room. The way you kind of establish your room now, it seems like it's been, like, the centerpiece is kind of relationships. And kind of building bonds. I'm curious, is that something that you came in, with the, like, a couple years ago, with the intention of doing it, or is it something that you're like, that's kind of been cultivated over the course of your time as a physician? You know what I mean? No, it's been there for a while. I've been doing that for a long time. It's all about relationship. If you develop real relationship and you're authentic in your communication, and you have honest feedback, and you have direct teaching, the guys that have a value in character and they appreciate that stuff, they're embrace that. So, but they have to know you care, and you have to know that it's real, and they have to know that you're really concerned about there. We're being as a young man,

and when you get close to them, it's been a lot of time with them off the field. You could coach them hard. And you can say truthful things to them, and then they'll embrace it, and you have real conversation, because you know, the only goal is to help them get better as a young man. As you see, a computer's grow. You know, it's a ton of listed though. Receive room is so far ahead, and the border is going to kind of skew that evaluations. How's that dynamic change in these two years? Is it scooped on older and you've been bad at even more counting? Yeah, it's done balanced up a little bit now. That goes with great competition. We go against the best receivers, and call it football. So that helps escalate your growth process, because if you don't figure it out real fast, you're getting embarrassed. So that competition, but what happened with that, I guys started competing. I guys started growing. I guys got better, and now it's even up a little bit. So, will you get really good work at practice today? You know what I mean? So, as competitive, it's fun. Those guys both on both sides of all care about each other. So, it's great competition, and they all are real close. So, you know what I mean? It's that stuff that gets us better,

that will prepare us for Saturday. I asked Denzel, about this same idea. He said, first day of practice, actually, the receivers kind of got them, because I didn't get a wake-up call. Maybe for this. No, it's just competitive, man. They got the best group in the country, that you're going to get every day. So, you have to bring it every day. You know what I mean? So, we got a great quarterback room. We got a great receiver room. The running backs are really good. So, when you out there going against them, it's deep. So, you have to be ready for it. And obviously, man, we're seeing a lot of good stuff with Coach Day and Coach Kelly doing over there. And so, it prepares you a lot, and it helps us grow. So, why don't you go into a room playing any Sasha's team for three and three? What's that? It's the one that you're recruiting. Or a wide receiver room, kind of, like, a part of your recruiting. It's like, these are the guys you get to play. Yeah, all that's because, you know, that's where you get better. Our shop is our. So, you know, you get to see that every day of practice. That helps you grow. It's no better thing to go against every day than to see that

on a daily basis. I'm also near room massage storage. Looking at to play that in the spot. We just move a lot of guys around. We watch our practice. We have a lot of guys in there right now. You know, we pop out. There are four different guys in there. Obviously, the Renzo's in there. Jameen is in there. Caleb. Miles, we have about four or five guys moving around. Right now, we just try things out in spring ball. See what it fit. You know, see what things work together. So, it's going to probably be some more guys in there. You know, we move it around to try to just get the right fit throughout the N and C. Our goal is by the time we get ready to start the season. What's your name? I was out about Calvin to do some hard work. He can run any strong. You know, I mean, he's fast. Very serious about his business. He's big. It's 200 pounds. He can run. He's strong. He's conscientious. You know what I mean? He's starting to grow and he's starting to get better with it. You know what I mean? So, we look for big things for him in spring. What do you want to see from here in this spring? Keep competing. You know what I mean? Now, he's made the transition competing today. You know what I mean? Start going in. That transition is all just like I'm in your main last year. You throw them in the fire. You let them go. You compete.

You go by the time we get out of the end of training camp. You'll be them figured out. Yeah, I want that. But now you just throw it all at them. compete. Continue to grow. Continue to learn. He has the skill set. He has the length. Now you just got to put it all together. And it takes time to do that. And hopefully you see that by the time we get in the training camp. It seems like it went through spring and kind of clicked for the main last year and you start to see and perform a little better in practice. Is that like a benchmark for where you want your parents to be? By the middle of spring, does he have to be at a certain point where you wanted to start clicking? Yeah, by the time you start getting about two weeks from now, that last week. Because it takes time because there's a lot of stuff going on. But by the time you get into that last week of spring ball, you look to start seeing the things that you look for show up. And then you get another evaluation again when you get into training camp. See if this stuff carried on to make sure we go up for starting in September. What's your assessment of the growth that we've made now that he's kind of got his few under one defense? What do you like about him and that technical spot? He's very conscientious. He's smart. He can run. He's tough. He's made it just because he's out of Europe.

He's been because he's out of Europe on his belt. So now you can see he's not making a lot of mistakes. He competes. He's real conscientious. And he has a physical presence. So the growth has been really good and we look to continue that throughout spring. Coach, thank you very much. I can ask one more. All you got to do is come back like Denzel's a great example. That surprised you as you reflect on all these guys that came back late for the reins. And they could have turned pro. No, the culture here is real. Coach, they does a great job of building the culture. The culture here is not a room. It's close knit. The guys on defense are real close. Those guys want to come back. They have an agenda. You know, we want to come back. They want to come back and walk away with something. So it didn't shock me. But it's a good environment for them too. You know what I mean? That's when you see those guys come back. That's the testimony to the culture that's set here. Their brotherhood, their environment. And how Coach, they run the program for those dudes to want to come back. Because we go at it. It's hard. It's not easy. It's not easy. What we do. Is it doesn't matter how he runs the program. Coach, thank you very much.

As far as intensity, how would you evaluate a dig nearly on? How would you evaluate your games tonight? Yeah, my goal was just to come out and play as hard as I could. It was a little weird last week. For the first time in my career playing a game that doesn't necessarily mean anything in terms of playoff contention. And I kind of had to check myself. And this week come in with a mindset of every game matters. And we need to put the best product out there that we can. And that's what I try to do. Later now, it was a cool push. Or you looked at it, looking into your work and push up when you returned. You didn't seem shaken up right after you kind of just talked about what happened. Yeah, Sam just tried to get it on it and caught me. It was more of like a stinger type thing. But the ref wanted me to go to the tent. So I had to go answer some questions. How many are home it?

It was like jammed, yeah, my neck. You are home it. I know that you've got a sort of a different home that helped you. Yeah, maybe. When it hits the top like that, it's not as good. I think these guys 11 months ago kind of crushed their dreams. Do you get the sense there are kind of a different team or. And also that they. This was a very important game for them to win. I don't think they're that different. I think they've had a ton of injuries on defense, which hurts them. But the mentality of the head coach, you could see it throughout everybody. It's really a cool team. I could. Just see from afar that it's probably a fun team to play for. And they've they come out and they've played a win every game and I respect that. But I've put so much emphasis on the ball, all meetings and takeaways. And I think you got two since the five week. Is there any accounting for that?

I mean, there's so many different things that go into a turnover or takeaway. How do you track your brand around that? It goes into every level of the defense. When you have your opportunity, I know we had two against Stafford. That could have made. I mean, if maybe if we get those, it sparks a bunch of other ones. So you just have to make your make your plays when they're there. And then just be in being the right spots. And I don't think we've done a great job of that this year. I think the last time I was in the night, the pool is all pro. Did you want that matchup? Would you think about that matchup? It's good. He's a really good player. And yeah, I wanted to see where I'm at against him. Have you ever seen anything like the Jameson Williams touchdown or his pop act to him? Have you seen something like that? I was in the tent. So I had no idea that happened. I was playing this game in Mustafa.

I'm kind of a misdirection sprinted all the way across the field to make the play. Did you see the play? I think it was, was it the one Gibbs cut back? Yeah. Yeah, I had like a ten-yard cushion and he ran by me like I was didn't exist. And I tried to sprint. And I just was just like, I don't have this. So thankfully Mustafa is a heat seeking missile and he made the play. Did you talk about your mindset tonight? What was your mindset against Miami? I mean, how did it have to get you? It took us a little. I mean, I think we came in with the right mindset as a team. Just myself. It felt a little like dead energy wise. But yeah, it was a learning, a moment for me to learn and make sure that I come in with the right mindset every single week.

There's a lot of plays where you guys get to the finals, pass breakups, and it'll be like a couple plays in a row. And then there's an explosive allowed. What can you put your finger on about the empty systems? Yeah, I mean, we did, we did get them to the second, third and longs. And then yeah, they would make a big play. You definitely want to capitalize when you back them up like that. We didn't do that tonight and that's why they scored 40 points. I'm sure, yeah. Oh, yeah, for sure. You had guys like Chris Carter, guys like Michael Thomas, really, them two guys for sure. I mean, Michael Thomas was talking to me before the game with a Rose Bowl in Chris Carter and after the game as well.

I mean, just giving me advice, just telling me to keep going first and just keep doing what I've been doing the whole year. I mean, I'm got bug out legs. So definitely look at them guys for sure. Make sure to respect. It means a lot of me just to care for Miami, just be able to play an actual championship as a freshman, something that I dreamed of as a kid. And I'm here now and there's K rated K can't wait to put on the show Monday. He said he can't. I mean, the Tissue, like he says, made crazy each and every week playing. But you know, can't, can't let it get to my head. I should say, let me just football at the end of the day, but you know, just have to be in this position. I mean, I should talk about this yesterday as well, but you know, I mean, that's what they do.

That's what they do. You know, play our game and no sort of reason why not to play men on man. Two. Four. Three. One. I go five. It's good. The problem. I'm not just going there Monday, just dominate the person I was confronting me. You know, just do what I've been doing for the last two to three weeks, I should say.

But you know, they play men on men, so I'm just ready for the challenge. I mean, feels good. Just say somebody going out there and playing men on man gets Ohio State receivers. It's something crazy. But you know, we just ready for the challenge. They said they're not changing their game plan, but we got to go out there and show them the reason why not to play men on man. Well, you know, the reason they now put up the football 2016 and somebody's talking about it right now. I'm sure we're going to be the conversation. Yeah. I mean, I don't really, if I be on a curve, I'd be on a curve. It's not really a big deal to me. It may definitely be a blessing for sure, just to be on a cover of a game, but you know, it's not really a dream of mine. It's a dream of mine, but I don't really think too much of it. I mean, no, not yet. Probably hit me after this easy.

No, just no playing in the colors football playoffs as a freshman, playing the Rose Bowl as a freshman, playing the Cardin Bowl, not in the National Championship. I mean, it's a blessing for sure, but it hasn't hit me yet. I'm sure. My favorite catch, I would say we played Michigan State the one I caught up to defenders, definitely probably my favorite for sure. Or you could go the one from Iowa, I should say, and then answer probably them too. Sure. I mean, yeah, like you said, it's pretty frustrating me having a game that I had in the Rose Bowl,

and then coming to the Cardin Bowl, just doing different things, chasing their scheme up against me. But I mean, like you said, whatever I could do to make the, I mean, help the team win. It's not really a big deal for me. As long as we win, that's all I really care about, and it got us to the National Championship. Thank you. It means a lot. We put a lot of work in this, this season, we have, how's we have lows, we have people cutting us out, but we hear now, we just ready to put on a show Monday. Oh yeah. Yeah.

First of all, the one that's not so much a championship because there's a lot. I mean, you see everything that he's been through this year, people saying he should be fine, and this is the third. But you see everything that he's been through this year. I mean, I've seen everything that he's been through this year, see everything, people saying about him on Twitter. I wasn't here, he first got the head, coach and job, but I know this year, for sure, we definitely got to win this for him. I mean, it's a lot, a lot of people in the league, I should say, I can't really say who, but I mean, you had guys like Odele, you had guys like Odele, you had Stefan Dix. It means a lot of Michael Thomas, Chris Carter, just a lot of, you know, guys that played in NFL and stuff like that, but yeah, really them guys for sure. Okay. No, just keep going. You got it, you've next up for sure.

Really, I really, really that for sure. Like a physical defense, like you said, like people say, like they like to play man, they're not changing their skin. So we're just ready for the challenge. Like you said, best defense, we probably go see all year and we just gotta be ready to go out there Monday and just put on the show. I'm excited for will him first coming here in Ohio State January our first workout we had together. Just everything that we did through the season. I mean, I'm just happy for him to be in this position right now, but we got to finish the job and that's the winning at the Oman Day. I mean, it's pretty funny.

Them saying that because I'm just only a freshman, but I mean, it's a blessing for sure people to even say that, but I got two, three more years left for Carlos. And I'm just focused on cars right now. I'm not really worried about the NFL right now. It's very special for me just being a freshman and playing the national stage. I appear for national titles, something that I dreamed of as a very young kid. I'm just happy to be here and I just can't wait to put on some Monday for you guys. All of the scenes we just sit on the bench and we just see him hit the quarterback the ball come out and we all just got up and just started jumping up and down.

We all decided happy for Jack and that moment and we just knew that that moment like, you know, let's we're going to the party for sure. Is that the end of the day? Me and so is a lot of me, you know, going from high school or winning three state championships, some of them are down a day, you know, coming to Ohio State, just appear for national title right now. Me just so that I've picked two great schools, but I'm happy to be here and I just can't wait to put on some Monday. The coolest person. I mean, you got a lot. I can't really say just a specific person. He got a lot of great guys re-challenging the league like Odell.

You had guys like Stefan Deeks. A lot of other players in the world just came to my mind, but really, really them two guys, we sure Odell and Stefan Deeks. You're looking at Notre Dame, but something like that, you got out of your mind and trying to attack and try to dominate it. Yeah. I mean, like they say, they play man, so I mean, I'm just ready for the challenge and just get ready to go out there Monday and just no putting us up. Thank you. The vice-geno had gave me. I said, just keep golf first. I know the reason why I'm here. Like he said, just keep golf first and just no keeping the main thing and the best corner I've faced this year.

I mean, I've faced a lot of great corners. I can't really say, but yeah, I've faced a great corner. I was here really put a name on it. My dream occasion is Teres and K-coats. How good are you? I say both respect and frustration as well. But I mean, I doubt they come out there and try to keep me and they say, stick it to what they've been doing all year. That's playing man covers, which is ready for the challenge.

Pretty good group. Christian Gary 29 is a great corner. 15, Lenard Moore. Two great guys are right there. Very physical, but you know, we all highest there received us, so we ready for the challenge. I say just no understanding the defense, understanding the game plan, understanding what Coach Kelly is trying to get done. I mean, just coming in, I feel I progress from my first game against Akron to now. I feel I got better each and every week. I mean, things slowed down a lot for me. But yeah, I really just know understanding the defense and understanding what they're trying to do to me for sure.

I'm two guys. Great part of the best we go see all year for sure. Two physical guys. But you know, we're ready for the challenge that they're coming with and that's the play man on man. You know, we ready to go on Monday. Yeah. I mean, the environment is pretty crazy. Seeing all these cameras. Something that I never thought I'd see them alive, but some blessings will show this to me in this position right now. I mean, we just had a prayer, prayer, prayer, prayer meeting and you know, we all, they all discuss the issues because they discuss issues. You know, which is one of the work.

I mean, not two and a half weeks we had off before Tennessee game and we just came out there on Tennessee game and we played with a trip on our trip on our shoulder. All throughout the playoffs, and we go continue to play with that trip on our shoulder in our national championship on Monday. Do you know how that very impactful? He had a very impact on my career, I should say, just going to his games. I was a very young kid, seven, eight years old. Him playing West Virginia and they played Clemson, Orange Bull, Donna Miami. I mean, just going there, seeing his games. Yeah, definitely on the player on that stage and I can't wait till I get to know that moment for sure. Who are you? Who are you? Of course, they're really just in his own little space. He's just walking around trying to get his mind right, trying to get his mind ready for the game.

But you know, he just gave everybody hype in the locker room and you know, just trying to get us ready to go to win the game. Yeah. Oh, yeah, for sure. Go play, man, he gets Ohio State receivers. I mean, just be ready because we definitely go come out there and give our best. I mean, they said not to change what they do. So we just ready for the challenge. Here I go. Just kind of looks like you've seen this kind of situation. Not a year later, definitely sometime in my career college, but not my first year in college, I should say. I mean, just to be able to be in this position right now, it's not a blessing. Just to be here for Miami to be here. I won't take it for granted. I'm ready to go out there and give him a round.

Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I was watching that game and it was a Georgia. Yeah, I was watching that game. I was pretty sick myself because I was actually committed at that time. So I mean, yeah, they left a bad testimony mouth, but I mean, we ready to go out there and Monday to redeem myself and just put a show Monday. I mean, I just laughed.

But you know, that's what they do. They're not going to change what they do just because we're a higher state. So we just got to go out there and put it on. Why not to play a man on man against us? So we just got to go out there and show them my day. So. He said again. My journey here at Ohio State, prepared me a lot for the National Championship. I mean, just going through everything that I've been through. My first guy here, all the Matt Jules, all the hard workouts that we had, all the hard practices. Just preparing all of us for this moment. And I'm just ready to go out there and give it up my all on Monday. Okay. We just squeezed this. One or nine.

200? He is big and strong. Yeah. That's pretty good. What's the winning? Yeah, that's great. Yeah. Pretty good. No problem. Yeah. And when I part a lot of the most is the one against Michigan State when I caught over two defenders on that side line.

Party Laughin or the one after that, I should say. Or you can go the one against Iowa. Party them three. Part of my best ones, for sure. I just will put in the ball in my area. And I just know how to make a play for them. Even though somebody was grabbing my face, I just know I still have to make a play because the ball touched my hand. So, I mean, just when the ball and the other thing, I have to make the play no matter how the ball comes at me. After a big game. I mean, they really feed us Chick-fil-A or piece after the game. So it's really either Chick-fil-A or piece. So yeah, probably Chick-fil-A. For sure.

I mean, it went pretty good. Everybody just speaking with their thing is going right in what they think is wrong. Which is a lot of the older guys, what's in their opinions on what we need to do to cut the get-as-a-team. But, you know, that me and Deftly helped us in a big way because it helped us on the field as well. Because we played our great football right now and we just got to tell you that on Monday. Yeah, Deftly got emotional. Can't really say what really was said because that's not players only and coaches only. But it would definitely some stuff said that people took... People took and it went with it and that's the reason we planned it. We're out with plan right now. Yeah, make help me a lot this year. Him being our older guy in the room. Me and Carl are in the end as well. And Brandon and all the guys in the other scene of the room as well.

Me just a great guy as well. It's very smart. I mean, make just been a big part of the reason that I'm having a season I'm having a look. Because he's been a big. You know, older guy been there. Been a lot of great guys in that room. Chris Aliveway, Gary Wilson, Marvin Harrison Jr. Jackson Smith and Jibba. So he's seeing all the Chris I've been through there. And me teaching us the right thing and the right way and in the buck out way for sure. And I was following with him a lot. Right. I was seeing him a lot. And I was seeing him a lot. And I was seeing him a lot. Did you feel upgraded? It's my first record. Sorry. No, I felt like I was upgraded. You know, right? I mean, some of my competitors got me different. Not me and I just feel like I had all the offers I think I would. You know what I mean? I would say I had to fuck down like a room website. No, it doesn't matter if you get here, you know, it's all the stuff I would write. What was it like to take that in the session? You know, I felt good. I was feeling an auto hard work and I do that screen. I got a teaching and coach. You gave me notice paid off. I didn't know this way. I was playing with a camera. They give me two deep as a true freshman.

I was late to do the knowledge and opportunities and have a bigger role this year. So what do you expect to go into a second? You know, I just worked to peak. You know, I mean, I see you know, you know, whatever. You have me saying this or whatever. You know, I'm just working just to peak. You know, work my tail off. You know, make a role for my session. I can treat this as a goal. I'm not. I got, I would say like I got a lot more aggressive. You know, I gave some weight now. I'm pushing 200 pounds now. You know, I'm not against Harvard. Coach Patricia, what have you, uh, the state of Canada? How has it been like, really? You know, he's a great guy. You know, I like him. You know, he's a great guy. He cares about his players. You know, I'm so football wise. He's a master. I know, he's a lover. Spectators football business. You know, in his time being in Atlanta, so I think it's going to be a good suit. Whether it's a starter or occasional piece, what's the effect you see from this day of the claim? And it's a special.

I expect you know, just to add value, you know, form a half of this team in the snake players. You feel a lot more, I feel this year. I feel like I feel like I'm in the last year. Oh yes, for sure. I feel like I'm starting to deem everything here. And I feel like I'm just trying to be a lot more on the last year. It's, you know, like I said, and I think it was my pleasure. What? I was going to say, you know, Ryan set up the beginning of the screen about starting the strategy way. Not letting too much of the shadow of the national team. How has the team really embraced that mindset and see competitive at that time? You know, you know, we have more ideas, you know, so far so, you know, we're trying to stay determined. And I know just trying to dominate. And we're not living in the past anymore. It's like everything happened. We're just trying to get a little. The coach has got to venture their head in the A and B rule. They're going to have to be a rule that we're going to hold in. Yeah, get some reps in another position. Well, obviously, you know, right now, playing Stony and Friessing, you just trying to, you know, know, craft myself and just, you know, make myself more versatile for this team. Where are I going to go? They get some more basketball.

That's kind of limiting his reps. Right, obviously, he's living in like a, like a cropped base in it. So, you know, obviously, we made this, you know, empty he, you know, a lot of this work. You know, I mean, skipping, skim better. Thank you. Appreciate you. You know, they're lying. So like, there's some stuff. At least we, they, you did over there in order to aim that we'll see if we're able to kind of implement something here. I'm sure some, maybe not others, depending on what our guys do best. Friessing, I'm not seeing it because it's like, it's a fresh start. I knew I said, eyes on them. And I think it's an opportunity to do this. I think it's an opportunity to be multiple and use him. And what he does best, you know, so that's the exciting thing. You know, when you really studied what coach Patricia has done in the past, is he likes to take like, okay, who are, like, who are our players? And then let's build it around those guys. And I think CJ has had a hell of a winner. I think he's one of those guys. So I'm excited to see how we get creative and use them to get to the sprint. That many, you see how to be like,

float is more of an edge defender. Kind of differently than you guys. I think, yeah, I think he has that, I think that's exactly what kind of like potential CJ has. It's the ability to, you know, get on the edge, move around. The nice thing about that is, is that you're not handicapped just with CJ doing one thing off the edge. You think you have the ability because he understands consensually zone drops, linebacker terminology, right? You can get really creative by using him. But I think he definitely needs to be utilized more as a just got to the heart of America. Go, go be destructive. See about me. I don't know. Find out on Monday. What about Matt? Is the leader of you guys this coach has had you? I see all the people, some guys and how are you seeing that? How do you feel about the higher? I'm out loud. I love the higher. I've had a lot of respect for coach Patricia. I've never since he worked me a marketing sound back here.

And what we were talking about that when he first was in the interview process, it's kind of how fast time goes. But I'm really excited just to continue to learn. Like I said, like there's some, it's funny because there's some terminology that when I was at Notre Dame, you can use and I can at least speak some of his language with what he's called things before. And you're trying to morph everything together right with these things that we've done. What he knows will do like it's a lot. But he's been incredible with. I think the staff he's very organized, he's detailed. You'll have constant clear communication. You know, and they're going to get together at this time of evening. Like you're just efficient in your role. And it's been a lot like when you're come from outside and you come back into it, and you have to try to catch them up on the recruiting board. It's it, you know, like you have a lot of these conversations. Okay, what are we looking for at these positions now? How do you see it? Because you don't under one coordinator, you might see a, the mic line back, it needs to be this. And then under this coordinator, well, I think the mic back needs to be this.

So you have to have those conversations at every position. And you just kind of keep going through. And I'm just excited to learn. I think the more systems, I mean, luck. Played the system here in college, played the system, understood Spagnolo, played the system, or Tim Walden, played the system under Greg Williams, that is talent, coach of Ralgold, and then Jim Null. Like every one of those, there's like different terminology for everything. So you're just, you're learning a different language, Colin Thain. You know what I mean? There's this concept. And I think it was kind of collect over time. What you think is really good stuff and how you do stuff that could be a little different. And I'm just really excited to learn from that. And it's kind of a success. He seemed very excited over there talking to me here. Yeah. Coach of college, whatever. So long. What's his personality like with you guys? Yeah. He's been great. I mean, his energy is incredible. He's very, he is. He's authentically excited to be back in college football. He could tell there's like a yearning to get back to like the while you got in the coaching.

Right? Is that impact young people? Is the impact teach the game of football? And so the few times he's been a fun, you know, kind of like talking to the guys. In a sense like he's excited to just teach ball. You know what I mean? And kind of ironically, like you know, similar to a lot of things that chips that last year, right? Yeah. Get back and you're like, man, I'm just excited to. And so he has that excitement. He's done a phenomenal job, I think, of getting to know the players. Just kind of like walking around versus like popping in, making sure that he's in front of them. And they get to know him and he gets to know them. And it's a lot that you can imagine when you come in and you have all these guys, right? And trying to learn all these guys, I'm learning recruiting, trying to learn to staff, I'm learning dynamics, like it's a lot, but he's handled it really well. You know, he's an old school ball coach, he's a grinder. So he's really good job. James, son, he's probably not going to need to do much this spring. How much more can you get done with the young guy? Let's tell him that. So he's got to do a lot. But in terms of Ryan DeRity said, you know, 50%, 75% or whatever.

How much more can you get done with the young guys when they're not worried too much about the senior? Yeah, I think, I mean, you're always just looking for competition, especially like a spring ball. That's what it's all about, right? You're trying to have it so cliche, but it's true. Like the iron sharpens, iron mentality of you want your room to be super competitive to where, hey, the guy in front of me makes a play. My next set of four plays I go out there. I have the point, right? And it's a constant driving of the room forward. So, yeah, son, he gets 50 or how many reps, you know, reps off 50% where the coach said that means more opportunity for somebody else to play, right? So that need more for our values that scheme flexibility with our value. We're going to pay pierce around. We set TJ Riley. You like all these guys stove. We're all going to get more reps. I think it's great. So we got to do it at this point in the season. But I think, you know, yes, there's still stuff that I think they're all about sunny is that he's going to be.

Clawed to try to get those reps because he's a true pro. And that's been the most enjoyable thing about working with him is like. You get a kid who's played safety his whole life comes to the back. Or he just wants to learn the why behind everything. And, you know, very similar in the fact of Cody, like, would you have guys where that easy to work with? You're not trying to like not worried about texting anybody in our room about coming over and trying to learn all. You know what I mean? Like, were you at, you know, like, their obsessed with the game football. They're always around when they're at class. So it's like, it makes it really easy as a coach because they're passionate for the game. So strong. You mentioned you see today in terms of the higher with the map. Just looking sunny, like what do you envision more with him with all of that stuff? I think, I think we just have a lot of guys with a lot of links. It's about sunny styles long run or velvete long run. It's crazy because you see sunny. You're like, okay, this guy.

I wish I was built like that when I played and then you see our bell stand next to sunny. You're like, those are those, you know what I mean? And then you look across the room like as the room warms up, you're like holy smokes. We just have a bunch of guys and that's a lot of credit to make. Coach made it as a phenomenal job. I was just talking to Burma about it like to see even our media guys what they looked like when they showed up. They're like the bowl of the whole natty run and they're kind of hanging out during practice. And we see the high school bodies to see what they look like today before they go away. And like the shoulders are all like everything is just different. And they've been indoctrinated into the brotherhood. So I think you know there's just a lot to work with. So what he's really good at right is like he's talked about it. One year he has junior say, oh, we'll get us Mike Vrable, you know Roosevelt Colvin and those guys.

And a couple of years later he has Brandon spikes. So he's like, okay, I'm just about his blitz brand at the middle all the time. So he's 260 pounds and beast. He always says he was my best nose guard. From Mike backer, right? And then the year after that he gets you know got Jamie Collins and Dante high talent. So now we can do a lot of stuff, right? So they're just like, hey, this is what we're doing. We got plenty of people and say, hey, here's what we got. Let's utilize it. So that's what strength will be. Wall going to lab and figure out what that means. I'm sure through spring ball, there'll be like, hey, here's what we do really well as a unit. This unit is going to be different, right? I mean, you know, there's a lot of production. So you know, it will be different. So you kind of got to reform your own identity and you're re-hearned that silver bullet big name and mantra. How many other guys can look at our bell? It seems like he's on a very good track. Is that it? What's his ceiling? It's just a lot of bell. It's just a lot. Right now he's locked in. He's done a great job becoming a leader.

Coming out of his shell. I think I think for the belly, it's all about his sister's seed. Just preparation and I'm proud of our bell. You know, he's through the season. You got way better at. You know, a lot of it's little things. Just note taking stuff. Like sometimes these kids are always on their phones and stuff, not like in meeting rooms or anything like that, but just naturally. So like to get out of pen and paper and like. You hear things in the middle. Yeah, I got it. What you do until your dog tired and then you forget. You know what I mean? But when you really understand it, you know what I mean? Like go play faster. You got so much better through the year. Just a lot of that's because of Cody, like becoming a pro. And then now it's like Sonny's Paul and have a lot. He's pulling table on the paint. He's pulling T.J. and Riley and Eli. So I didn't stole it. So I kind of love the competition right now. The way it's made up. Yeah, that was a great pathway. How many different guys do you feel like can be in that Mike's spot? Three. Obviously losing Cody and now having that. I think that's something that's fluid as we kind of go.

Because you know week one, Sonny actually started at Mike for us. And Sonny smart enough to play a mall. Our bell is smart of the play a mall. Pain pierce the smart of the play a mall. And that's also like how did you like depends on what what scheme you're running. Where they how do they being utilized as well? You know what I mean? So you say my like my backer, you know, whether it's Tommy I could very grow up. I'm two different people and Cody's different from those two. So I challenged to like a lot of the guys that come in. It's just got the other both. The more you understand about the scheme in general, the faster you will play. You know what I mean? Like if I just sit here and I say, Hey, I got a lot of Mike. My drop is this and that's all I need to know. Like well, no, football happens so fast and all the shifts and motions that like. If you're going to play a lot of games, you're going to have to be like, if you're out there just playing and you're waiting for a call. And you're reacting like you're so worried about what's going on on your side of the ball.

You don't even recognize that the offense is telling you something's what they're doing. So. If I'm out there and also I'm not getting a call, I know what the call should be. It's like, Hey, are we playing? You know, let's go. Now listen, you get it. You can look. I can see. Okay. Here's what the tight ends doing. That's what the backs doing. Here's what plays are coming. If you just lie up and play a spare pass every time. Like you know, stand a chance. You got to eliminate plays in your mind by seeing what the offense is doing. Like they tell you a story every time they're not. They just window dressing. People motion to share. They're trying to do man's own indicators and they're trying to make sure that. They're getting the same formation. They're on the same place, but they just shift the people and then they motion. They do. And they don't want you to recognize. So for always worried about what work you don't mean. So the more you know, fast you can play. You're not sitting there thinking, Oh, what do I have for you? You're reacting. So I know you have so much. I challenge the guys like. There's always a no both. So I think a lot of just beyond. On the depth of sure guys get you know, if Sunnies only doing 50 to 75% of the plays. And probably more guys get more will reps than they had because we need. More will bodies is that's technically where Sunnies started.

But. Rotate them through. Let the production kind of show what it does. And. Think sometimes you know, you'll live with some mistakes just from. Did a news spot but you'll be able to judge to like who's actually. Getting the book. You know, I mean, who's actually studying. How much of a break have you seen from Sunnies this time of year ago? Through the national championship game. And then what's next? Man, I mean. Definitely. I know I know. I know Sunnies big goals and should. I do as well for him. To see how far he's come. You know, first thing kind of stands out. It's just like his. His footwork has gotten so much better. You know, when you're in the middle of the game. You know, you're so much better. You know, when you're in the boxes and linebacker, you got to be able to. Remember Luke thickly said all the time and you got to be slow until it's time to be fast. And when you're twitchy like he is. A lot of times you know, when you're about safety or you're used to pulling the trigger and rolling. You got to learn how to shuffle and not cross over. And he got so much better as a year or nine.

Think a lot of people question whether he'd be able to hold up his cowly wise and you know, he was. He was great. You know, he's the season guy. He's really good with his hands. He's a really natural ability to snag. We'll keep challenging him. I think he should be a dominant guy in coverage. He needs to be a guy that we can put on a tight end and be like, he's not going to be in catch on the ball. You know, me because he has that athleticism. I think we need to challenge him there. Challenge him. I think everything is just. This is not just sunny. It's everybody's urgency in zone coverage. I mean, the urgency with you have to break on the football to close that space. Not in the ball carrier have so much space on you to cut making miss is critical. I think sometimes he's he can be so athletic that you know, you can be the way some stuff. And he knows anything that I'm saying right now here. He knows. So the best part is a lot of times like he'll come to me before film and already said, man coach on that play. I should have you know what I mean? Like he knows. And the best part is that he's humble enough. Our whole room is that they just want to be they want to be pushed and they want to be coached.

And so the big heck of a loss could be asked for. Right? Like, how is that? What do you need for me? Just keep making sure like you're pushing it. You don't want to settle. Let me settle. So he's probably the best in the room with that. You look at sunny and our ball. It's kind of your top of the skies right now. Yeah, I mean, I think going into it, you know, I think it's just accomplished the plan and whatever play was called, whatever maybe just go out there and execute it. One thing we appreciate is execution is really the motive. You know, I didn't mean to call it, but as long as everybody's mindset is, has one mentality, which is just go get it and you know, make sure there's no yard gain. I think that changes the mindset of everybody on the civil bull of defense. Did they feel like big changes to you all as they were ongoing? I mean, I first like, you know, it was a tough loss. So, you know, I think it felt like everything was big. But then when you kind of just take your time to look at everything and analyze everything, it was just like, man, we just, we just need to keep everything simple.

Make everything and just, just about us and, you know, not like feel like we're, you know, making everything about them. It's, you know, we can dictate what they do. And I think that was the mindset. Did it make Letterman Raw? Yeah. JT, I know you get to watch a little bit of video of Caleb and Lathen and Jordan. What stands out about that group from your vantage point? Oh, they're respected. They're relentless, man. I mean, Lathen, Caleb, and I mean, everybody in that BIA core, yes, they can cover, but you know, when it's time to, you know, stop the round, they'll come down 12 yards out. However, however far off the front line, scribbling coming, you know, throw the nose in there and I respect them for that. Because, you know, there's going to be times when we need them to make them tackles and I mean, they're displaying it this whole season. Yeah, how critical are they in a game of this magnitude? Obviously, everybody's critical, but you're going to mean that sort of the last line of defense, but sometimes the last line of defense is in the middle of it. Yeah. I mean, they play a huge role. I mean, like you said, it takes everybody from the front four. It's like a check reaction. The front four don't do their job. Then, you know, falls, you know, the back end. So we off to work as a collective unit.

And I think there's a reason that there's 11 of us out there. And you know, it's crazy if one person is doing their job, then, you know, something can go wrong. But if we just all continue to stay, communication with one another, continue to just lay each other. You know, we have each other's backs and just trust one another. And man, I think that that that performance is going to be off the charts. Well, for the right. Hell yeah. Stits. WSYF. DT, how would you describe the mentality of the defense right now getting this opportunity for Greenhouse and Jordan? Yeah, hungry and thankful. I mean, we know how the last last time when, you know, we had a chip on our shoulder. I mean, we were riding high before that game and we took that loss and we came back, had to make a couple changes. But I think we understand what, you know, everything's at stake right now. You know, just fighting to where another house, dangerous for the next game. That's what's on stake. And just to be able to represent this state and this team. I mean, we understand what's on the line. And, you know, we're just hungry and blessed that we get this opportunity playing the Rose Bowl. Right behind your Adam King, WVNS. What do you remember most about walking off the field in Eugene?

What was kind of going through your mind in that moment? I mean, there is a... I don't think anybody imagined it. Imagine us losing. I didn't, that's for sure. And I think after that it was kind of head deep. But understanding that, man, we still, there's still a lot of ball left to be played. I mean, you can let it sting for a little bit, but, you know, if you let it carry over too long, then, you know, there it goes. There goes your whole season by. I think we did a great job of just understanding, coming together in this room right here. Not being afraid to display or hold accountability from one another. And, you know, as that happened, we came back regrouped and, you know, we're just going right now. And I'm just blessed for those specific moments, you know, losing. I mean, no one wants to lose, but the testimonies and the things you're taught within those little situations speaks of all of you. After all of our linemen are all.

Jay, what did you see in front of King Gala the last couple of weeks? Was there like a push from him and then there were many conversations with him, and we can see like he's playing since the best of all. Yeah, I mean, that's my boy. He's in the R2X club too, but, you know, Kiyada, I mean, every time his numbers call, he goes out there and makes the most of it, no matter where we add in the game. And he goes out there, he's just hungry. He wants to go make plays and, you know, we see it in practice. So it's not surprising to us. Bill, we're a bit away from this. Dylan gave us obviously very elusive and he's not very tall. How important it could be to just kind of stay in your past rush lanes and neglect a lot of balls and kind of make a difference that way? Yeah, I think it just comes out being disciplined. No one who you're playing against, like you said, he's a, he's sure but he's very elusive. I mean, he can, he is making throws. I mean, he can't out the parking do everything. So I think for us, we just have to discipline him and just continue to just meet with Coach Jay, meet with the coach knows and understand how we can just eliminate that.

One question about you and Jack. I mean, your personality seems to be a little different. You're more on the quiet side. He's, he's not. Yeah. I love it. You've played together four years, both five tour guys kind of describe your relationship with him, friendship with him. Yeah. Just kind of how you complement each other. Man, that's my brother. Like he said, we're different but very alike. I think outside, like you said, he's louder and quiet. But, you know, once we're on that field, we're like the same person. We'll do anything for this team. You know, we'll die for our players and we'll give everything we got. We'll have to move together for four years, correct? Yeah. Fall camps. Every room. Yeah. Sometimes go over there. So over there. There's the neat one. Who's the messy one? We have our share of days when we, when I'm neat, he's neat or you know, we might both be messy, but we do a good job. Yeah. I probably have a better coach, Jack though. Tony Gertman, like I have. When you're playing a team for the second time, and that was almost a season to go by now, how much of, are you at square one with the scouting preparation or how much do you take in that game?

How much do you avoid taking so that you don't have any preconceived notions of what you're going up against offense on the offense blind? I say it's pretty 50-50. I mean, that game, like you said, it was a while ago, but at the same time they elevated as a team. So did we. So we understand that they had, they made some changes for sure. You know, there's a certain tendency we can take back from that game, but we also understand that they went on a little run after that, and we can see that they elevated as an offense. So we just got to continue to watch those games, dissect other games and just continue to see what stands out and what they changed from the past game. We got a couple calls on Zoom that will wrap up with, first we have Nick Hamilton from Nightcast Media. Nick? I just wanted to ask you basically about the synergy of this defense and how you guys were able to not only celebrate the triumphs but get through the adversity, be able to be this top notch defense that you are in college football today.

Here, Pete, the question one more time. One more time. One of the answers about the synergy you are able to develop over course of the season, obviously celebrating the triumphs, but also getting through the adversity to where you are all the top notch defense that you are today. Yeah, I mean, like you said, we went through a lot of trials to trials, but there's also, there's a lot of things we can take away from all the wins and losses, and from those wins we understood that, hey, we can be the best defense of the country, and from those losses we understand that there's still things that need be fixed. And I think when you take all that in at once, they come down to the common goal or the common target, which is you can, there's always learning points everywhere. And depending how we dissect those games or how we just continue to come as one and elevate, you know, we continue to just collect all those learning points and just continue to grow from them. And one final question, Joey Coffin, Columbus Dispatch, Joey. JT, what have you guys done better in the, especially in the Tennessee game and just late in the season, you think about turning some of the pressures that you've got on a quarterbacks and the sacks and getting a home in some of those situations.

Yeah, I think it was more just understanding the defense as a whole, understanding everybody's job. The thing is, as the season went on, we had to understand that, you know, we have to know what's going on in the backhand, we have to know what's going on with the linebacker crew to understand what plays we have room of freedom. And I think once we understood that and got a better understanding of everybody's job, I mean, it showed this play because, you know, everybody knows what we're doing. It's not like the linebacker know what they're doing. The corners and B.I. they know only their job. I think we all know each other's job and we continue to ask each other questions on, you know, if they're listening to how they can get to the quarterback and, you know, if I'm dropping the play quarterback spot, I can ask Cody on how to open field tackle. So, you know, we just, we just kind of lean on each other's understanding because, you know, like I said, like Denzel knows how to play corner better than I know how to play corner. So, you know, he has more, more wisdom at that position than I do. JT, thank you very much. Thank you. Thanks, man.

More and more. Can health similar will you role be in terms of playing with what you did in Denver? I don't know that yet. I kind of just mentioned previously. I don't know my role. I don't know the engine out yet. So, once we'll get, you know, through the protocols in NFOPA, we'll talk about, you know, the schemes and everything. Right? So, welcome. When you were in Denver in the three, four, where did you find yourself most comfortable, most effective in my role? I played a lot of different positions in Denver. I mean, earlier in my year, I played zero. I played three, two, one. I mean, I definitely more comfortable in a shaded position, mainly being a three technique and five technique. That's where I find myself to be more comfortable, whether I'm standing up or I'm not, or there's runner or pass. Those things to be my best, my best fits. And what is your impression of peak carols defense and whole environment and Seattle from afar? From afar, it seems like he holds in on a defense a lot. I can't really say too much about that yet.

I don't know. I know peak carols very little. So, I'm just trying to figure out more and I'll give you a better answer later. What's the reputation around the league? Hard knows, hard hat type of team. Definitely on a little more lack side as opposed to being a stuck up or military style. Which is definitely good because this program is one of a lot of football games. They've been super successful for many years. As long as I've been alive and as long as I've been watching football and definitely this has been a good program. Peak carols have been a hell of a coach for a long time. I remember you and back in his college days. So, I'm looking forward to experiencing that. Tell him, well, I know you said you don't know yet what your role can be. But what kind of player are you that you don't understand who haven't watched the coming of them? What kind of player is he has to get? Definitely a high motor. Definitely not a one-trip party type of player. I like to attack. No, whether it's first or first to do fourth now. I like to attack. I'm always trying to apply pressure.

I'm definitely just a high motor guy. My opinion. Maybe. Are they already understing for me? Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. Yeah, this is not a team that really makes big splash sign-in in brand new seed. Did you think going into it that Seattle would be in play? No, not at all. It's kind of like being a kid at the candy store. You know, got a whole bunch of different options coming at you. You're hearing a whole bunch of different crazy things. And you only get to choose one. And this is the place that we both chose each other. I mean, I'm loving to see how this is so far. I like these colors. What, why did you have to do in Seattle to see some seeds in there? Not much. Just kind of just drive around the city exploring. Get down to the market a little bit. I want to get on the Ferris wheel. Do some more like touristy type things, you know. I'm new to the city and I got a lot to learn about city. Larry. Yeah, there's been a lot of comparisons that you did Michael Bennett.

I wonder if you know Michael Bennett at all. I know Michael Burr. Then it like nothing. I don't know nothing about it, but besides his style of play. But I'm honored to be considered in the same conversation as him in a style of play. He's a Hall of Fame type of deep lime. I've known about this. I was a kid. I mean, last time he played here, I was in high school. So, you know, it's cool. It kind of came full circle a little bit watching him on TV. And now I'm being kind of compared to him in a way. You know, I mean, I'm not touching the surface of Michael Bennett. You know, he's a Hall of Famer. And I'm not there yet. So, you know, I just got to keep doing my due diligence to be a better player. Call him in. Hey, Dream on. Welcome to Seattle. I'm going to get to play several seasons for Vic Fangio in the three four style defense. And Seattle's playing a similar system now to back to last year. I have a defensive line. And what do you think is most important to be successful in that system? Maybe fundamentals or just playing style to be successful? Just from what I learned, being gap sound and being patient has always been the biggest thing.

And that's how we've been successful when I was in Denver. Just kind of like relying on each other. I know that sounds kind of cliche, but like this kind of like the. The realm of being in three four defense. You got to really really rely on the guys behind you and the guys on side of you to really make their. To do their job to make your job easier. Bob. Yeah, Dream. You're a, you're going to have a day by now because you didn't start playing football to you or junior in high school. You know, why did you play basketball so then? That's just what made you know, I guess it's like you go to play football and then with that, I've heard you say that all the time you go away from basketball? No, no, I've always loved football first. It was just kind of just time to play it out. You know, I love to hoop, but you know football was definitely about calling and giving I was 265 pound. Power forward and I was like six, three, three, three, so you know, I kind of chose to route that guy gave me. And now I'm not six eight. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah. I'm looking at the other things that you just mentioned in the job play. And can you just talk a little bit about that? And that alone is, I think the same as you said, you know, first time you counted out. And you just think, do you like what it's more like? Just for a standpoint, like I always get like over over shadowed over look, whether it's a, and something, you know, I was saying like. I feel like I do a lot more than what can be seen by the eyes of the inexperienced, you know, scout. And I do a lot of different dynamic things that help make place for others, you know. I'm definitely an active player. I'm always doing something whether in a run or pass game. So, you know, I think that goes on notice sometimes. And I'm looking forward to playing people on notice. Brady? What do you like to do outside of football? What is for me, your hobby? I'm definitely, I'm again to a lot of chess lately. So, just to expand my brain. I try to get into reading, but if it's not supported later, I really not interested in reading that much.

But mainly just video gaming in chess. And then when we write and say your name, do you prefer Drainmont? I mean, you can say Drainmont Jones, I mean, but like just, I'm like personally just call me Drain, because it's easy because people like to f my name a lot, like a lot. And they call me Drainmont Day. I don't know why you put a Drainmont Day in my name or Drainmont T, whatever you want to say. I was going to go buy Drain to keep it simple. Thank you. Michael Sean. Hey Drain, what specifically are you bringing to the CMAR as a past question? The new era of the past question. You know, someone was on the little lighter side of the average through technique and bringing that explosiveness, that quickness. It was great with their hands. Someone was very extensible. And someone was a go getter when it comes to the run-and-passing. Appreciate it. Thank you. John Boyle. Yes. Drain Jones, I just said after the trade, or after the signing, that you actually got to date, they wanted them to trade last year. And I still have two trades that Denver said no.

That's the time you were aware of at all. Yeah, I was aware. I mean, like, shit. They'd be flattered if they wanted to be even like that. Yeah, I am flattered. I mean, they should have just traded me from the jump. But it was cool to, I guess, a kind of came full circle for Seattle a little bit. I was included into the trade and Denver said no. And then, Denver kind of, I don't want to say that word, but Denver didn't pay my part respect. So I'm here because they respect me from the jump. Hi, anything else, guys? Thank you. Thank you. Everything's new and we're all learning. So it's been really good. How much were you talking to Kay as you got here and kind of going through that first year? Obviously, you're doing his own thing, but just what this is all like? Yeah, I think having him go through the whole process has been a big thing. You know, kind of having him in my corner just to talk to you or call him whenever I need. We still talk a lot. I have some questions, whenever.

So a lot of first-guy hearings, you still hear no training, everything, but it's in the NFL. So it's been like, I haven't went ever since. What's it like watching you now in the NFL with the Texans? You guys not see you know pretty well doing, and living out his dream. Yeah, no, it's been a tough and super happy for him. He's down there in Houston, you know, CJ and everything. He really likes it. So I'm excited to see what he does this next coming year. Just how different your career will be? You get a college student, you get a couple of all of that in all of the second. But just how different is he still in the NFL? Yeah, I can think you kind of realize that you know this is your life. You know, you got to come in here, play a second, how you stayed, play with the best ever soon day. You know, you got the time in, you know, you got to make sacrifices. You know what you want to get out of it in the end. You know, a long fight, you know, school just you know, live on your own. And you know, it's good for you to do a lot.

And you know, as you get it, it just makes you better overall. Do you graduate from here? What do you do? You have got like Riley and he's going to enter you. I mean, what does it mean guys? What do you know, I was like, what do you think that rolled out? You have got to, what kind of players and players you don't even have to do off the game. You grow, you know, that's what I mean. Yeah, I mean, just kind of, you know, just shown the way around this building. You know, just, you know, how, how we do it here at the high stage, how we operate. You know, they, you know, I think all three young guys coming in have done a great job. You know, they've, you know, great work ethic. You know, I think, you know, for me, you know, the offseason, it was more like a lead by example. Kind of thing. And springing a little bit of, you know, vocal leadership in there as well. But, you know, just kind of working with them and, you know, kind of showing them how, you know, build a guy and how we do things in the room that's, you know, definitely carried on to that. Being a part of that championship round last year, I guess what did you learn from that one thing went on? You guys went on and I guess, what do you learn about like what do things went on?

This is the second level. I would just say, you know, staying together, you know, our biggest thing was each week was just trying to keep that group together each week. And, you know, I think last year we had such a strong bond together, you know, with all the guys. I think that was really the motivation, you know, just staying together and like a band of brothers. James has popped down the past. I didn't have the exciting RL, you know, kind of made that two deep, but James has popped the past on the back of the group. You're playing well, you're making plays consistently in practice. You're going to play playing well. You're going to be seeing things going on, how are you pressing this set that approach? You're not at the long, just guys in front of you, so you're making a play. You're going to be able to get a little bit of a job. I mean, I think, you know, just starts with, you know, coming out to practice every day, you know, put your head down, just, you know, making sure you're going hard, ever should go play, you know, knowing what you're doing, you know, so you can build that trust. But I think, you know, just having the guys around, letting it like sunny, RL, Peyton, you know, you know, who's, you know, been in there, you know, playing in games, everything like that.

You know, to lean on and ask some questions and stuff, so you're ready. Where you said that was like, what's the problem? I'm like 227. What's the goal for the board and how to roll? It's still 225 right now, I think, of a bubble to like 238. So, getting a little more. Great, that's a great question. So, I want that to be a little sense of urgency to part of that 2D to provide depth, or maybe more than that, this season. How can you go into your 2D? Yeah, I mean, I think all right now, kind of focus on just getting better or someday. I think that's kind of what it springs for, is, you know, individually just, you know, continue to perfect your craft every single day. Before that's a meeting, or you know, scheme or whatever, maybe. But, uh, well, yeah, I mean, I think that's, you know, definitely, you know, something in my head, you know, obviously, you know, came here to play. So, I don't think that's definitely going to be a big thing. I think just saying I had the chance and getting past those third downs, converting on those third downs, I mean, that's what we got to be better at.

Um, at the end of the day, we got to put them in the zone. We're not doing that, we're not doing our job. So, are you guys creating more explosive plays? That's an offence, right? I think, uh, you stick with it. Um, you know, the explosive plays are going to come, and now we've got to trust that, and they'll be there for us for sure. So, for instance, it's been here for, uh, high-zanned loads over the many, many years. He's been with this program now. What sort of his message to your group right now? And when you're turning to him? What is he saying, as far as how to get through this? Yeah, so I think it's just really just coming in and attacking every day as you would, um, regardless, and, uh, you know, staying, staying even, even through hardship, and attacking it, attacking it the same way every day. really all you can do and you just get a little better every day and see where it takes you. Based on the way things are already we're setting up but then also the way Jason Simmons was calling the game on Saturdays seem like tight ends are going to be a big part of this as you guys are trying to pull out and what role do you think you guys are going

to have in trying to get this offense? Yeah, I think we I think the role is always try to help the offense move the ball and whether they were called upon to do that in the past game or the run game where he's got to step up and do our job at a high level and whatever you ask from us we just got to do it at high level and let the offense go. You're some of the leaders on the offense. Some of the leaders have to say Gus is a big leader. I mean he's been doing it for a while and I and it's someone that everyone trust is going to do his job at a high level and I think we have Hudson's a good leader too as well. Obviously it's a quarterback so he takes on that leadership role and I think we just have a good amount of leaders throughout the offense. We were told George might be fairly close to getting back what we mean to get him back in the mix with the tight ends. Yeah, it'd be great. I mean George is a great athlete so having him out there can only help. You know we're really excited about him and what you can do on the field so it'd be great.

They don't care about that up here so you know it's developing yourself to have a great mindset early. You know having that grown man mindset at 18 years old is really important because like the period they don't really care about feelings. So it's about just coming up here being a man that you think you are, having to go out there and prove it. David, what's been the easiest thing and the most difficult thing about your transition years so far? The easiest thing I would say, I mean it's really not that easy about this. You know coming to a top program like this especially coming off from national championship is really not that easy. You know they're pushing for the same thing and they trying to go back and back. So I mean we just got to come up here, we got to step up. But the hardest thing I would say you know just having to grow up, you know going from high school where I've been the man there for three years so I mean coming up here where you started the bottom again. So I mean I told my parents this all the time like I think my history is repeating itself because when I went into high school, high school I went to her part house so I was at the bottom there and had to work my way up and I feel like that's your repeating self

here. And I met the bottom here, you know I put myself at the bottom so I have to work my way up to the top and so you know just going to get these guys there competing every day. You're not going to get the day off where you know she was just coming out here just to be essence. So I mean you got to be a piece of cute all the time. When you see what a guy like Jay, sorry, David keeps getting a shit. When you see what a guy like Jay, Jay did last year coming in here playing immediately is that inspire you to want to be able to do the same thing as a freshman? I mean definitely, you know just what he did last year is a true freshman. You know him being able to play an impact between like that. Obviously I want that for myself. So you know I'm going to push myself to that limit. You know try to be on the field here when that's my plan. That's the biggest reason I came here because I have an opportunity to play here one. So me having that opportunity is good and you know I'm going to always come out here and compete. Like I said, I'm putting myself at the bottom so I'm working. I'm going to work every day like I'm at the bottom and I got to get to the top. How do you feel like it's going to take for you to get from the bottom of the clock? You know just discipline. They're big on discipline here and you know competitive acting.

So it's just staying consistent every day. Just doing the right. Having little to none, mental errors. That's going to give me on the field. And you know I do what I'm supposed to do that's going to give me on the field. Along those lines. How do you manage those expectations for people who think that you should be playing week one when the season comes around? How do you manage people? You know I don't really let it get to my head because you know like I'm here. I got dudes in the room that are like IGB. You know he's three or three or start I got your main personal American. You know he's going to play this year too. So I can't let what people say on the net you know get to me because you know anybody can say oh he's going to play this year but you know I actually got to prove it. So I just got to come out here you know work and you know I'm in that spot. What's your most important career learning so far in your three months here? Competing every day. That's the biggest thing. Having to compete. You know these guys are a period they take winning and losing to heart. So you know my first my first week up here when we did our competitions you know I was winning.

Then I actually I got that first loss on my belt and you know it kind of opened my eyes like these guys take it hard. When they lose they don't like it. So you know I kind of got that now where I don't like losing. You had the opportunity to be around the team for that you know CFP Ron. What did you learn from just those few weeks seeing this team make that run? You know being real tight with your brothers you know they're real tight you know they push each other you know it's a real brotherhood. They don't let nobody down they always got each other back. So I mean it's a new team now so you know we got to build that chemistry with each other you know just just get tight. And I feel like when I was there for that player I've run and I practice when they were at the national championship you know I just got to watch you know how guys are you know real locked in. They're close with each other they're not letting nobody slack off and you know I feel like we had the opportunity to do that with this team now. How did you handle Luke? You handle that first loss? That first loss you know it kind of got to me it was the IGB you know he you know he let me hear. So after that loss I was like nah I can't let this happen anymore because it's like now it's not high school where you used 17, 16 years old and if you lose you lose appearance.

If you lose a coach and see that so and they go see how you respond to it so I feel like I had a hacker you know open my eyes I had to go and lock them like yeah I can't let this happen anymore you know. So I got to go up and you know these guys are counting on me too so it's really important that I don't lose. If you haven't described yourself as a competitor. How would you do that? I'm a great competitor you know I like winning who doesn't like winning. So I mean winning is it's in my blood you know my parents taught me that at a young age you know going after competing for anything that you want and I feel like if you can go after a compete for you know it's yours. And if you compete for it all the time who don't take it from me. So I mean I'm a good competitor I'm always going to go after and try to take what's mine if it's out there then anybody can have it and I'm going to be the winner. There's some role lockers in your room obviously you would talk to her what would your natural preference be. I mean it can come out on you know but I don't really I really know my game to the talking for this part but you know if it gets there it gets to that point where yeah I can bring it out because you know regardless I'm not just going to let nobody just come out here and just you know catch balls on me.

So if I'm having a good day when I'm consistently getting TVU's yeah I'm going to talk but you know being in that room you kind of got to talk you know the Jermaine you got IGB you know those real talkers in that room. It kind of makes you want to bring it out and you know when we bring that out they just bring it to energy out and hold defense and when you got the whole defense clicking I mean you can see you can see what happened. Does anyone want to talk about competition in your app? It was during the winter we were doing you know just stuff on the field we was just just having the time of the field just a lot of competitions. So I mean he just kind of it was a day where you know they had us going up against just the freshmen and then they kind of threw us in there and fired against the other guys so we had to you know we had to wake up and you know we all kind of lost and we all kind of like we all kind of can to get that the freshman group like what are we going to do about this because you know some of their kind of mess to just step up in those roles. Yeah definitely definitely definitely my work in college moments you know you know just just showing that you know it's real now a metal high up state.

I'm not in Houston Texas and more in my school far from my family you know I got to wake up I got a grow I got a mature fast and you know I just got to get ready for the next level. You've mentioned high school a couple times how did you know grow it up there in Texas playing at that level how do you feel like that help you prepare for our state. I feel like you prepare good you know I feel like I want to power out to Texas we obviously ran the Houston area you know we've been running the Houston area for a long time now and I feel like you know we're a real college program. We live just like these guys who do the same lifts you know the level of ball I played the highest level ball in Texas 6A you know we're going against guys like Duncan Bell no crowd those those top schools you know receiving the Korean where I go against him I want to get some three times in my career. So I mean those that really prepared me for this level you know coming in like okay this is not where it's a little school where oh they don't believe that I can come here and make an impact. I can't from big school so they're counting me to make an impact because you know I think I mean everybody would say Texas one of the highest football highest played balls in the country you know it goes us floated in the probably Georgia so I mean they're counting me to be ready and that level ball prepared me real well.

How do you do against the Korean you know it was it was when when lose when lose you know I went some he lose some so I mean it's it's just it's just getting better on sharpen higher because you know he's the top receiver obviously in our class you know I feel like he's the top receiver obviously in our class you know I feel like he's the top receiver. You know I feel like he's gonna have a good impact at Oregon so I mean it's just it's just just just what's going to happen next. Looking forward to seeing him again? Yeah definitely definitely I know I plan on planning against him. We don't we want to see him this year hopefully we see him in the big ten championships so you know I want I want I want to rematch him. W you committed super early in the process six months after that you shut things down when quite frankly someone of your caliber didn't have to do that you could have you seeing kids play the game a little bit longer than that but you chose to not do that just kind of lock it here. Why you know because this was this was this was what I felt this is home you know I didn't really feel like you know standing Texas was a good thing for me. I didn't I didn't feel like that was home for me. Up here I just like it was home you know because of all because they you know they're making it you know making me feel important up here and then you know I you can ask because what how many times I came up here.

Throughout my high school career I came up with 13 times so it got to the point where I was knowing guys on the team I had the numbers just like that knocked him up here you know I don't got always be with the coaches I can go to some of the guys on the team so it's just just me you know knowing what I want to put in my college ball at you know knowing where I felt like it was home and then you know there's also my parents to know my mom being you know feeling safe that you know I'm up here you know I'm in the business and not having to worry about me when she goes to sit. I did practice he had for you and I did see the other guys who just said. Coach Hardman in the room coach Jordan step up and he helped us out everything he's a big help and I just like make sure we stand time and stuff. We're just talking about stepping into a big hole in the slide. How much do you watch I like that every day trying to take things whether it's preparation stuffy those on the field just learning from a guy like that. Yeah every time I watch him I watch him so I just thought to take some of this game I had it to my and Bryson largest to take some of this all the receivers.

Yeah they always help me out and I need to go. Is what's in life walking into this room specifically and I'm tired of staying with all the history of the majority of the slide. I mean you know what it means to be a part of this world. What's that? It's a big step. It definitely holds a lot like a shoulder so you got to get a big quick. It's definitely a big dream for my life. It's never been to a lot of blessed to be here. You won that. Yeah that's why you come. That's why you come. That's why you come. What kind of advice you've got from some of the workers that has already even before spring roll starting to talk to the Mecca. Some of those guys just want to. Like try not to take everything personally. Like I'll say like when you know time will come we will make a comment saying make that play. And I'll be looking forward to that any day and staying up late but because that's going to get you to find your life. And find your name. Yeah like that. Yeah like that. As you got back on the line you was a guy right away.

It's last two years to really get this out of you. How much is patient to require me? Obviously you've got to get off the field. But how much is patient to have important to have? I'm not everybody has the same amount. So some people always have a living term but you just got me a name. I can say I'm a native tongue. You just got me that play. And it's going to go on from here. Awesome. Thank you. I'm going to say it's actually a bit difficult. I've never seen it just getting off of it from here. My lifetime is just a spiral. I just want to say it's a bit difficult. I mean obviously we've got to come here and get there. I'm curious about how you can hit your high on stage. It's pretty. You started to get a client pretty good but I mean in terms of the guy don't you want to join us. How do you wish to join us?

I'm very excited. I really just want to help you. I hear. What's your first thing you see in your career? I'm just really excited to do the double-dark and double-dark. I'm really excited to do the double-dark. I'm really excited to do the double-dark and double-dark. I'm really excited to do the double-dark and double-dark. Thank you for all those busy quotes today. Thanks. Thanks for all those busy quotes. Thank you very much. Thank you. Thank you. Well, let's get into your business. I'm going to be talking about some guy Kelly, about that guy who is the role of the top of the top. I'm going to be talking about my career. First time I met him, we just found it really hard. What do you think he can bring to the top? He can bring the top of the top. So, like, there's a lot of things going on.

What's going to be like for you to do in California, being out of fun today? This is what a lot of people are doing. It's like, I'm really excited to be here. It helps me to just put it on. Yeah, it's just really smooth. Different being out of state for career, there's a fun year for football. It's a different stuff. It's flying here. I'm curious. You can see a new generation of recruits where I don't think anybody outside of the community has questioned the strength of your commitment, like you're locked in the last eight years, sent it over and over. But you're making visits around the country. You see other schools. It's almost a totally different mindset. What's that code to be in the last decade? How do you approach those other visits? And how do you communicate with Ohio State about them? I'm just thinking the message of the country. I think you're talking about Ohio State. I just like to know that I'm always lucky. I'm still enjoying the buses. I'm just thinking of just letting them one time.

I'm just thinking of just letting them enjoy it. The other school that's out of line. Yes, I'm going to be really hard trying to get to this place. So, Ohio State is where I want to be. What is it that's made you want to take home? I'm not going to put out one specific bet. You're going to need a kill guy to find yourself in the first three. Do you get frustrated at the moments like that in the ball time in the new way? Definitely, a little bit of both. Obviously, I just wanted the team to win. I think you got a chance to win. No, definitely towards it. And then to stretch that last drive. I was a couple of plays here. A couple calls that he made me should have gotten. But I think the frustration is more so it just comes from wanting to win more or anything. What did you say he was a little surprised how much attention you got right away from the defense? How about you? Yeah, definitely. We maybe killed him or one of ones kind of how the game plan was set up. You didn't got like different coverage out of cloud to my side. And I just kind of had to gain those games. What's the process been in the election time?

Where, for whatever reason, just see that. Yeah, definitely. Especially in college, a lot of the game things, defensively, were taking your leg. You know, we had a lot of success at a bout. Stay out, see the one in the ball having different weapons. They kind of still get the victories. And I was, you continue to do a good job doing that here. Why are you taking the vacation? The process has been like post game getting on the same page with Kyler. You guys exchange tax terms. You guys in the film? Yeah, film. Definitely kind of asking what did I see there? Kind of go over and play. I just kind of give him what I saw and kind of different feedback there. Exchange words. Mark, I guess we're asking questions about the previous game. Are you the type of guy to let a game like that winger or how do you flush it? You got to move on. Got to move on. Some long season got like 16 more of them. Hopefully, no, I can stay healthy throughout the year and just continue building to better each week. You guys did so much work throughout the off season to get on the same page. How different is it when you get into that regular season?

Yeah, it's totally different. It's totally different. It's totally different. You can do a lot of things, you know, inserts and shorts and then you go out there and put practice and get pads on. You do like the point practice you do with the colds but there's nothing like actually going out there and live action. I'm really trying to be on the same page. So I think that relationship will continue to develop and we'll get better. Is that just a matter of roughs then? Yeah, definitely. Like I said, I was kind of my first live action together. So I can continue with me. What are your early impressions on the field together and what's your current? Yeah, but now obviously I have a deaf serve respect. No JG's call or preseason and obviously we all go really healthy. That's kind of the most important thing. And I was a deaf law healthy even going for it. So, um, that's it. Marvin, what are your early impressions of the Rams? What do you think of the Rams? Yeah, I mean, they're a good team. They're a good physical team. I got a new lot of new guys up front. I think that's kind of where the strong suit is. Kind of a little different to Buffalo, come more of a little match coverage.

So I'm excited to build this. Personally, when the belts take you one of my opportunities, how do you feel today? Wasn't many of them. Wasn't many of them. So, I thought I needed to get... I'm just what you think versus just playing. You know, not getting any preseason game. I actually think it was preseason. It was definitely, definitely thinking a lot out there. I think I'll come with reps. I think they're thinking less. They're just going out there and playing. Definitely come with reps. And it's something you're on, you're better at. But, definitely, I was thinking a lot out there. Is there anything you can do to prove that that's for the coverage? Anything you can do to the past? Because you're going to face that a lot, obviously. Yeah, I mean, you just got to team you. Get open for yourself. You're making yourself available. The one the ball does. Because anyway, making the play. The people just taking you away. That means other guys are having a chance to get open. So that's how I kind of how I look at it. It's no longer since you know offense. That's the best thing for us. They're continuity with Tyler. Is this something that comes pretty quickly out of the evening? Or something like that? I'm just hoping sooner or later, I think.

They'll look in team to see. We'll see. I don't think we're in a bad place right now at all. Obviously, I don't really think that. But just the live reps will continue to grow and show. It's a lot about life. It's like, it's like, it's helping us. Like, saying what kind of GM coach was. Everything's not always about ball with them. It's about like focus on like, how do you become a better man? A better player individually. It's only one player that you had your inner self. It's pretty easy. I always did that. I hope you can also as heading into Chris Neck season. Kind of trying to push for a job. Is that like a confidence booster? I mean, I'll say it was a confidence booster. One reason I'll say that because you get like good coaches who believe in you. And like, they give you the tools to go out there and just play with confidence. You know, not there doubting yourself. You got your teammates who got your back. Like, my first play when I got a third Tennessee. Like, when DeZel, the IGB and your main. Like, first thing they say is like, no, where you just go out there and play with confidence. You know, the tools, the usual tools. Just go out there and make a play. And where about a play coming to you? You know, where you show time, show job.

You just do it. And then like, the same one coach was like, he gives me, he puts me in a position. Like, at the drills we put in, the work you put in, the 1-0-1 touches, just go out there and just perform at the highest level. How much better are you right now than maybe last month, like, a number of drivers? Like, I mean, I got to lay better just because I've transitioned a little bit to the inside. I'm Nicholas Fawcow. I'm like, now I'm actually just like, catch, catch technique. And it's, often, cover is not always press at the line. So it's like, now I'm able to like move my feet, move my hands, like, see, like, what I got to do just like, just in case I got to go back in corner, I can, I'll plan off now. I'm very confident out there. Do you think that Nick was an actual fifth of you or have you had the kind of, to get yourself the transition to that? I mean, I feel like it's natural for me because I feel like me, individually, I'm a fast learner, a fast learner, like, coaches help us like, learn fast, like, because they're always honest about the techniques and stuff. So you, like, you play down, like, you pick up on all the things you did, like, when we get out here, they coach us to, like, the techniques, so we used to go out there and play like fast spot.

And it would, like, reverse until you were able to go out there and just compete. Is that where you kind of stuck this spring or do you think kind of bounce there? So I've really been stuck there this spring a little bit, but like, whenever you get this, like, other things, I just bounce out there every once in a while, just like, have fun, see if I still got it every once in a while. So it's as good as going through the compete at most spots. You mentioned the technique, what technique, you know, tips and things that you had to pick up and learn from, from the technique at the time. I mean, this is always like, you're, like, because what, preaches are fast, you hands, like, see it, you see it, move your feet, and then you hit your hand. With your hands on the mat, so it's like, when you get like, when you out there, you able to, like, just process like the way the receiver comes off the ball, looking at the hips and seeing like, the way he moving, like, you able to pick up like the row concerts, you can get out of that, like, so it's being like, undercooked walls for me, like, as a player, and just like, him breaking out football to you, like, one on one, it's like very beneficial. What was the hardest part of making that transition from outside inside?

I really say, like, the corner you've got to cover two, you can cover three, you can cover one, like, you know what I mean, it's easy, but then you got nickel. There are so many responsibilities you've got to see, like, the row concepts, you've got to be able to process, like, die in those rows faster then, which you've got to do in that corner, and just be able to, like, everything's quid, like, transition, you've got to, like, you've got to move fast, you've got to explain to move fast. It's like game recognition, where you think maybe you've run the balls since you got it. I would definitely say, I would definitely say, because when you get to, like, college, it's a little bit different. Like, high school, you don't got to worry about things like that. When you get to college in a school like this, like, your recognition of plays, and like, your loyal drops, the way, like, the coverage is supposed to be played, and I understand all your teammates are supposed to be having a feel. It's like, it is easy. What have your pressure been? It's very talented. It's a great deal. It's a humble guy. A great teammate. It's very supportive. It's like, God, that's what you want to rob, because you can feed off your energy

because you can see, like, when you make a play, he's like, he like, I do me. It's like, I do me a two-pointer, so he's like, when you get off there with God, like, that would get energy, it makes you play a little bit harder, and it's like, when you make a play, it's out there, and it's helping you, like, it's being out there with him, he's a good player. One of those guys, first question, handful of kids, come to Ohio State, obviously, with lots of peers. So, it's probably serious. For instance, now, what is it about one build that gets you to play at Ohio State? That's a big question, I know. It's a big question. And, I'm glad we just started preparing school, because we have so many kids, come out of Globule, and just play at games, elite schools, and then, like, like, track's a big part of it, because, I mean, to go after a Globule, everybody that I run, track, like, it's mandatory, you don't really get a choice. You're able to just, like, get out here, and, like, know how to compete, and then, like, G, like, give you bills that are mental toughness into you, so, like, have you, like, have you, like, have you, now, you got to be mentally tough, because, I mean, life, life's not going to be easy, so it's like being out here,

being out with a P, and when you down, just pick yourself back up, I mean, that's a being, it's down to me, and that's a deal with that. I'm glad you're here forever, you know, I mean, talk about his plans. So, you know, you wish transitions, like, one of those fairy tales, like, to your time now. You know what I mean? But, again, either way, you know, we talk about it, you know, that's the, that's the talk goes, you know, but, obviously, you know, he sees his, happy, then, one of his supporters. Yeah, I think everybody reads, and they're on the way, you know, and not everybody's the, bro, guys, come around, let's go, like, that's not everybody, right? Like, I think, for me, that's me specifically on Game Day, with the O-I, and how should we do, and what, like, that's my, like, well, I'm dead, like, that's my, like, the vocal time I feel like, I'm talking about this, you know, just recently, talking about how,

what I want to do for the Rums, I want to bring that, I'm energy, the Abroad, right? So last year, of course, I'm sure he's been doing for years, but, the year, I spent my own, he brought a lot of energy, excitement, happiness in the room, which is his natural energy, to where I only have to focus on me, you know, I didn't have to make sure, other, other guys are, you know, I feel some type of way when it came in here, because hump brought that. I'm a Humpsnut here, but I saw a winged bid for the room, I want to be that guy to make sure I'm on to amptical practice. Everybody's, I'm taking a field team, one period, you know, it's a low day, or something, you know, it's a discipline, but, like, I want to make it feel in Humpskills. Like, you have the parents to trick them. I want to bring that, because that's what me and Humps did to each other, who had each other do like this, but get locked, we're lit. So, I want to do that. I want to bring that energy on me, bring more guys, you know,

to do that, you know? I want to do that from day one, you know. I kind of have it. I want to do that from day one, just talking to them, and obviously it's that time I spent, and obviously it's a before-OTA started, just being in my self-esteem about what the room needs, you know, because I know I, renewal as one of leaders, you know, on Humps, is that we need a guy like that, just going to make sure the O-Ride is picked up, ready to go every day, those healthy, kind of little things don't happen to practice people and saying anything, and how I believe maybe different than somebody else maybe, you know, like, practice, at least, like, the legal positivity, you know, I mean, so, I mean, he, the energy, would be on just, oh, hyper-B lines, so that's kind of how I want to be, to go on on, really my whole life, I thought, yeah, I felt team captain,

like, specifically, and I felt I wasn't captain of high school, wasn't captain of college, but I want to make a joke, I was in high school, so I feel like I'm not going to be captain like, is that I felt? Yeah. But that would be awesome, you know, that happens, I'd be great, but not either way, I want to assume a role as a captain from the perspective of guys onto the visual world, and get back in that world. Yeah, I mean, I can't say that, I mean, I guess the biggest thing is that, I felt like I felt like how I used to be in the past, but it didn't take just the first LTAs and took training left and right, once this season ended, because I know what was going to be the champion. So, I think a lot of gramps just to give back to feeling like myself for the LTAs, and then now, personally, but now, like, today specifically,

just changing some small things with my feet, that is it, talking about the long coach, about some things I'm doing, my feet to get to sell my traditional handle that I love to sit on, I thought I felt, thought I felt great already, but I felt even better, so I need to work sides with tomorrow, now I'm getting my feet back and how I like the right side and on the left side. So, I'm excited. I mean, obviously, I feel like, in the league, whether you're left or right, you're still going against premiere guys, so obviously, you have high expectations for the LTAs and your tackle, but definitely, like the level of energy, and like the expectation, definitely taking the human state, because now, can I apply side? That's the, that's the tackle role, you know, so, so yeah, I would say in terms of communication, as far as this, even outside of the facility, you know, stuff like that, like really creating that, but in tackle court, about body warmth, the field, I think,

has been something that's, even the cool, I mean, I got the text one day, and I said, hey, thank you, well, I was like, you know, yeah, I've been training both, I've been training both, you know, I, I asked after the season, they're like, honestly, you know, we'll talk to you, some great season, and I just got a text one, I think I had this with the free agency, then, so I was like, you know what, I had an old season right tackle, so, if I get the word, I'm going, I'm standing right tackle, and I'll just do what I did before, I'm built on that, but I was like, I'm not as well as training the left tackle now, I'm going to be a left tackle, and I'd rather do that, than training on right tackle, and I'd rather do the right tackle now, I'm not as well as pushing my feet yet. You know what I mean? So, I'm like, let me just prepare an advance, I'll say, yeah, let's go. You know? I think occasionally, on third down, there'll be a lot of twists, I was just not like, it's a automatic, and I think that was my mindset for like the first half of the season, like, I didn't have to go into,

again, with some problems, like, oh, I kind of figured, like, okay, this is, this is the type of rush, man, yeah, this is how this guy usually rushes, if I get the vibe, this is how the ends, like the rush, you know, tackles that, you know, first year guys, we got the premier patch on, already know what it was going to be, already know, every step, and honestly, just knowing that's kind of an advance, so you're not, you're not, oh, the problems with my psyche, it was never air-dolphin, but it come out the mind, it's like, 30 plays in the world, in two minutes, and it's like, you know what I mean? I'm watching more everybody else, and you rarely, you know, it goes out there, occasionally, 30 plays down, I was like, you know, he's going to take me, you know what I mean? So, that effect, it's kind of, it's also kind of an advantage in the way, but it's also exciting, okay, I'm going to give the, the hardest look, you know, so the real, real rest, you know, the day, so,

really out on our way to kind of process, I was like, hey, when I tell me, let me know, but I'm just going to train it. I was a trainer all the way up, so, TAs, I guess, if I didn't hear anything about TAs, I would came to, like, so, you know what I mean? Because just, like, I'm cool with train of both, I would've been cool with train of both, continually, but I feel like, anybody, any position, feel like, okay, like, you want to, as soon as possible, you give your feet, kind of subtle, and your hips, subtle, hands, so, then, certain kind of, would it have been harder to work both there, how to use? No, but, they're definitely, but in terms of the development, they're definitely a lot faster to stay on one side, but I think having that, the weeks that we had to transition with seasons over, you've had to, like, respond, you know, you're trying to get up, put up on the front, and weak things at a time right now,

but, when it comes back, I'm showing you on the house, so I've got a house to not too far front, so I told him, I got that house, like, like, I got a yellow outside, like, DJ! You know what I mean? So, yeah. Communication with the team. You know, I was communicating with guys left and right, you know, front office, coaches, teammates, and all I care about is how I am with my teammates. I don't want them to ever think I don't care about them or how I'm not in it. And, you know, you can say whatever you want about me, besides that, but I always dedicate anything I can to them. And I don't want that to ever be a question. I think it felt like sometimes you were holding up somewhere watching film, you texted me a little, say, hey, you missed this, or you want to tweak that? Well, like, the first day, he was batting all of Russ's passes, so I had to let him know. You know, you got to take advantage of that, you got to make sure guys are, you know, know that you still

care, and you still want to be a part of this. You know, just watch and practice. There's a couple of those things we're doing different, whether I'm communicating with Dumbar or other people. You know, so here. So you're also talking with him, and you get him pointers during the offseason, just a constant communication. How do you see him grow as a person, you know, in part of how he's approaching things, how he getting ready for this season. You know, I think the thing with Keanu is, he's more comfortable. You know, it's not his first time around the track. You know, it's actually like he can, you know, catch his feet under him. You know, I always think, when you're in a rookie season, you're going from bowl game. I don't even know what's going to play in a bowl game. Sorry, Wisconsin, I don't even know, but, you know, personally, I just think, when you go from bowl game to training for the combine, you know, the rookie minicamp, OTAs, the, you know, many can,

I mean, the training camp, the regular season. You really don't get a time to, really catch yourself. You know, he understands the playbook now. He can be more vocal. You know, I think, with my absence, and other guys' absence, you know, you need guys like that to step up and be ready for those opportunities. So, they serve you had, you know, the same you had during the season. What was, just tightened down a little bit, but, you know, it was, it wasn't anything that lingers, you know. I'll say this, a growing is not like an ACL, it's not like anything's ever going to get affected again. And, you know, you know, feeling good, able to do everything, squat and heavy, with power and speed. So, you know, it feels good to, get after a gun. What do you think of what the team was able to accomplish in terms of, you know, I think they're all good at the beginning. I think they're all good at the beginning. I think they're all good at the beginning. I think they're all good at the beginning. But, you know, you never want to be known as a paper champ.

So, you can't win the off season. I think the work gets done out here on the field. It's done in the classroom. It gets done training. You know, and then you see where you are at in training camp. And then you build on that. You know, I think we got the right guys in the building. It's just about putting a completing month to. Can how difficult is it to separate the business part of the game in the actual football game? Oh, you know, you always want to, you always have to treat it like a business because, you know, one day it's going to end. And that's a good job. It's not like in college where, you know, you got four years guarantee. Well, now you don't even know what that I am, I don't know, scrap, transfer portal, portal. But, you know, you have to, I still have love for this game. And I still work my tail off. And I still put everything into it. And that's not going to change. But, you have to know

what you bring to the team and what your value is. Can't be only to be able to be out there with your teammates today. I'm actually. Great. You know, we got a new training staff and still learning the warm-up. A little different. But, you know, I love it. You know, just getting after it. And learning new guys. Going through the same drills I've been doing by myself. I actually like having more people around because like, kind of go stir crazy. When it's just you and another guy, you're like, damn, I gotta go back up for another rep already. And so, you know, it's nice to be up here and get a chance to be with my guys. Can we confident if you will get down to your emotion? Oh. I'm going to try to remain pretty neutral because, you know, I don't want to be to either way. All I know is I want to be here. But we'll see what happens. It's my last year here. I've had a great career here,

but I look forward to playing. Actually, can you do this? With that second surgery, you said at this time, it was on the left side. Was the first time around on the right side? Right side during the season. Left side. And that was just tightening down my core muscle. It wasn't the same as my ad doctor. You know, you can ask Dr. Bradley, Dr. Zuckerbron, who did the surgery as well. You know, if anything, it's going to help me and make me a lot stronger from here on up. You said you were training with another guy, who have you come in? Tyson, I've been training with him for the last eight years. We've always trained together. We've got a trainer up north, a child co-haley. He's my guy. He trained a heat miller, a bread keel, a multitude of guys that I'll respect. And we've just been getting after him. Can we do very few guys historically, 35, they paid big contract, and he that's held against you?

I think there's not a lot of history behind it. But, you know, for me, I look at as, I'm not looking to be like anybody else. You know, my game is different from everybody else in the sleep. You know, I like to think, you know, I can play the run in the past. And that's where I'm different. You know, I remember last year, Mike T. you just brought to my attention, you know, the thing that's really cool is you watch powerlifters. And, you know, my game's built on power and technique. And those guys go into their 40s. And so, you know, that's what kind of research I'm doing behind the scenes. But, you know, we'll see what happens. There's not a lot of history, but I'm here to make history. And I'm here to, you know, win another Super Bowl of Air and, you know, have a great season. Do you have a set goal for yourself? How many years you want to play in the NFL? Or do you just take things here right here? You know, it was top answering that question right after the season. I will say this guys,

I can't keep answering that question right after the season. That is not fair to the season that's not here to my family. You know, but in my mind, I got three years. And I want to maximize them. I want to play at a high level. And I want to go deep into playoffs. And, you know, we got a good team. And I'm going to do my part to be ready for all those situations. You've been playing on the practice team when you report to the trophy. It's a possibility that you might fold in and then, of course, the issue is... I have not even thought that far. I've taken a day. Okay. You know, I told my agent and we talked about it. I mean, we were cool coming out here. You know, I'll be here for many. And then, I'll be there for training. I don't know what the work entails, but when we get there, we'll cross that bridge. Why would a guy for you work? For a few more. Remain a steel worker who lives for years. You know, there was a conversation between me, Omar, and Mike T.

And there's certain guys there are one helmet guys. You know, and I want to be one of those one helmet guys. And, you know, there's a hunger and desire there. But that doesn't mean just hanging it up and calling it a career. To me, I think, you know, I got more bullets to fire. And, you know, I'm excited to do that. What's the meaning of last one? You and Russell Wilson are going to be out there with welterman, welterpainment of the year past. I saw Russ as a social media. But I have an idea to see it. I like the surprise happens when it happens. But, you know, it's cool to have another welterpainment of the year winner. You know, I think it's an honor to be there. And I'll say one thing. I won't be here. I'm just telling you guys, so it's not a big deal. I won't be here because I have to do a welterpainment of the year thing on Thursday. So, it's not like I'm skipping. So, all right.

But, you know, it's an honor to be with Russ. And, you know, it's an honor of doing things in the community. You know, doing great work. And, you know, the cool thing is, as much as we get honored and nominated for these things, the work doesn't stop. And, I can see that with Russ this foundation, you know, we had an event for our foundation. And my mom was quick to, you know, tell Russ, hey, we need the partners around. Mom, let's just enjoy the event. But, you know, it's, it's really cool to, you know, be a part of a lead group. All right. Thank you. Thank you. Oh, it's been good. I mean, just trying to, it's just a different way of play, different terminology, different, it's a whole different scheme. So, just learning how they want things done, compared to how you used to do things is really the... So, like being in that tight end room, everybody's got to have the skills to see. Everybody's different, but you all knew some of the things. Right. And, you know, it's a great room. A lot of really good guys have grown really close with a lot of those guys.

So, everybody helps each other. A really nice learner from Dalton, breadin' those guys. I mean, Dalton's done it for a really long time. So, he helps me a lot with things that really aren't coachable things, you know what I mean? I mentioned how the family is beginning, but what about working out here at this high school? Are you still in Ohio? Yeah. They've got to feel good. And, I don't know if your high school is like this, man, they can't feel the focus, but it's a different name. Yeah. I went to Lexington, I was about the eighth of the size of this place. Yeah, this is not like my high school, but this is a healthy place. But, super cool to be home and just be back and give you a little sense of comfort, I guess, for me, especially being my way for as long as I've been. So, I was a man in the kind of war around the city, and you've been there. Have you seen a bunch of blackout fans that have wanted to get your autographs and take a picture of you probably been here? I don't get, I don't go out of the hole. I actually went home yesterday. I went back to the farm for a little bit, which was great for a couple of days. He did it with my family and stuff and see my grandparents and everything. So, it was good. But I really haven't been out enough to know. So, I try and keep her inside. It's good, it's good. Yeah.

Do you think it was hard to walk out of the office? What do you think of your play and I really showcased it so far? Oh, that's a good question. I don't think that's for me. I'm just trying to give. I mean, every time I think you can be, you can play this game for 50 years, and there's always going to be something you leave the field with. Like, God, I wish I would have been better in that area. I wish I would have been better in some other way. You know what I mean? Like, it's never going to be. This is absolutely perfect. So, like, to me, that's... Right now, the hardest part of this is just mental toughness and stuff at all. I mean, physical toughness. I mean, you either have it or you don't, in my opinion. So, I mean, I've always felt like I was kind of bred in that area of the things, and that's just kind of way happens naturally. So, just play after play. That's kind of how we roll it. Okay. Thank you, good to know. Thank you guys. We are now. We're going to get you on the phone. Yeah, I was growing immensely. I mean, KLAB makes a lot of checks. Latham makes a lot of checks. I listen to them. Whatever they need, if I need to cover somebody, I will cover anybody. If they need me to do run support, I'll do run support. And it's really what KLAB does, what we do, and Latham. It just goes back to the Coach G's preparation,

and everyone's preparation to give us more flexibility and doesn't matter who's in those positions. And we can all play every position whether it's covering somebody or running and tackling. Did you feel like that was the case before the Oregon game? You're saying what I'm saying? I mean, is it something that's been added? It just, you know, rely on a little bit more. Go ahead. Yeah, it did. I was probably playing a Brasco game, a Megan and more safety reps. And we had a five week to prepare, so I really learned to play, but a lot more, even though I knew the play, but I learned a lot more. I'm out in debt, you know, so really just after the Oregon game, it helped me a lot to go back to safety, go to NICU everywhere. You guys had a lot of issues of giving up big plays in the passing game of the first game against Oregon. What do you feel like you guys need to be better as time around to make sure that doesn't happen? Just the same mindset. We got to challenge these receivers. You know, every dog has their day. Maybe some people didn't have their day that game, but we'll look out there and hopefully change the narrative.

And we still play with the same confidence, same confidence, same technique, and, yeah. Bill Rebinois, what is this batch? And Denzel obviously had a tough game. And that one, what have you seen from him and how he's responded? Do you get a sense of from him, how he's for this rematch? Oh, yeah, he's super stoked for this rematch. His preparation has been very good. He's always been preparing, even though it didn't go the way he wanted to go that game. But he just always had his confidence and we're going to see a big game out of him this week. And, you know, I know you guys wanted to play them in anapolis, but the fact that you get to play them at the Rose Bowl, I mean, get a second chance. And people have said, you don't get that very often. How determined are you guys to take advantage of it? We're super, super determined. We watched film. I mean, we've watched a lot of film. The first time we played them, now we've got another six games that they played of film to watch. And it's just, they've grown a lot as a team.

Same as us. We've grown a lot. We're not the same team. We were when we played them week one, or weeks, weeks, weeks or whatever. But now we're out there and going to play fast, physical, and everything like that. All right, Jordan, we're going to jump to the Zoom question here from Joey Coffin. Columbus Dispatch. Oh, my bad. Not too Joey. Cameron T. Robinson, the athletic. Hey, Jordan, you've moved around a lot in the second day in your career and now kind of getting some many more safety reps. What is it like at this point when Walt or Coach Mills comes to you and asks you to do something else? And just how much can you lean on the experiences you've had and moving around when you're trying to learn something new in the middle of the season? It means a lot. We always talk about, and this is if it's being on selfish, whether that's making plays or not making plays, or doing your job so another person can make plays. That's kind of what we pride ourselves on. And it's just fun, me moving around different positions. I'm always up for a new challenge.

And a lot of people in the country can't do that. I just hold myself to that standard where I can play any position and excel at it. Okay, and everybody else needs a question. Let me know, but otherwise we're going to go to Austin or the podcast. Jordan, when you were talking about watching film Oregon, which one do you think is more valuable to you watching that against yourself, seven games ago, even if you've changed, or the ensuing six games for Oregon, which one do you put more stock in? Kind of both. For me, I kind of watched what I did, things I did well, things I didn't do too well against them. And their team is changing, that life, their scheme has changed. Some players have been out those stretch of games. So I really watched the past game we played, and I know they're going to go back to some of the stuff that they liked, of course. And different games like Penn State, maybe Illinois, they're running a lot of men, so just watching, watching stuff like that, every game matters. So, yeah.

Jordan, thank you very much. Thank you. Shoot myself the foot I had on a hand around the game, how I had in the passing game, and really just stop getting it our own way. It's a CJ, first couple of weeks. It looks like you've been having more comfortable with off-script plays and taking more risks, what you're saying, that's something that's over now this year for you. I mean, yes and no. I don't choose a run, I run when I have to. I feel like I am agile and I can't get out, but I definitely try to read the defense to get my guys the ball, because they're usually open every time. So it's just up to the pocket, and navigate, and try to make my whole line arrive also. If I have to extend the play. CJ, you guys started going to last year and now you two know how much different the things feel this year, and now you've had the whole season after your belt, would it be learned, or would you feel like you guys are going to? Oh, it's too, oh, it's a lot worse than the two, no.

So, you know, I'm definitely grateful, I'm definitely, you know, blessed we playing this great game. But, you know, it's definitely a lot of things we can clean up. I think around the league, you can see that, though, you know what I mean. A lot of sloppy ball, you know, some teams playing better than others, but I definitely know that, you know, section 4 was not what we put on the field today, but, you know, at least in the second half, would definitely be better, for sure. You and Nico connected on a couple of scrambled drill style plays. Is that something you guys work on actively? Is that a focus of yours? No, it's just two guys out there making plays. You know, we have a drill that we do at practice, that, you know, it does help those things. But, you know, trying to just be two guys, be dynamic players. You guys think you're going, you're falling in that way, the kind of mind-melons that we're speaking of. Yeah, for sure. I think, I mean, Nico, we've always had a good relationship and always, you know, you're at each other well on the field, but I think even now, you know, we'll take the next steps. And you can see, you know, staff getting involved more, tank getting involved, dulled and breath. We're just trying to spread it around, you know,

and we have so many dynamic players. So, you know, it's a good problem to have. You know, obviously, you know, also prepared a thing that nature, how do you balance, you guys have to win. But, you said you're letting them put on Texans football. How do you kind of balance one of the correct order mistakes? But, wow, also, you know, celebrating the win that you guys just had today. It's football. It's hard to win in the NFL. I'm happy. Of course, I'm not satisfied. I'll never be satisfied. There's always things that you can point out. We're not going to let one half of football make us put our head. And we're going to stay confident. We're going to stay taking shots. We're going to stay, you know, betting on us. So, I definitely, you know, understand, you know, we need to be better. But, you know, like you said, winning is number one. So, we won and now it's time to move on and get better. Can you talk a little bit about what Payneas meant to the team over these past two weeks? And as a quarterback, as an offense, does having a kicker that can hit for long range like that,

consistency, you guys have a little bit of extra confidence, you know, once you get over 50, you got that? Yeah, any guys? Yeah, any guys in his veins, man, I'm super happy and proud of him. And he broke a record today or something like that. So, you know, we definitely need him, you know, all points are big points. And I definitely think like the preparation and just who he is at practice, you know, you can, you know that he's going to knock it down just because how hard he is on himself during practice. And, you know, it was a great job. I especially teams today blocking it. Also, you know, Punt, Tommy doing his job as well. So, you know, it takes three phases for water and for water game. See the e-mission. All right, here's a little get those numbers. I promised it was not long. 4-6-0-2, now through 17, career games. Remember, it's the couple a year ago due to that concussion. So, reaches his full quote unquote first season, at least from a game standpoint here in week two of year two,

proud when we're looking up at a few. It's different for me. I'm really like a ball player type of guy. Not the most outgoing and vocal, but we're not talking about real-life type of people listening. So, just taking more of that type of aspect into my game, just making me more complete as a football player. I'm really the decent one. How have you seen maybe change a little bit with Coach Hardline in a bit different role? Maybe whether it be other coaches, coach Jordan, or players stepping off time to keep that simple. I want to say a change, once he's still a super involved, he always tries to stay engaged with us guys. I mean, he's the ocean now, and he's more skimmed,

he's schematically now, but he's still keeping that relationship strong with us and still really in there with the silver coin. And shout out to Coach Jordan as long, stepping up, taking a big little Coach Jordan as well. He's a huge factor in our learning since I've been here. So, it's a big process of coaching everything. How do you feel like the spring's gone for you? Obviously, you've done this now. Just what have you taken from us? I'm extremely comfortable, super confident in my ability to do what I do. Just building that trust with my quarterback, just pretty much what I came in when I do. Just let them know that they got it. They got to arrive after the third change next time, because I was on the field. You know, just establishing that, showing you, like I said, ready to show my young guys a foundation, I was amputating on what they're coming and doing, what's the expectation of what they're doing? It wasn't, I'll say it better. Real value last year. When he did, caught. Yeah. Yeah, obviously trusted you to certain extent. How long have you felt yourself building that trust and thinking of doing it? I think it's been good. Just being more vocal with them guys as well.

Me and Will are very vocal, even in practice a lot of times, just things they go my way in the game, but even in practice a lot. I was very comfortable with them. More vocal guys. But working in that arm, I'm a quarterback now, and they're doing a better job. Just blowing to the ceiling, taking our feedback, not for more criticism, but just because we love it, and we want the best for you. Just doing that, and just keep growing on that, all the way to far, and all the way to the fresh game. It's just fantastic. You are doing some more outside for sure, you're stuck as well. Yeah, I've been more, the more years you get under your belt, the more experience you get, you start knowing this offense more and more, not just your position or what you're doing, or like everybody's, what you're doing, how you're doing, and why you're doing it. So I mean, yeah, I've been rapping outside, ZXH, anywhere in Coach Han Han means me to just really be that guy and go make a play on it. What's the biggest difference for you between outside and outside? The pace. A route concept, you can kind of get the pace you can play within the size more for next game in the slot.

Something I got very comfortable with. Just the ways you get attacked the defense, I think. Just you know, conceptually and also just height. You're placed down. But I mean, just doing both and just making me a better guy for the NFL. And that's what Coach Han Han plays the time. Producing on the NFL talent and producing NFL guys. I'm feeling very comfortable with that. Do you have to have a different mindset as a slot receipt? Because it's going to be long. Absolutely. I think it's more thinking. I think it's more of a, you have to have a understanding of the game a lot. In the slot, you've got to have a feel. It's just natural. I feel like it's more natural position. And on the outside, it's just more, you know, get different things and see different companies and see more. You see different player types and corners and nickel bats and safes more in the slot. So just seeing how you can attack knowing your person now and how you can attack some people is, I say the biggest difference. Do you have that more courage? You have that more courage in the slot? Oh, yeah, absolutely. It's basically like being myself in the slot faster.

My skinnier guy, I want to put hands on, I want to get physical with you, but you just got to match that and just let them know that you there too. You was in a battle, especially whatever gets you on to, you're probably less inside outside. I'm just wanting to make plays and show one one of the best for the city of America. So that's in the outside, that's in the inside, whatever coach I'm on in this team needs me help us win and show them one of the best for the city of America. Thank you, feel certain. At that time, at halftime, you go back to 0-0. The score, they scored a thin and a half. We knew they got the ball back. The defense wasn't quite happy that they gave the touchdown at the end and we knew they get the ball back coming out, but we was excited because we knew the job wasn't doing it. Bill Rebellion, it's Columbus, this way. You were a five-star guy and that coming up. All these guys in the room almost were five-star guys. And then there's Jeremiah. Does he like all you guys in the room?

I mean, I'm not sure. It's probably something you got to ask him, Jeremiah has played with a lot of great guys throughout his career. He's seen all the talent you can see in the world, but I don't know if he's ever in all, but I mean... Oh, and I, oh yeah, I mean, I'm not surprised at anything he does now. I've seen him just out, we were nine years old, so anything he does, anyone hand-kidged, I've seen... I'm not surprised at anything he does. When he was nine, do you know this is something special we've been met? Oh, yeah, I mean, coaches were coming up to us complaining that we were nine years old. Like, can we get their IDs and stuff like that? So, I mean, there's definitely some footage that we got to go find, but the place we used to make when we were younger and just to see where he is now is amazing. And it seems very unaffected by all the starter. Yeah. How did that happen? I think how he was raised. He's very level-headed, he knows his goals and what he wants to get done in life.

And this is just one step of the way for him. Can I throw a back to Texas for a couple of questions on Zoom, Scotty? Yes, sir. We're going to start with Defon from Cleanand.com. Go ahead. Brandon, I want to go back to what you were talking about with Coach Day earlier. You know, whenever he talks about this team's success, he says all the credit goes through players. It seems like the players think that he deserves some of the credit. How big, how influential has he been during the turnaround you guys have had these last few weeks? He's been a huge man. Coming here after that team of North Wallace, he knows heart breaking, of course. But we came in here, we had a leadership meeting, and he was in here. I mean, and then we had a team meeting after that. Hearing the stuff he had to say, and we had to say, going back and forth, we just, we knew, we would have his back no matter what. I mean, there's a lot of stuff set about him and his family and stuff like that. But, hey, here we're a brotherhood and we're a family.

And we just, we go stand by him no matter what. Our next question is going to come from Dan. Hope Dan go ahead. Brandon, I mean, I'm sure you came in here to Ohio State thinking you'd probably be starting here in your second year. But it seems like you really embraced the growth process. Just what's kind of that process that like for you of kind of embracing your role this season and continuing to develop? Yeah. Life things doesn't go the way you exactly planted too. And that just happened, you know, things happened to Mecca last year that allowed him to come back. And that allowed me to learn more. And that's just how I see it makes me a better football player for the future. So yeah, I mean, yeah, let's see that. Three more on Zoom. Next one is going to come from Stefan. Means. Go ahead. I'm steaming, but I'm sorry. Yeah, you're good.

Brandon, there are a lot of clips of you this year where you're super, super excited after a block. And kind of showing your emotion there. What about blocking do you love so much as a receiver? Just being able to hit another guy with all my power. The hardest I can without any get any consequences. Except if you accept a few hold, of course, but yeah, just bringing that power. I mean, I heard some of the defensive guys telling me yesterday they were like, bro, I hate to go against you. So knowing that from the defensive guys. So I know what the other defensive guys are thinking like just keep bringing it to them. They're not going to like it for four quarters. That's my mindset. Next question is going to come from Danny Davis. Danny. Go ahead. Brandon, what are your impressions of these Texas defensive backs and this kind of we've seen from them on on. To them, so far. Yeah, the last couple days we watched them on their fast team. They don't give up many big plays down field.

They're aggressive, but I actually know some of the the DBs they have at corner there. I play with them. Well, I played with Malik Muhammad at SFE. So I might know him a little bit and we have been watching them. They're fast team. They're physical. They're disciplined, but we just got to get the job. Give any Malik stories or any any. What do you say? Give any Malik stories or anything you remember about playing with them. Yeah, but I'm not going to say them here. Yeah, what's this keep that? Our final question is going to come from Kurt Bulls. Kurt, go ahead. Hey, Brandon. One of the issues Texas has had the second half of the year is finishing. And what if you can speak to and they had a trouble obviously in the peach bowl, you know, blue with 16 point leak. And you talk about finishing and having a killer instinct and you guys obviously seem to have that now.

Yeah, I think that started started in offseason training at Fall camp. We always say go plus two. If you're doing a 10 yard pro shuttle, you have to go plus two throughout the line. And that's just finishing. I was well and then fall camp. We had these long two and a half hour practices or whatnot. And then we came out and we had to do these finishers. We called them ask for games late in the year like this. And we, I think Coach Day has a great, did a great job preparing all of us for these moments. And yeah, we just were ready to go. We have time for just a couple more questions and clumpets so we can wrap up with our other two guys. Bill Landis, Kings of the North. Brandon, I'm sure you'll be on the second touchdown run. It seemed like you took two players out of the play first with your release and then with the guy you actually blocked. Is that, is that how it's designed? Or was it just lucky to the guy decided to take off inside of the release? It's actually designed for me to block the safety and lead the corner one on one with the running back.

But I was surprised that the corner actually came in so far in my lease. I think he thought it was a pass. But I think he was the edge of the defense. If you go watch that play, but I don't know, I don't really know why he came in so far. But it helped out for us and I made my block and turned off score. Are there any lessons there for like, and even a young receiver watching that, that even if you know him a play, you're not getting the ball, you're intended to block. But you, you release has to be, at all point, like as if you're going to go pitch pass. Yeah, definitely. Every little detail matters and then type of plays. We were in a red zone there. So we say every yard matters. It's two yards. So the block I made is just a testament to Kyle. Coach Hardline, prep me throughout the week to make that block. And final question. Joy Conference, Columbus Dispatch. And it will and then this has been some of the ball to equal lately, and some of the special way you guys have open games. What do you think is this quick for you guys and for him and watching those buzz? A lot more confidence.

I say throughout the year, we were always there as offense. We didn't quite know our identity. And now slowly but surely, I think we found that and we're going to keep on rolling. And he's made some great throws. And yeah. I'm sorry, Brandon. I do have one more steep. That way you do the 24-7 sport. Brandon, there have been opportunities for you to play a huge role on offense. And the number of plays you play in game can differ from one week to the next. But the opportunity is coming sooner rather than later for you to be in every down player. Just one of the things you need to do in your game to take it from where it is now to be in every down guy. I think there's a lot of things I could work on in my game. I would say continuing to be football smart by IQ. Just knowing what the defense is going to do before they do it. My routes always can get better. My hands always can get better staying in the jug machine.

Work at the keybone top of the big. Don't get satisfied with anything I do. Don't get too big, don't get too low, don't get too high, don't get too low. That's what they say. Do you feel like a guy that the people follow, it seems like. In your mind, even the second you're guy that you're kind of working toward being kind of a leadership type guy. I got a book. I have a book that has guys that will take that role. It's a great feeling, of course. No guys are watching what you do and listening to what you do. But I just feel like we do that with a lot of players here and not just myself. But the leadership we have on this team is like no other. And that's why we got so far, I think. Brandon, thank you very much. Not knowing anything but to go hard and put his head down. I'm super, super proud of Will. And I think we can't feed off each other. He was a lowly or under recruited guy out of high school. So they always know this is to go hard and what that looks like. So I'm proud of him. What do you think Max is better at school?

A lot of skill. I mean, the guy, he fits the room, personality wise. Johnny will tell you that. He's fun to be around. He's an outstanding ground runner. And he wants to get better and he's hungry. So he's a great addition. We've got a lot of people from the outside with the seed. And a new guy comes in. You guys have two or five guys who feel like they can get reps to you. Maybe some people want to follow some of these guys. Why would you guys say why is this group so deep and steady? You can though you guys probably another guy. Yeah, I mean, I think it's just a testament to how strong his brotherhood is. When a coach told us that we were bringing him in the bags, I just thought it was a great opportunity for me. I can worship stuff and he's a great player. And I already have the resource stuff for me and Will. I think now we have some really good guys in the room. We just stay fresh. It was a lot of fun. I could try there and ultimately become the best players we can be. I think it was a late time. We saw that. Yeah, I saw that. It was like, take him. I'm not sure you're not watching for these offense, but you guys can get ready.

But how quick did you realize that this guy's legit? You see the numbers and see if someone can realize that this guy is real good? What I bet on the first day, he was a class act. And for me, I think character is a big thing. I had a really medicated football player and he doesn't have good characters. And I bet on the first day I knew that he was a hard worker. He came in here just grinding and then you know it's showing right now in the field. It's going great. Do you have to do physical training to get better at these surface? Yeah, top-time. Yeah, I mean, I'm not really focused on specific areas. I obviously want to become a more polished outrunner. And to get better at vlogging and to get better at past protection. So real I'm just working on everything, man, hopefully, you know, to get home this together. And I can have a really good year. Does it feel good to have the only touchdown catch from one of the quarterbacks around the past? Yeah, tools. Yeah, that was cool. That was a cool moment to have with them. How's that been working with Jordan and Lincoln?

You guys were some course of the world. Yeah, it's great. I remember when Lincoln first got here, I was dragging him out to the field and throwing with me. So me and Lincoln got way back and I'm for the first got here. I loved Julian and even Tavius coming in and he's impressed me. So there's a lot of talking about the quarterback. Is this the leadership that Coach just wants to see? I mean, how are you seeing those three guys having a marriage? You know, as leaders and is it at world? Yeah, I think they at first weren't nowhere near as vocal as Will was when Will got here. But I think they're really stepping up in that role and it's really good to see. All right, thank you. Awesome, thank you guys. Thank you. That's a good one. I mean, just how it was raised, I just know how to work. That's all I had to do. Just give him effort and just going east out of there. I want to say this with full respect. When we see JJ and Sonny, it's like, that makes sense. When you're the third guy, were you surprised to be named? What puts you in that same category?

Yeah, I was a little surprised. I kind of have a feeling because I kind of like, I mean, I kind of could have guessed it. But like, I just knew that I was one of my goals at the top of being Iron Buckeye and I just couldn't work out as an other guy. So what did you get in now? What did you mean? How did you take it? It was really special right after I took some parents. And they really knew what it meant until like the video came out and the question they could explain it to. So then, after what it's in there, I guess. Back then, when you were playing football, you were playing football, then right now, in games. Did you think you'd tell the difficulties of going back and forth? Not just like we were learning them, but actually having to play both of those five. Yeah, it's pretty difficult. Especially during the game, you have to put the whole mind around. It's a lot easier in practice because it's like getting like several down, but like going left and right in the game. It's pretty hard, but like in high school, it was every other player I was in back then with Triple R. So I knew it.

I was not full with it. And sometimes I just take it one walk into my mind, sometimes I was going to say it to be the same playing in it. Again, I mean, my time is a different thing in my head. I can bring in two factors in the project, and bring in some kind of fun with it. I can bring in three factors in the project, and set them by attack, and I can cut it out. Yeah, so I got to set the example. And then my first two weeks here, I was teaching them. I don't know what they're expecting these players because I was in a new place with them. And even their defense, they're like technique two, three, nine, keep the same technique. But just helping them out, because we need all of those. What's your idea of playing back what you're going to come about? About like Ramp, the team member, the coach, the coach, the bowling game, the coach, the team winning, how do you like to come about? It came close to springtime. They want to have, they just want to have a good fight out there, and they don't play the best. So they just won't get the chance.

What do you want to do all of the time? They're awesome. They're great. A lot of eyes, it's awesome because everyone's watching something. It's not like someone's only watching this place, so you know what's going on. You've got to feedback to get after the play, after the practice. All three off, all five. It's awesome. They tell you everything. Because they know what's the last time I had with coach Johnson, coach Dickie's watching 11 and coach him. The one who feels the right from night. You know what's going on, it's funny experience that you got the big reps in the big games. All that helps. It really boosts my confidence. And I can lead the young guys too. I know it's going on because they really don't really miss this first time spring. So I like to do a lot of stuff. Just that leadership. Resetility has also been mentioned a lot. It's been a lot of both sides of the ball playing in different spots. Can you elaborate on that? Yeah. Yeah, I can beat that question a lot more.

Can you start about the versatility that coach Jason is talking a lot about that up. So I said, well, you guys in different spots being able to win. You all have seen it last year. We lost two stars. All maybe started. So really guys need to step up and go into season. I didn't know I was going to be playing a start left guard. And I didn't really know I was going to be bounced over the right. And what did Donnie knew is I'm bounced out to tackle. So it really helps everyone. I think a lot of guys this season are playing multiple positions. It's going to help us in football. But if you learn from Donnie and Jogger, it's that in all family. Just like technique wise, they really helped me like pretty snap stuff. And my no one like was what you guys. I can play for myself. Thank you. Thank you. That's only going to motivate him more. It's fuel to the fire, which I think is good for us having into this week. What was the first moment that you saw in the tellers? This could be something.

I would say probably just his mindset. Not even obviously he's a freak when it comes to his body and stuff like that. Just his physical nature. But I think just as mindset the way he approached the weight room, it didn't really seem like a way of freshman would. And he was our only freshman ever to receive an ironbuck eye reward, which is something I was pushing towards my entire time being here. But it takes another level of duty to be able to receive that reward, especially as a freshman. So that's when I knew. Steve, what do you mean? More on that. When you and Mara first got here, Garrett and Chris were out of it about the way that you guys, even as freshmen, were pushing two guys who were about to be first round ground picks. And then Mara kind of said the same thing about Carnaul and Brandon last year. How did JJ push you guys when he first got here as the young guy? And now you guys are the older guys? Yeah, I would say it's very similar. It's kind of the same exact thing. And I don't know what it is about the culture and its own sex, but we keep bringing in these type of people you're in and you're out.

That's what makes our room so great. But I think that something that JJ was able to push me in was just, you know, he was able to push me in my leadership. I needed to grow in that aspect. But he also was able to challenge me when it came to the weight room and on the field. Because we were always paired together when it came to summer and when our workouts were always lifting together, you know, I get a couple wins. He get a couple wins. So I was really that next level step of competitiveness that I needed and that edge that I needed. That Murphy 2474? You guys came into the Tennessee game with a lot of outside motivation with Michigan loss and kind of the three weeks talk. I know obviously there's still not motivation to go on and win a national championship. But how do you keep that kind of edge to lack of a better term mentally after that? Some of that stuff has kind of gone away probably to big win. I would say kind of if you lose your edge, I wouldn't really call you a true competitor. I think that, you know, the way with the college football playoffs is structured.

The intensity cranks every single week. So if you're not more intense than you were the last week, then something's wrong with you. I think that, you know, Tennessee was a great win, great for our momentum. But we have our full focus on Oregon. Not worrying about anything in the past, nothing in the future, our full focus towards this game. And then, you know, we win this one, we go on to the next one, our full focus is going to be on that one. So it's just you can move it down a ladder like this. Step on Crankstein, please don't drop down. Mike, there's been a lot of change in college football in the playoffs. I think of that nature. But you know, the way in some of you and some of your teammates and coaches talk about the Rose Bowl seems like that's one game. It's really, you know, maintained a lot of that tradition. You play the net, you know, what it's about. Could you explain it to, you know, also, you would never have a chance to play that why the Rose Bowl has maintained, you know, that level of respect from players and coaches. Yeah, I think, I don't know, they're just something about it. Something in the air down there in Pasadena. It's just a beautiful venue, especially that time of the year. Like you said, the tradition is held year in and year out. And it's kind of the game you dream of playing in when you're a little kid, you know, playing back yard football with your friends.

The Rose Bowl is always one that tends to come up. So just having a chance of playing it is definitely very surreal. And this is going to be my second time. So I'm going to do my best to take it all in while also being fully focused on organ. Dan, let me worry. The match will still have 90 minutes about that first game in organ. Just what kind of drive you seem to him this week wanting to get back at this one? Yeah, Will is, he's a laser focused person. He goes about his business. I mean, he's very loose and he's very calm and he's able to rally the team. But you can see it in his eyes that this game means everything to him. So every single practice, every single huddle, making sure we're sharp, making sure we have a... You know, a better practice than we had last. Then yesterday, a better practice than organ's having. So his full focus is on being this team. And, you know, obviously it's hard not to think about the stuff of the past. But I know he's laser focused on what we got coming up. Tony, you heard me in Buck I Hell. Matthew, when you were a kid playing back yard game, you got to gain what team we played for.

Honestly, I wasn't, I was never really a. A Buck I fan until, you know, I really committed here. And I saw what it was all about. I was actually an organ fan growing up, especially on the Pacific Northwest. You know, my grandpa went to UW and stuff like that. So I liked the Huskies too. But there was a legendary football player named Foto Liatto from my high school. And he went to organ. And a couple of y'all probably know that story. It's from a couple of years back, but he tragically died in the car accident. And, you know, he was, he was someone I looked up to in high school. You know, I was relatively close with him even though he was a bit older than me in age. But I'm just seeing what he did at my high school and then going on to play big time football organ. That was a school that I really dreamed of going to. They build a bit like, on the back. I think that's another Germanic question. Is there one moment, one play, one something that made you go, oh man, I've never seen it before. That's just incredible. Yeah, I'll say it's happened multiple times.

There's not really one I can pinpoint, but the more he does it, the more I tend to react less. So I would say probably my earliest memories of it were in spring ball. Kind of getting the first glimpse of him when he's making all these ridiculous catches. And he still does it time and time again, even now. But it's just more common now for me. The land is one that keeps the north. But you had, I think, 12 touches in the first game against Oregon Thunder Sanctuary. Is there something about this matchup that favors you? And now that you have, where that productive, the first time you played this team, what kind of attention? Or I guess maybe different defenses are you expecting to see? Yeah, I mean, we're not entirely sure what their game plan is going to be, but we're paired for everything. You know, I'm not going to get too much into scheme and stuff like that. But we know that if the ball comes our way, we've got to make those plays. So whether I have 10 receptions again coming up this game where I have zero or one, we're just looking to get this win on the road because it's really a road game for us, you know, flying across two times on. So I think that, you know, it's going to be a great matchup.

Whether they tend to focus on me more or not, it doesn't really matter to me because I know our team has a great plan regardless. That time for a couple more questions, especially over a letterman role. You guys are surprised when the game and the strategy of current also came out in the water today. You can kind of feel it throughout the game, I would say. You know, he's a true competitor. He wants to get involved, but at the same time he's super selfless. He's really humble. So he's going to do whatever it takes for the team to get a win. But it's the competitor nature and then that wants to contribute as much as he can. So, you know, I try to be in his ear to tell him to be level head and stuff like that. Not that I need to. He's a very level headed and selfless guy like I'm saying. But, you know, sometimes that's just how the game goes. You know, I had a game this year where I only had one catch, but you know, we ended up winning by lot. So I think that, you know, it's hard or it's easy to be focused on the personal attributes that you could have game in and game out. But no one's really going to remember those if we're holding up the trophy at the end of the year. He could be a number one.

Well, 95% of football is right now, but he's like number three. You see his work as a whole of those things that he does that makes it play. You guys ever been behind him like, yeah, this guy could absolutely be a number one on the low-scull of football. I would disagree with you. I think that he is a number one. I think that we don't have a number three receiver. I think we have three number one receivers out there. So whatever the defense, you know, if they want to put their attention on one guy or a couple of us, they're not really doing themselves any favor because we're going to have a favor. We'll match up on the other side of the ball. So that's never how we view ourselves. We know we're alpha dogs out there every single one of us knows we have the capabilities to be a number one receiver and we are number one receivers. And final question. He made one of the clutch plays that passed down the sideline. At any time when you make that play, you think, did you ever, your mind that we're going to win this game after we were now close to field goal range. I mean, did that play in your mind? Say, my goodness, we've got a chance to get out of here with the win.

Yeah, I definitely knew where I caught the ball and I knew we were, you know, close to being a field goal range. So, you know, there was a sense of, you know, I knew I knew it was a big play that I made. But in those moments, you have to finish out the game no matter what you can't get a big head. You can't get complacent. You have to finish the game until the clock hits zero. So that's something we've been working on. You know, we work on two minute every single Wednesday. Every single Wednesday practice. So today we'll work on our two minute and we don't even call it two minute. We call it clutch because in those times, in those games, in those big moments, someone has to make a clutch play. So we're focusing on that every single game, knowing that we're going to have to make one of those plays coming down the stretch here. What would it mean if you're able to finish this one off and get to the final four of this playoff? Just what in your mind, just would this be, you know, just the ultimate, I suppose, to be a team that's already beaten earlier this year? No, I think the ultimate would be winning the national championship. You know, we're focused on this. This just happens to be the next team in the way. We're not focused on when we played them earlier this year, whether they got the win over us.

They're just a nameless, faceless opponent. So we're going out there fully prepared. Not worried about what's happening in the past. You know, we played them before. We felt them out. So it's all about who got better from that point in time until now. Thank you. Thank you. We're a little bit by committee in the back back in on returning Brandon. And this is there. Mech is there. We'll have a few guys back there we can use. You know, I think they'll see a couple of them there. But in terms of kickoff return, Jay and Boud will do the first kickoff. We'll go for that. Well, again, you know, it's coach speaks for a reason, but it's true. It's it's about our standard. And what is our standard? We want everybody to grade out over 80%.

You heard us talk about that champions and that's that's a big part of it and then be the hardest playing team in the country. So if it's truly not about our opponent, and we really embrace that, then it shouldn't matter. You know, we have to respect everybody we play against. We have to respect the game. We have to respect the fact that we only have 12 Saturdays in the regular season every year. I mean, these are precious opportunities for all the work that goes in, you know, to think that, you know, a game would be under value. I mean, that's not even on anybody's radar right now. You know, we have a certain standard that we have to play with. We want to come into this game and you know, set the tone for the season. That's our goal. And then we come in on Sunday and figure out what's right. But every season is different. You know, this season is what it is. But it doesn't change our approach into the first game other than, you know, you just have a different group of guys out there. And I think with this group, we do have some experienced guys that have played a lot of football. We also have some guys who are excited to see on the field. You got guys like Wil Howard and Caleb Bounds and Quinch on Jenkins.

And we have some guys that we haven't seen. Will Kazmarik. So I think we're all excited to see what those guys look like in a game and see how they gel with the team. I don't think anybody forgot about what a great player, Michael Bukes. I think he's a great player. He's a great player. He's a great player.

I'm excited. I'm excited. We got a long way to go. There's a lot of storms coming in. Nothing's going to be easy. It's just the way the game football is. I do like the way the offensive staff is coming together. I like the way they're working together. Chip has been great with the staff. He's got ideas. He's got a different perspective. Things are going to look a little different. I think it's a good group together. It's going to be a long road.

It's going to be very important. I feel that same chemistry. It's going to be strong right now. It's going to be a long road. It's going to be a long road. It's going to be a long road. I think it's going to be a long road. I think it's going to be a long road.

I think it's going to be a long road. I think it's going to be a long road. I think it's going to be a long road. I think it's going to be a long road. I think it's going to be a long road. I think it's going to be a long road. I think it applies to me just pretty much.

I'll talk to my squad. I think it's going to be a long road. I think it's going to be a long road. I think it's going to be a long road. I think it's going to be a long road. I think it's going to be a long road.
