
Prescott Could See Gusts Up to 50 MPH

Prescott and the surrounding mountain communities are expected to see strong winds beginning late Monday morning. The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the Yavapai County mountains, including Prescott, from 11 a.m. Monday through 8 a.m. Tuesday. Forecasters say south winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour are expected, with gusts reaching up to 50 mph at times. The gusty conditions could make travel difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles such as RVs, campers, and tractor-trailers.
