2:09Tom, how are you? How are things? Tom Harden, I'm very much enjoying the upcoming short week I have for work. And it's not to mention the holiday today. And that's followed. Oh, you're looking to that in a minute. Yeah, I headed off to Texas on Thursday for some college football. Nice. I just wanted to start it off by seeing like a big 70 burger for the Sun Devils on Saturday night. Oh, that was beautiful. That was beautiful. It stayed for all 55 minutes of it with the short and fourth quarter. Nice. Did you know that was a rule talk? Because I did. I did not. I don't think anybody did. I know Coach Dillingham and Post-Gain Pommence said even he didn't know it was a thing that could be agreed to. Okay. Find out everything is better than having one second if you live in Michigan. But anyway, I'm not coming. I'm not going there. I'm not going there. You think yes you are.

3:09And Paul Horsing joined us from that big. Beautiful. No. No. Placial. No. A state. No. No. On the line of the New York. It's soon to be sold. Everybody waiting for it. Paul, did you take down the carbon dioxide monitor? Sitting right here, but that has no a state yet. You founded them because I've been told that it took a while to find it in the issue. No. Because there's no state. It's just. I heard you heard you're all a cop. After the other day, by the way, when we were talking. What helicopter? Yeah, you know, the one that was flying in the pick-up. Again, and I'll say this, the day I die. I could have Elon Musk's money. I'm never buying a helicopter because I'm never getting in one. Unless there's strapping, unless there's strapping me in for a Medevac app helicopter, I'm never getting in one by choice. Here's the thing though. You can own the helicopter just not use it personally. No. There you go. See, you could do that. I could, but I would. No. All right. Anyway, how are things on the island?

4:10It's my money on cleaning products. Yeah. Preferred products. Yes. Anyway, how are things on the island? It's small. How's the world? Slowly, I turn. Yeah. Just waiting. Waiting. I can't make paperwork going faster. Are you going to get it done before the end of the hockey season? God, I hope so. If I don't, I don't know how much longer I can do this because I probably wouldn't turn myself. If you make it this spring trip. Anyway, good stuff. Okay. In all seriousness, I want to start with a couple of things and then I want to get into this rule stuff that apparently was adopted. So it's official now. We'll get into that in a minute too. But what's your third school? He says, Arizona State finally made an announcement. State. Question mark. A statement. Question mark. I'm going to get to Tom's thoughts on this in a minute, but it was posted.

5:14It's kind of a well wishes to Matthew Mayich and came up what Friday night and on Instagram and Twitter. But interesting enough, there was no ability to comment. It just it seems to me it's awfully late for that unless something broke. So Tom, did anything break? Aside from our collective patients, I don't think so, but nothing, nothing monumentally new has come out over the weekend. You bring up the statement from the Center of a Hockey, the social media account. And I truly feel for the student who is the admin for that account having to have a deal with that. You know, rightfully so there are many, many people expressing their

6:14displeasure with how, you know, how long it's taken for a statement to come associated with the program. And you kind of you kind of wonder about the overall phrasing of it. I, you know, I've read through it a handful of times and I'm thinking myself, this is a little bit light that I would expect. Legal ease. Yeah, legal ease. You know, there's only so much that can be said. And there's, there's, but Tom, you know, this is, you know, this as well as I do. Data come out with that three weeks ago or two and a half weeks ago. We wouldn't be where we are now. Right. And, you know, it doesn't do anything to quell the speculation that still that is still swirling left and right. Well, I mean, let me give you a couple of things, though.

7:15And then, Second Ball, you can jump in on it. But I want to ask Tom a couple of things on it just for his opinion. And again, this is your opinion. This isn't something that you're putting out there. Fact in unless you have something. But to me, it looks like a settlement has been reached with the Mayage family. And why do I say that? Because uniquely or coincidentally, enough, this came out and immediately the attorney from of the Mayages quit talking. He was talking every single day multiple times. And anybody that would listen, all of a sudden, I haven't heard a word from him. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, now Monday. So that leads me to believe that maybe there is some quote-unquote settlement, which I hope has happened. And I want to preface before you answer about saying this. This is a young man that's fighting for his life, literally. He didn't ask for this. His family didn't ask for this. I don't believe Sunday, but hockey asked for this.

8:17It's an unfortunate accident. And I don't want to lose sight of the fact that there's a 21-year-old young man laying in a hospital, literally fighting for his life. So did you read it that way, Tom? Or is that just my opinion and I'm off base? I didn't see that in my initial read through. It wouldn't surprise me, but also bear in mind, yes, while news doesn't stop, it is still along holiday weekend. And that could be a factor in limited commentary throughout the weekend. Like, no, that's just how I'm looking at it. But both things could be true at the same time. So let me ask you this. Do you expect anything tomorrow back to work type day? I would expect to see something unknown what that something would be, but I would expect something,

9:19something ideally from the university. There is certainly scuttle but as far as who has what, and whether it's going to be something from the university themselves, or from other outlets who may have their sources that they've been working on the story. It's really hard to predict at this point. Okay, I've got two more things, Paul, then you can jump in. The first one is we had Derek's school year on last night and he brought up the fact, and I knew this. I just didn't really register with me with everything going on around this situation, but coaches have very limited access to their players due to NCAA rules for the first week or two. Correct? Yeah, and that's something that I was digging up a little bit as I was getting ready for this show and how currently while schools and while classes are in session,

10:20there's only eight hours of what are the track activity time that athletes are limited to, and only four of those hours can be considered on ice, work, the other four hours, or more if teams opt for less time on ice are limited to strength and conditioning. So even I didn't know just how just how few hours were available in the lead up to the season. I know that it expands greatly and as it should once the regular season starts, but I for one did not realize that I was capped at so few hours. Okay, so let me ask you this. Again, I don't know the details because nobody has said anything, but I looked at it and I said, do you think these off ice special, and I'm using air quotes on this special

11:23activity is like team bonding events, things like that might be run by other people other than the coaches because they don't want to jump in to that window of eight hours. So they hire somebody to come in that they know is going to do it or they in this case, they invite somebody in that they know is going to do it the way they want it, but yet they don't have to be there. And again, I don't know this. I'm just using this as something that popped into my head last night when we talk with Derek Schooly, that coach from Robert Morris. I think it depends on whether that time is tracked as far as coaches directly leading these activities, or if that time is counted as them being present, whether and whether a third party is doing the leading of these activities. I don't know the breakdown on that. That's just my counterpoint to what you're thinking of. If a coach is not directly involved, does it really count?

12:26I don't know those inner workings. That's just my line of thought there. Okay, and the final thing is we know that the Arizona State Police Department are doing a formal investigation of what happened to find the answers. I'm going to say this again. I've said it over and over again is I don't think there can be any criminal activity, at least from what I've heard, that would warrant an arrest or anything like that because I don't believe there was any malicious intent. I don't think coach powers wanted to injure any player. I don't think that the Green Beret that was running that wanted to injure any player. Now that being said, there can be some very edgy type things that could have led to something maybe, but goodness gracious, if you're talking criminal on this, and I'm not a lawyer, so I'll tell you that right up front.

13:28I know you guys thought I was, but anyway. No, I did not think that first. I did not think that at all. But anyway, you have to prove that in a court, beyond a reasonable doubt. I don't know what could possibly be out there, quote unquote, a smoking gun, that would point to something that would be a criminal offense that could be proven in a court of law. So one thing to keep in mind is this is standard practice for the university. Anytime that there is an incident such as this where there are where there is a, we'll just call this a blanket statement where there are injuries such as this. It is standard practice for the university police department to open their investigation. There will be undoubtedly some questions as to just how independent this is since it is a university body that is opening the investigation. I have heard that that Tempe Police Department has

14:30offered their assistance. I have no confirmation as to whether the university has accepted that offer or not. Okay, Paul, I'll let you rebut or whatever you want to do to it. I guess that this statement should have been made two and a half weeks ago. It would not have made it any less tragic, but it would not have made it seem like trying to hide something. And it's always the attempt to cover up to get you in trouble. I understand there's going to be lawyers involved and maybe you wanted to take a day or two to figure that out, but it shouldn't have taken two and a half weeks. I look at it from the lens of 30 years of being a visit teacher. For trouble, because you'd have to prove gross negligence, that's obviously not

15:31something criminal, but it could be civil if you could prove gross negligence. And obviously, I don't have enough information to say one way or the other, but I'm pretty sure that's how it's being looked at because nobody obviously went into this with the intention of having this happen. It's where you prepared for it if it happened. And is it within the bounds of normalcy that had happened? Did you go over? I don't know. Was it there? And I lied to you. I got one more comment that I want to get out there and let you guys both answer. I've lived in Arizona for 35 years. It's hot. It's always hot. I just have a real problem with this being just an air quotes again, a heat related activity. It seems to me that there has to be some

16:36sort of underlying circumstance around it. Then I'll tell you why. Because as we've talked about off air, there were another of other activities that went on at Arizona State at higher temperatures. Thomas is at a football game where I think it was over 100 the entire time or at least at the start with guys in pads and physical activity. So for somebody to come out and say what's only heat related. Okay, and I understand everybody's body is different. But you have what? 25 to 30 guys out on that training event as well. Call it, I guess. And only one person suffers some catastrophic like that. And then you have another sporting event that's played at the same time later in the week or whatever. I mean, to me, I just have a hard time and I wish somebody would come and tell me how do you know that? I know that. But how do you know this was heat related? And if it is

17:42such a dramatic heat related thing, then what in the heck am I doing out there at 64 years old? What am I doing running around? Why don't it's 107? Well, I think one other factor that isn't being adequately taken into consideration, apart from the heat and the fact that it was recorded at moderate heat index, bordering on that moderate to high-line. But people forget that there is the element of elevation in the Phoenix area. I believe that Arizona State University is the fourth highest school by elevation in Division I hockey after the Colorado schools, just over 1200 feet. It's not a major elevation change, but when you are looking at it from the scope of how many programs in the Midwest and in the Northeast are under a thousand feet. Many of

18:49them, you know, barely over 500 feet elevation, that can be a factor. Yeah, I'm not going to argue with you on that because that also can be a factor. But I think what also can be a factor is an underlying condition that wasn't seen within a particular person. I mean, I have the unfortunate or maybe call it fortunate, opportunity to go to a doctor this week for my condition, which I'll just want me to tell people, type 2 diabetes for 14 years. And I had an examination that I hadn't had in a while, and I had one here, and there were some surprising results that came in. And if I had tried to do something like that, so I mean, I guess what I'm not hearing on these things are, was there toxicology report? What did it say? Was there a physical at some point where somebody said, you know what, you're at risk here. You can't be in the

19:50heat, whatever. Those things are out there because I got a pretty, and I just went for, for basically an A1C check if you know what that is, as a diabetic. And they came back with a whole bunch of different things that they saw on my blood. Some were good, some weren't so good. But, you know, they gave me a roadmap, and I just want to know personally, I guess I don't even want to know. I just think that that's a pretty big blanket statement. If it was 117, and they were doing this, I would go like, yeah, that's insane. But it wasn't that hot. The femics related. I understand the heat indexes all that. But come on, man. I mean, I grew up in Minnesota, and we had football practices where the temperature was 90, and the humidity was 85. So, you know, I don't know. It just seems a bit odd to me that you could send 30 people out there in that temperature and only one struggle.

20:52And again, maybe more did. But you got to tell us if you want us to believe it. By the way, time you are writing is there for it. Actually, I was just fact checking myself. Augustana Duluth and Bemidji are both are all three at slightly higher than ASU, but all in the in the 12 to 1500 range. I think the search engine machine that I'm using here is wrong. Good. First of all, you know how to use the search engine? No, obviously not. Let's go back to cleaning. Well, yeah. I'm going to get the right supplies. Anyway, so I just wanted to throw that out there. I wish, and I hope that at some point in time, this comes out because if I am a father of an incoming freshman next year, the year after, and I live in Canada, and it's pretty mild temperatures, do I say, from where I'm at, I don't know.

21:59I'd like to know before I send my kid into it if that's really the case. And I just find a hard time with that being the standalone thing that was heat related and only heat related. So, anyway, that's just my two cents in this thing. I'm again, we're all speculating because nobody's told us anything. Nothing's come out. And I guess that would help if people made some announcements. But the number one thing on this is a young 21-year-old is still battling for his life and probably will never be the same if he survives this incident. And that's number one. And number two is, if you're going to have criminal charge of any sort, you got to have some sort of proof that there was intent. And I just am having a hard time finding that too. And how it's going to end up, I think you can go anywhere from the head coach being fired, suspended or reprimanded. I think goes to the three. Tom,

23:04are my clothes on that? I think that's pretty much the options that are there on the table. Yeah. And I think the longer things go, it probably looks like, you know, maybe things are going to get settled here, so to speak, not including Matthew's health, but maybe in the legal department. And if I were, and I will be, focusing on what said this week, is there announcements from ASU again? Is there the attorney from Matthew Mayach and his family? Will they come out and say something more? It's going to be interesting. But like you say, Tom, it was kind of a Friday news dump as we like to say in media that they brought this all up. So anyway, I don't have any more on that topic unless you guys do. Not for me. All right, let's move on. There is a lot of, what's this rules thing? Can anybody tell me when was this rules thing settled and decided and who decided it?

24:06Who was involved in it? Let's start with that. Do we know? All I'm seeing is like, the rules, all I'm seeing is it's a list of rule proposals that were put out at the end of May, but I don't see like the, I don't see when they were officially put into place, but I see a list of some changes that are coming to on ice play. Well, also it was late May early June, but we haven't really gotten to it. There's some very interesting rules. It's different things as they try to more closely mirror the NHL rules, some of which I like, some of which I don't want. All right, I told you guys that we started off just kind of bound some back and forth. So either one you want to start off with one of them and we'll discuss it, then we'll move on to another one. I'll start. I don't care. I don't like the trapezoid nonsense. I just don't.

25:10That's the one I was going to lead in with as well, because I know you hate it. If you have a goalie, they can play the part. Why are you taking away that advantage from the team? I understand this is the Martin Brogdor rule, but so what? Okay. If you're a team, first of all, considering that the way they teach goalies to play now, they might as well not even have a step. Okay, and if you watch most goalies, most of them don't know how to handle the puck. I want a goalie to handle the puck because I can force that goalie into mistakes. This trapezoid nut, I didn't like it when they did the NHL. I don't like it now. I still don't like it. I don't like it being a challach. Yeah, I'm really not a fan of it either. I think it unnecessarily chops the play in the defensive end. You're leaving goalies open to, if a goalie can't handle the

26:20puck, then that's on him. But then goalies sit in the trap waiting for the puck to get there. And a bad hop on the board and hops over a sec, you know, that creates a whole mess as well. I just never been a fan of the trap in the first place. I agree with both you guys, but let me throw this caveat in there. We talk about how close the NCAA is to being a feeder system. Air quotes again. I'm using a lot of them for the NHL. So is this something that that people wanted because it allows guys to get comfortable with it before they go to the NHL? I understand. Well, as Derek's school, he said elsewhere. Most places have the trapezoid rule in place. And I'm not saying I don't understand why they have the rule. I just don't like it. Okay. Okay. A rumor has it. It doesn't like you either. Well, there's a lot of things and a lot of people don't like me.

27:27But that's not news either. Okay. I just, again, you're taking, if you have a goalie that can play the puck, why are you taking away my advantage because you have one that doesn't or can't? Yeah. Not just too bad. Yeah. Good point. All good points. All right. Tom, what's the next one that you want to bring up? I've got a couple of, a couple of timing-related rules. Okay. These go hand in hand with each other. First one is there will now be a uniform one time out per regular season games. So previously, teams would receive a new time out at the start of overtime in the regular season. That's going away. It's one time out for the entire 60 minutes of regulation plus the five on five overtime, or three on three overtime. Sorry. Postseason games receive no change. There will still be a refresh time out at the start of

28:33the overtime periods. Hand in hand with that rule is, the teams can now no longer call a time out if a player is trapped on the ice. We saw that most commonly when gold tenders lost skate blades. Teams would need to use the time out so the goal could get off the ice and get a new blade. Also cannot use the time out to get a one-change following an icing infraction. Oh, first of all, I do like the no calling it time out if you can't get a line changing. I do like that. I think you're, you're, it was something that we obviously commonly gotten used to. But I do like the fact they are changing that. I will say if there's a problem because somebody had an equipment issue.

29:42I mean, the goalie has an equipment. Let him get a skate blade changed. I mean, I don't know why you had to force a team to goalies are not going to sit there and take their skate blade off their skate to get a time out so players can rest. If you do that, actually save more power to you if you're that good. I mean, I'll be funny though, wouldn't it? If something got a trick skate blade. I mean, we know that guys have figured out ways to knock their own masks off. You know, they don't, they're not as good at getting away with knocking the net off the more is the more is anymore. But I mean, I said as far as the stuff with the icing is in concern, I'm all for that.

30:42Yeah, you know, you don't you want to be able to get a line change, then just don't nice the puck. Simple as that. To skate the puck just across center ice, dump it in change. Is it right? No, yes, because it happens all the time that they don't do it. They just get lazy. And I don't think and I always tell people this one. I was coaching junior varsity in high school. The number one thing that drove me crazy was not using your blue line to your advantage, both blue lines. Give it outside the blue line. At least make them start over. Don't give it to them two feet inside of it. Yeah, you got to win those battles. Anyway, I digress Paul. You got another one? Well, here's one that is not official yet. And I think again, we can all agree that this is the way they are officially recommending cut resistant equipment for the neck, wrist and ankle for the start of the season.

31:53Before it becomes mandatory for next season, the 27 28 season. And I mean, I don't know how you can be like, yeah, we don't like that. But just the people know and you know, they're kind of phasing it in. So players can get you know, fine stuff that they like and get used to it. I assume there's a reason why they did that. But I can't see anybody being against that, right? No, it's a player safety thing for one. I mean, look, you know, it's a no brainer to me. Absolutely. All right. Paul Tom, who's got the next one? I don't know. Another one that this one I'm kind of, you know, a little bit on the fence about. Hand passes will now be permitted strictly within a team's defensive zone. It's not hand puck that you know, the game's not called hand puck. It's it's called hockey.

32:58I don't know. I think that this is, to me, it strikes me as a rule change for the sake of just changing something. And it just doesn't, I don't know, it doesn't sit right with me. I'll have to see how it, you know, see how it unfolds as the season season goes along. But I'm not a fan of this one. No, this kind of, this makes me, I make it say this makes it like for foreign stuff. It's like, I agree. I get, I mean, you still can't close your hand on the pot. All right. I mean, I guess you can bat it towards a player. I get the point of it. But it's just, I guess it's just weird because this is a,

34:02a change in the rules to favor the defense. And how often do we see that? Yeah, not often, not often. Usually they're trying to change things to, to increase the offense. This would seem to go against that. But so I'm not a big, again, I'm not a big fan. I agree with Tom. I don't know if that should scare Tom. Or it kind of does a little bit. It should scare you a lot. It would be a great lot of stuff. I didn't. I mean, anybody that agrees with me even one more than once should really be worried because that's, well, it's even scarier when I say at first and you don't have a rebuttal to it. I guess I see that, I guess that's on me then because I guess I just have to come up with something

35:05that rebutts you just because. Just be prepared to go against everything I say. It just probably is better that way. By the way, you guys both use the same preferred cleaning materials. I don't know. I didn't spend that much time in the house. So you know, whatever's cheap. Yeah, well, apparently I don't use anything. Again, like I said, you still can't close your hand on the pop. So you can't grab it, throw it. And you're not going to really want to stick your hands out. But you can't catch it and drop it, which is that what I know. But that's always been weird to me that closed in hand on the buck and you catch it. Your hand, by the way.

36:05But you know, I'll say this and Tom, just I hate to do this because you're probably going to agree with you. Doing that is a rule that definitely gets skirted. It's like left handed pictures throwing over the first base. Most of them are just flat out box. They don't call it. Okay. And the proof of that is at one time they put a white line on the mound to prevent the left handed pictures from going too far. And they got rid of it instantly because they were calling a ball. Almost every left handed picture. So technically you still can't really catch the pop. You kind of catch it momentarily and drop it. Like I said, they're kind of skating the rule. But so it's not really like I said, it's just it's kind of that's the analogy that I can come up with a left handed move to first base.

37:10See, I've always seen it kind of like the like the transfer play at second base on a on a double play where the middle infielder questionably brushes his foot over the over the base. You know, that's kind of how I see it. And you know, when a player is catching the puck in the air, it's like, is it truly a cradle and dropping it down or is there closing on the on the puck? It's a foogazzy. You don't really know what it is. Exactly. But you just kind of kind of go with it as long as it's not overly egregious. Right. Exactly. That's clearly acceptable levels of both cheating. And well, we can ask Mike, Mike Schmidt about that. Since he's a director of officials for the NCH. Anyway, let's move on. Can we talk face offs? Because what's going on in the face off circle?

38:11Well, I'll go ahead. So previously, there was a little bit of varied rules on who had to get their stick down first. All that sort of thing. Now the rule is the new rule for 2627. The defensive player must have their stick down first at all face off dots except for center ice, which that one I'm on board with. Neutral zone, depending on whose side of the center line, the face up is coming on. Keep it consistent. In you know, keep it consistent across the board. Center ice, we'll see how that goes as a who has to go down first. If it's a signal from the from the refereda saying,

39:12hey, you go down first, you go down second, whatever the case may be. But I like keeping it consistent across the board here. I agree. I totally like that idea. And also didn't they talk about drifting into the face off circle? You got to be set. You can't drift in like a lot of guys like to, to essentially offensive guys, they'll they'll stay slightly out and then they'll start their movement towards the drop puck. Was that was I just dreaming that? You might have been just dreaming on that one. I haven't seen anything about that, but a little bit of clarification I got for the for the center ice face off and it will always be the visiting team that puts their stick down first. Good. Good stuff. Bon. Do you want to go on the face? Absolutely. Well, they also, if I have my reading of this is correct, they have to have the blades of their sticks down. It can't be moving. They actually literally have to be flat on the ice.

40:16So you can't that's the read I'm getting to. So to me, that's you know, that is going to make the face off a little bit more interesting. I think that it's going to anger the fans, especially in the beginning. Oh my god. Oh yeah, it's going to anger the fans. It's going to it's going to the players are going to have to get it. You're going to have people people already yell at the referees with face offs. I think this is going to be. Let's clarify that. That's the lines.

41:16When the referees would yell at you, the lines. Yeah, that is correct. That's true. That is true. They already think that the lines are like trying to get TV time. We don't stop it anyway. Do we have any more on the rules side, Tom? Yeah, updating the off sides rule to align more with the NHL. Now, in the case of if a player skates enter the attack and zone ahead of the puck, the play will be ruled on side. The puck is completely under control on that player's stick. Again, this is one that that I do like for the sake of consistency. Off sides is a very hot topic.

42:17Very hot topic when it comes to in-game reviews as we've seen with off sides challenges. If only they would update the off sides rule in both the NHL and NCL play to put a time limit on how long the coach can challenge for off side because I don't want to see three minutes of zone time on that. And then go back and challenge on something that if you've already made a line change, if you've already swapped some guys off while the puck is in play, it's like what are we even doing here? But now, I like this update to bring it in line with NHL standards. There's that line again. There's that line again, lining yourself with the group ahead of you, the conference or the teams or whatever. The leagues, how about that? The league ahead of you. 44:34The topic here is, I believe as you sent it over to me, it's phrased as no return in three on three over time. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. And what that means is and a team in the offensive zone cannot clear the zone, regroup in, you know, regroup at center ice and then re-enter the zone. Again, that's one that I don't like it. I don't know. It, to me, it unnecessarily compresses the flow of overtime. It's already quick enough as it is with with so much open space. But if you're confined to the offensive zone once you enter and don't have the ability to clear, get fresh legs on the ice, I'm not a fan of that.

45:35Okay. Well, hold on one second, then you can explain it, Paul. So my thoughts on that originally were, well, okay, that's a good idea. And then I started thinking kind of like what Tom's saying. And what are they going to do? They're going to blow the whistle and have a face off. And then if they do that, are you able to change players? Do we know any of that? And is this still speculation or is this actually a rule change? Well, that's an effect. They are experimenting with this. And this is why I brought up because especially now that, you know, people were paying, at least college hockey people, paying a little bit more attention to the CHL. They're experimenting with this in the Western hockey. Jack is apparently, they don't like the idea of all the ends and outs and up and down. I would say, Tom, you can open on this. I like the idea and the thought process.

46:39What I would say though is don't use the blue line. Use the red line. If it opens up to the red line, then I'm more on board with that. If you're, if you're coming down to just that third of the ice from the blue line in, I think that's a little bit too aggressive. Now this does, wait, this pilot program with WHO does allow for the caveat of, you know, if a, if a defending player, you know, pokes the puck away and it goes out of the zone by no fault of the offensive player, then this role would not be invoked. But there can't be any deliberate exit of the zone by an offensive player. You know, hypothetically, if an offensive player shoots the puck off the board into the neutral zone and one of his teammates picks up the puck, the play would immediately be whistled down if if a teammate picks up is the next to touch the puck.

47:45Yeah, see, and I think that that's, they're going to find that's why I think I like the idea of the red line better than the blue line. And also Paul to add some clarity to your question on that. A violation would result in a face off in the defensive zone of the offending team with no line change permitted. That's what I was going to ask. That's severe penalty. Because that's it is. Of in the attacking zone for the, for the non-offending team. Anyway, so that let's just clarify for people listening that are jumping in. That is not an NCAA rule. It is not at this point. That's a WHO experiment. The other things though, let's clarify this as well. Are they absolute now? They're, they've been voted on, approved. And they are in play or it's, they're still more, quote unquote, approval process. No, as far as, no, these are things that are coming straight from

This is bringing hockey back to Lambo Field for the first time since 2006 and will be a double header starting off today will be the Wisconsin and Ohio State women's teams and the night cap will be Michigan and Wisconsin. 55:15piqued my interest at at Lambo Field getting there getting their crack at an outdoor game. If, if the NHL won't go there then I'm glad the NCAA is. Yeah. I think anybody will be paying more attention to that Michigan Western Michigan game. After what just happened this past weekend you think they're going to double check the clocks. That was already announced that it would be going on a temporary hiatus owing to scheduling obligations. Uh, hence why Arizona State is scheduled to play in the, uh, in the quick trip classic in December. That being in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, by the way. Um, there's also a tournament going on in its third year now, I believe, in Palm Springs. Hosted by, I always love this.
