Predicting Win Totals for Florida Gators and the Rest of the SEC

And today's episode of Lockdown Gators, going to be a good one. We're going to talk about the betting lines before we do that. What are sports traded like markets?

I mean, it might not even be a very true. But I feel like I have been. Not awesome at predicting win totals.

3:05I think throughout my time with with back down again, which is probably five years yesterday, which is not. I think I've been really good at the player evaluation part and then we get to like wins and losses. And that's usually where where it's not so accurate. So we're going to try this one right now. We're going to look at the. Win totals are thrown up here. I'll put them up and down as, you know, we're talking. But for the Florida Gators, their win total is set at seven and a half on Fandall, not touching it. You're going to say that. I've been very open about how unpredictable the schedule is for the Florida Gators. I think that they finish with seven or eight wins. So that's right on the line. If it drops back down to six and a half because that's where it started, I would take the over. Once it goes back up to back down to six and a half, I would take the over because well. That's about where I think the Florida Gators wind up is is that seven or eight win mark nine as possible, but not likely to seven or eight. You have Auburn is at six and a half.

4:05I'm leaning under on Auburn. I am I'm I'm leaning under on the Auburn Tigers. I think they lose most of Tennessee Georgia LSU Ole Miss Alabama. Right. So that's five losses right there. You lose one more. And you're under. So even if you do win one of them. There's not a little room for failure there. So I'm leaning under. I don't think I'm going to bet it right now. Maybe the odds choose up a little bit, but I don't think I'm going to bet it right now. Georgia is at nine and a half. I'm taking the over for them, honestly. They've got three teams that are three opponents right now that are ranked. They got a couple of opponents that I could be. Challenging could be tough. Of course, there's there's the Florida game there. But of the three ranked opponents, you need to lose all three in order to not hit your over.

5:10I think they win two of the three, which even if you drop another game. Well, let's say you win two of the three and lose to Florida. That still has you at 10 wins. Do I think that they're going to lose. Two of those three games against ranked opponents. No. And then lose another game. No. I know. So I'm going to say over for nine and a half. I hope they go under. But. And also not betting it. I refuse to bet an over on Georgia. Okay. But I will say. I think that's over. Ole Miss is at seven and a half. And I'm not touching that one at all. Similar to Florida. I think that they're just far too. I don't want to say volatile because that implies they've done something to be volatile. I think they're just far too unpredictable right now. And for Ole Miss. I think you could finish a seven or eight wins. You have five ranked opponents all are in the top 15 right now. Like it's not an easy schedule at all. It's a year of one under Pete Golding.

6:11And we've never seen him be a head coach long term. I don't care. I really don't care what they did in the cultural file with him at the helm. Because you didn't do that. Like he did. He wasn't the guy that got you there the whole time. Arkansas for and a half. Not touching. But I'm leaning under for them. Utah at Utah. Georgia. Tennessee. Texas. LSU. That's five right there. You're probably going to lose all five of those. You're one for Ryan Silverfield. I mean, you don't have a lot of wiggle room outside of that, right? Right. And those were just like the teams that I are ranked right now. Five ranked opponents. Few teams that are better than you. Year one. Not likely. Especially considering he brought over a bit from Memphis. He's at four and a half and not touching them, leaning under. I think they're going to be a lot more fun. I think they're scoring more points. I think they have a better chance of going over than Arkansas does. Because I think we'll sign just is going to be able to produce offensively. And if you've got SEC defenders, I can get things done and go ahead.

7:12But. Alabama. A&M. LSU. Oklahoma. Tennessee and Louisville. Six ranked opponents right now. That would mean that you would need to go what. You need to win. Five of your other six to get the over, right? Like it's. I don't know. It's. It's out there. Because I don't think you win any of those ranked games. Maybe one. Maybe you squeak out one. But those six losses. And then you have room for one more loss before you're at the limit. Not also by the name. Florida and Vandy. I think that best you split those. Which. Still get to four wins. Mississippi states that four and a half also. I'm thinking the over for them. Like I'm actually betting the over for them. Louisiana Monroe and Texas Tech are easy wins. Then you should. And at least three of your other.

8:13Nine game out of the other 10 games. And. You got matchups against teams like South Carolina, Missouri, Vandy, Auburn, Minnesota. They're in awkward spots or transitioning to a new coach or a new quarter back or in South Carolina. In this case, you have two offensive linemen that are maybe out for the year that's going to be really tough. And they're in year three. It's put up a shop time for Jeff Lovey here. And they play that offense that. You get that over time. Alabama. 8.58 and a half wins. I'm. Taken the under for Alabama. I am. I'm going to take the under. I might be wrong. I might be an idiot. Right. But. I don't know. I see them going. Eight and four there. You play Georgia Tennessee and MN LSU. And. I'm going to see probably win one of those right. Which by the way, if you don't, you're already at your under. I'm going to say probably one of those.

9:14Tennessee is probably the most likely one. But I also think there's a chance you lose to Vandy at Vandy or Auburn. Right. Auburn and Alabama. They're always just an insane. Insane. Game. So I'm going to take the under there for Alabama. And then we're going to finish the rest of the SEC when we get back with locked on Gators. The biggest stretch of the college basketball season is here. There's bracket busters of unforgettable moments that everyone's talking about the next day. Being there live for something like that. It was Saturday or Sunday.

11:18And some lines have shifted right like Florida shifted Florida started at six and a half. That's up to seven and a half. But now we've got like Tennessee was at six and a half. There's seven and a half. But Vanderbilt are going to start this one. And Vanderbilt went total set at six and a half. I'm skeptical. But I'm taking the over. They've got four top ranked opponents. Even if you lose all four of those, you can lose one more and still get your over. And I think they're better than. Most of the teams that they're going to play that aren't the ranked opponents. So I'm going to give Vandy their seven skeptical. I'm not betting it because I don't bet. I won't bet on the true freshmen starting quarterback. But skeptical. But I think they can do that one. Tennessee is at seven and a half. I'm leaning the over. I'm not going to bet it because the Tennessee. I hate them. I wouldn't put money on them. But I'm leaning that they're going to go over seven and a half wins.

12:19You got Texas, Alabama, A&M and LSU. Those are your types of opponents. Three of those are in Newland. You're probably going to win. I'm going to say you genuinely probably go. Either two in two or three in one in those. But I don't think you're going to get destroyed in Newland. Newland's a really tough place to play. They're an explosive offense. You got Jim Knowles as your DC now. You should be better, right? Even if you lose all four of those though. It's which again. Really don't think will happen. But it's tough to say that you lose many of the others, right? So I'm going to say I'm leaning over on Tennessee at seven and a half. But we'll see LSU's eight and a half. Leaning over there. Not betting them for the same reason. I've been in Tennessee Georgia. Hey, them. But LSU's eight and a half. Leaning over for them because you got Ole Miss. A&M, Alabama, Texas and Tennessee. Three of those five are at home. Your road schedule is not much.

13:21And Lane Kiffins Lane Kiffin. He wins, right? And now he's got. Insane resources is the only way to describe it. And they've got that. So leaning over there. Missouri is the next team at six and a half. Not touching them because it's Missouri. But leaning under there and by it's Missouri. I mean, like, oh, I hate them. I just mean I'm not touching it because I do think that there's. A bit of hesitancy there with. A good bit of potential consequences of their facing this year. They need to. Basically win out. Outside of those matchups. And we have no idea what we're really going to get from Missouri offense this year. I've mentioned it before, you know. The last time that Eli Drake with didn't have Kirby more calling place were him offensively. He was on the hot seat. So. I'm skeptical there. That's just nine and a half. Under.

14:21Still going to be really good, right? They are going to be really good. And maybe a cultural team. But last year they took way too long to. Just get guys going properly. And like we spent all year last year talking about. The things that they were doing. And it's like, oh, well, you know, I said the Ohio State laws outside of the. You lost to a four and eight Florida Gators team coach, but they didn't appear. I get it that this is a different year and there's a different team. It's the same coach that got your ass kicked by Billy Navier. That matters to me, right? It's still a tough schedule. Yeah, I'm going to say under nine and a half. Carolina six and a half under. I think everybody knows I don't respect this. I don't respect this half. The line is to effort or at least most of it. With the injuries on the offensive line. Parade that with. I don't know if they've really got the guys to develop a guy that could or sellers.

15:26To obviously as I just got as a sky high ceiling, but. Got to develop a pair that with Alabama Tennessee Oklahoma a and m Georgia and comes on your schedule. No, thank you. I'm out. Oklahoma's at seven and a half. It's a really tough schedule. I'm leaning toward the over. Top schedule. But I get I just look at. They should have a good defense. Still right. Brenvenables. So Brenvenables. There often should be more consistent. They invested a bit more in the offensive line. I did some good work in the portal. John mature back. But I bet that our bubble our buckle back as offensive coordinator. I think they push for a cultural plasma again. We'll see if they actually do that. And then Texas A and M eight and a half. Meaning the under Texas Oklahoma Tennessee Alabama LSU Arizona State. There's six really tough opponents. Doesn't leave a lot of room forever there for an eight and a half.

16:28Window. Yeah, I think I'm just going to outright take the under there. Honestly, and Marcel Reed is wildly inconsistent last year. So. Got to see it. Thanks for your lockdown Gators.
