Potty training, weaning & what the heck is a wellness darty?!

About this episode

This week on Two Parents & A Podcast, happy Wednesday!! It's a big day of kid updates: we officially tripped and fell into potty training Tate.. no method, no timeline. Harrison bought a little toilet when she started getting curious, we left it there, and she started using it when it felt right for her (removing the pressure has been the whole magic!) Meanwhile Rocky is in a sleep regression (idk, we feel like we just call everything a regression??), and Alex is weaning off of breastfeeding and shares it all: the decision tree, how she's doing it, and the emotional part nobody warns you about.. All of which turns into one of our favorite convos we've had: when did you know you could trust your parental instincts? But before all that: Harrison's big tennis night!! Alcaraz vs. Shelton raised the real question: would you stay at a sporting event until 3:33 AM?! (we can't decide)… Plus the new iPhone might be FOLDABLE?! (and as of the time that Jules is writing this, it's officially announced!!) We debate whether Apple is giving us something we didn't ask for, or something we don't know we need yet. Then Harrison has his eyes on two new movies: we're getting a Social Network-style movie about Sam Altman ("Artificial".. we are SO in) and a Nathan Fielder documentary where he spends 34 days with Elizabeth Holmes before she reports to prison?! (WOW) And in THINGS WE DMED EACHOTHER: are heists BACK? Someone stole $70K of PBR and Harrison workshops the marketing opportunity live (a heist experience at the Pabst Mansion.. you're welcome, PBR), college kids are throwing WELLNESS parties now (meanwhile in 2016 we were dancing on tables lol), and the Girl Scouts dropped a new cookie that is.. not for humans?! (those girls really know what they’re doing…) Hope everyone is having a great week :-) LOVE YOU GUYS! Okay, here's some Z-s. So, a couple things, big thing happened while we were asleep. Do you know what happened while we were asleep? Ah, no. First reign. In- In- In- In- In- In- In- In- In- In- In- In- In- In- In- In- In- In- So, last night? Oh, the captain talks us tenis, for those listing things. I was so excited, okay? I had a little evening by myself, supposed to be with Rocky and me, and we were gonna watch a great tennis match, okay? We were gonna watch Al Cress versus danceshaft, and I talked about Dance advential answer. So, the guy is the best, real character. Long story short— the matches beforehand all ran super long, T4thyle had like a 5- a match, a thriller, beat another American, and Pagula had a big comeback win in other American

and Long Story Short. No, it's Long Story Long, honey. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. This match, it starts at 11 p.m. Eastern. Long Story Short, I'm sure. It finished at 3.30 in the morning. Oh wow. Wow. Yeah. Eastern time for our time. 3.30 Eastern, the latest finish ever. Did people stay? Well, I haven't even watched the recap. I just saw what happened. They won. It went to five sets. Wow. And it was seven six. It went to the, like, it went as far as you can go. So if you're there, okay, so today's the Wednesday. So it's a Tuesday night. Are you staying? Till 3.30? It is the Markey match. That's the Markey match of the tournament. But the problem is like you're getting there, you've probably got there like six to seven p.m. And you're getting home at 4.35. If you live in the city, let's call it. So if I have traveled to this game,

I'm staying no question. And that's like the most electric thing ever. If I live in New York and just went for fun and I have work at 8 a.m., that's tough. Yeah. It's tough, but YOLO, like, I don't know, truly, truly, you only live once. Yeah. I don't know, I'm torn. Who won? So Shelton won. Wow. So the US Open, we have the makeup of a great weekend here. So semi-finals is Shelton versus TFO to Americans. So we're guaranteed in American in the final. And then the other side of the tournament, like I didn't even know who these guys are. So like one of them is like the number one rank German. But I said, I don't, is Vav or something? But I didn't know them. So, you know, all eyes will be on, I'll watch the American semis. And then be sure for the American in the finals. And then the woman side is setting up to be awesome. You had Pagula win last night. She's taking on Sebalanka, who's number one in the world.

And I think it's one like 18th Street matches. She won the US Open in the past two years. But it's on the other side of the bracket. Very exciting dynamic. So Coco Gough, whoever loves. Yeah, people love Coco. Assuming she plays today. The person that she's gonna play is ranked number two in the world. What people don't really realize is she's Russian. She now plays under the Kazakhstan flag. But was born in Russia. So we are getting a Russia US semifinal potentially. And that means a hockey player? Isn't that like a hockey thing? The Russia US rivalry is like a big thing. In tennis or sports and so on. Oh, so to get see it in tennis. What else beside hockey? Well, that's it all started hockey. Yeah, that's why I say. This is juicy. Yeah, Miracle nice. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Speaking of, you asked this question.

What would be the first sports movie that you would show your child? It has to be Mighty Docs. Why does it have to be Mighty Docs? For me, for me. Space jam. I love space jam. I love space chip. Mighty Docs. It. Are they we are the ducks? The mighty, mighty ducks? Is that them? Don't think so. Oh, well, there's also bring it on. Bring it on. Bring it on. Bring it on. I was watching that when I was like nine. There's if you watch as an adult. Is some stuff going on? Yeah. Like some major stuff. Really. I think my favorite sports movie all the time is probably remember the Titans. Yeah. It's a good one. What about airbud? Love airbud. For a first kid movie, great one. Yeah. I think if you're going to show them remember the Titans. That's in the camp of like Seabiscuit. That is a very serious movie. Seabiscuit is very good.

Seabiscuit incredible. I watched it pregnant. Whenever we were in. That was when I was in fact I was in baby ducks cause growing up hockey was such a big part of my life. That would be my. Here, why don't you pick it with one kid and I'll pick it with the other kid? When I was in high school, we were at state. What? I mean, aion. What did you say? You pick it with one kid, I'll pick it with the other one. Then you said something else in the mic. You said ignored. Ignored. Oh. So it truly was ignored. No, no, no, no. Well, I didn't hear you. I heard the part before that. When I was in high school. We were in state volleyball. And we were in the semi finals, I think my coach, he said, we're going to watch C-Biscuit. And I was like, because you have a really, really long time, right? Like, we had played in the morning and then he wanted us to do something good, take our minds off the game until we played at night. We went and saw C-Biscuit and on the way there, I was like, why are we going to watch a movie about biscuits? Like, I thought it was the stupidest thing ever. And it now is one of my favorite movies. I was, I, absolutely loved it. And it was such a good story

to watch in the middle of that. Another big thing happening today. Do we know what's happening today? No. Big announcement today. Give us a hint. Okay. Now we got it, we got to be tricky with it. Or we got to be careful with it because by the time this episode comes out, the announcement should have already happened. Okay, hold on. Welcome back to another episode of two parents in a podcast. Thank you for listening. And if you're listening, like, like and subscribe and send it to a friend. We love you guys. All right, what's the announcement? She's already happened. Oh, what is it? Give us like a hint. Like, are we in finance? Are we in space? It happens every year around this time of year. I know. So I can't guess what? What's the date September night? Every September, we typically get this. Not Groundhog Day. You said like four funny things already this episode. Oh, thanks. Jules and Harrison is the last one of them.

I don't know, tell me. Or give me a hint. Okay, I'll give you a hint. Without your phone, that's the hint. Oh my gosh, are they releasing a new phone? It is speculated that Apple is going to announce the new phone today and the new phone will be a foldable phone. No way. No way. It's about time they spice things up. Should we place bets? Not bets. Yeah. I think it's. I think it's. I think consensus is that it's going to be foldable. Foldable. Who's guessing that? Who leaked? And $2,000. Would I saw online was that I saw that face those I want to go back to that face. Because it's a very valid face. The price of the phone? The price of the phone. Yeah. The shock reaction to the price is a valid shock reaction. But I'm going to do some spins on math. You're going to grow mathless here? Okay. I didn't want to call it that. You don't want to. If you're going to make a case for a toothbrush that we touched twice a day at $500,

this is going to be the easiest case you've ever made. So I used to delay getting a new phone. And then you met me a friend of mine. What he told me is he said, assuming you get a new phone every two years, look at the cost of that phone on a per day basis. So, yeah, while this one is very expensive, a $2,000 a year, it is called $3 a day. If you're going to use that phone for two years. And considering it's your most used item, like I get it super expensive. When you look at it on a per day basis on a per-use basis, it's probably the best use of money on a consumer good that you can spend, other than flock chickens' knives. Okay. I agree with that. What is an example of something you use more than your phone? I don't think anything. Maybe a car, I guess. But I wanna bring this back to something. I wanna get our take on the foldable phone.

Because, and do I wanna go first here? Well, you're thinking about it? Because my take is, I feel like they're giving us something. Like my gut would be they're giving us something that we didn't ask for. Because foldable phones have been around for many, many years. Well, they gave us something that we didn't ask for with the first iPhone. But I trust Apple. And I trust that they're gonna nail this. So this is a perfect example of them giving me something that I didn't know I needed. That's my prediction. I'm so mad you at first. And to take it back two episodes ago, while Tim Cook has now stepped away as CEO. Timmy Apple. This is. So they call them. You know, the last big product launch that he had his hands on. Yeah. I don't think he would be stepping it away and introducing this.

If, and he would have given the sign off, if there was any chance it was gonna flop. Well, I actually now that you're saying that, I think this is parting gift to the world. Yeah. Like I actually think this is gonna be incredible. But the two things I was gonna say, number one, I trust Apple. Number two, they're giving us something we didn't know we needed, which they did with the first iPhone. We didn't, we couldn't imagine it. And I'm down for them to mix it up a bit. I'm just like, well, how, what are we doing with cases here? Like, I remember my friend, John Lee, otherwise known as John Wauke Lee. Wauke. J-O-N-G, space W-O-K, Lee. That's his career name. John Wauke Lee. John Wauke Lee. Okay. He's from South Korea. Yeah. You call him John. Or have you been calling him John the whole time? Oh. I mean, I know John Lee with the J-O-H-N. Same guy. But you're calling him John? I call him John Wauke. But is it? Like in text. But in Canada, do you guys call him John? Most people call him John, but his friend, like, if you were to introduce himself to you,

you'd probably introduce himself as John. But his, like, his friends call him John Wauke. Okay. Yeah. So. I'm really love it. I love it. He was the first guy I knew to ever get an iPhone. Oh. And we trolled him so hard. And yeah, he was right. He was, he was the visionary of it. Now he also switched to Android very, what? And we didn't, we didn't make the book, but I'll let him go. Well, yeah. Well, he's what's today. Why, why would you switch to Android? But he's, but he's back on hold on. He's back on the iPhone. He's back. I think they're better. Better. I don't know. I think the tools, they are fully better. I'm, that's why you would switch. I think that the tech of the, like, but why, then why can they not corner the market? Like Apple did. Okay. He has the blue check mark still. So he's back on the iPhone. Never mind. Sorry, John. Why, if the Android, and I think the Google Pixel phone, I think they're like objectively better than the iPhone. Why, why has Apple corner the market?

It reminds me of Blackberry. Barry, Blackberry. Do you remember, and the whole thing Blackberry is BBM. And I would not move away from Blackberry because of BBM. Was that where you guys are on this trainer now? What was the BBM? Blackberry Messenger. So basically, it was, it's internal messaging system. You would get a check mark on delivery. And it's very much like the iMessage. Which you can, which you can iMessage on Wi-Fi, which is unbelievable. Does Android have the equivalent of that? No, but I think that that, I think that's created a massive, or that's created massive friction, friction and transferring phones. Yeah. Okay, guys, our entire team here on this two parents and a podcast, we have a new obsession and it's cure. And we need it in Austin. It is September and it is still 100 degrees out here. Sorry to talk about the weather. I know we're not doing that. But plain water, it's not cutting it anymore for any of us. Cure is an electrolyte mix and here's why we love it. It's coconut water and pink Himalayan salt doing the work.

There's no sugar. No added sugar. No artificial sweeteners. Nothing you can't pronounce. You can flip the packet over and actually read the ingredients, which is not something I can say about all of the competitors. And you guys, it tastes like actual fruit. It's not too sweet. It's not too salty. There's no artificial aftertaste that's happening, which is honestly the hardest part to get right in the electric with the electrolytes. And they absolutely nailed it. If you've ever wondered what is in Jules's giant peak water bottle while we're recording, it's cure. Her favorite is the blood orange. And she's recently gotten really into the tropical punch as well. Harrison and I, we are obsessed with the lemonade right now. Like I actually cannot get enough of it. And I'm going to, I split my packet up. I have part of it in the morning and the other part of it in the afternoon. And if you have no idea where to start, there's a variety pack so you can try a bunch of the flavors and find your favorite one. Cure is the electrolyte mix. I've started reaching for daily with cleaning ingredients and nothing artificial. It's become easy to stay hydrated. Find it on Amazon or save 20% at curehydration.com

with code two parents. OK, I'm going to move us along here, ladies and gentlemen. We have a great episode today. Number one, let's just do like some kid things because for some reason, even though we recorded on Monday, a million things it feels like it happened with the kid since then. We are, we're like not potty training tape, but we're potty training tape. And the way we did it was Harrison got a little pink and white toilet. You talk about this. You've kind of taken the lead on it. I think we, well, I don't know what we want to call that. I think we tripped in foul into potty training. Well, you did order the toilet. I ordered the toilet. And I ordered the toilet because two reasons. One, I knew eventually we were going to potty train. Yeah. And two, like, I ordered it when she started paying attention to the bathroom and what was going on. Yeah, she baked that at P.P. Like she was interested in what was going on in the bathroom. And like long story short, she, she's, yeah,

she started using the toilet. No, that's, you can't do that on this. Like, so, OK, so you got the toilet. OK. And then she would be, she will at first, she would sit on it with like her clothes on. And then she would just bake tape P.P. And like, yes, that's where you P.P. But we didn't push it. We just wanted to see her interest level in it. Now recently, she's wanted to start like taking her a diaper off and sitting on the toilet. And without like getting into it too much, we've had some very successful, very successful bathroom runs. And we keep it in our bathroom downstairs. And what we've done is if she, if she goes to the bathroom, we have a party afterwards. Like we jump up and down, we do high fives, we like dance. And it's become, it's really, really, really cute. She's just thinking about two times today. And she's staying in her diapers. But we're just getting her familiar with what it feels like to use the toilet. What else say is this all comes up? My mom was here this weekend when she saw what was going on

with the toilet. She said that if she didn't see it, she wouldn't believe that. Yeah, so like if you tried, if you called me and told me that you were doing this, because I think that what we're not, what we're not doing is like, we don't have a time when we want to take out of diapers. We're actually, her being in diapers is quite convenient. But we know eventually, like your mom says, no one goes to seventh grade in diapers. We know eventually she'll be out of the diapers. And so instead of doing like a weekend at home with no diaper, where she runs around and like learns that to pee on the floor and things, not learns to. But has accidents, we just thought we would do it this way and see what happened. Yeah, so that's how we tripped and fell into party training. We bought it, we left it there and she started using it when the time felt right for her. But she'll probably stay at this stage for a bit. She'll stay at this diaper, this hybrid, this diaper toilet hybrid for a long time. And then one day we'll just be like, okay, no more diaper. Tate doesn't, the way I'll probably say it is,

no diaper for tape, no for mama, no for data. Rocky keeps his diaper and then we'll explain to her the toilets and we need to get the foldable toilet you can take on the go. That's a big one. So here's my prediction. My prediction is she's just gonna start using it more and more and more because she likes using it and she realizes it's a lot more comfortable to use it than not. And I think she's kinda gonna leave the charge on that. That's what I think. I have a question. Peace out on him. Are you going to get those little potty and put them in every bathroom in the house or is she just using the one bathroom? Is there anything behind that? That's a great question, Jules. What are you talking about having last night in our bedroom? Oh yeah, we were upstairs and she was like, take potty and here someone's like, do we take you, do you wanna go upstairs or downstairs and she pointed down, she wanted to go to her toilet. Cause I think that our toilets to scale for her, they're massive. Right. So I think she really likes, cause she likes to do things herself.

So I think we're gonna need at least one upstairs and one downstairs. Okay. There's also this type of toilet. It's unbelievable. It's thicker than the iPad but it folds down like this. You can throw it in the stroller in the back of your car and then you pop it down and they can sit on it when you're on the go. If they still don't wanna use the adult toilets out and about, it's pretty cool. So we gotta get that too. Maybe not yet. But it's kind of the type of this process that I'm trying to avoid. Like I'm very pro convenience, very pro, like. Okay, so what do you wanna do? Like when we're at the coffee shop, you wanted to go to the real bathroom. I think that when she transitions fully away from diapers, hopefully she can just use the real bathroom. Okay. I don't know, but I don't know how far away she is from that. I don't either. But I'm down to like, here's what I've liked so far. We have just followed our gut and we're just kinda like seeing how it goes and there's no pressure. Like when you remove one thing that's so nice with kids is when you remove the pressure around,

like if she's gotta be potty trained in a month. Just like, yeah, or not. Right? 100%. Like technically she's off bottles, but sometimes when she really wants the bottle, we're like, you know what? You can have the bottle today because why not? Because Rocky's having one and it doesn't make any sense. You're not even two yet. So you can have the bottle too. And it's not so rigid in our household. Kever bottle this morning and she probably had a barely half a set. She wanted to make sure that she could get it. I will say one on two is a lot. Yeah, so speaking of, Harrison had to do one on two this morning because Rocketman. Well, you did the night shift. It's wrecking me these past two nights. So two nights ago, he was up every hour. One 16, two 16, three, and it was weird. It was always the 16 because I was checking the time to see he inherited your superpowers. He did, he knew. It's like one hour cry and I'm like, okay, Rocky. Last night he did midnight three, but at three, he did just take the passie.

Sometimes I'm trying to put the passie back and then I'll try to go back to bed and see if he'll just keep the passie in his mouth or sometimes he spits it out and he keeps crying. So he only drank a bottle at midnight in five, but he did need some attention and I held the passie in there and rubbed them a little bit around three. So last night was a lot better. Where we need to get back to was we had him sleeping seven to eight hours. People call it a regression. It there's always a regression. We took his arms out of the snow. Yes, that's right because, okay, so two nights ago, I was like, we can't do that. Like, why is he waking up every hour? I think he's waking up every hour. He's in the snow. He's really like, you velcro their arms down. He's extra swaddled. Cause he's rolling now. I don't know if we've talked about that before. Rocky Roll, yeah. Yeah. Okay. And he's like super rolling now though. I mean, he's gone it down and he's proud of it. He whips that leg around. He like looks at you and he's like, I rolled and I'm like, I saw that, Rocky, it was awesome. He flips his legs out.

He does, he's so cute. And then he, we were like, I said, maybe he, okay. Sorry, I'm trying to remember this. So the five o'clock wake up two nights ago, I said, you just don't seem comfy. So I took him with me and I put him on my chest and he like passed out. But I noticed the position he really wanted to be almost laying on my chest and he loves to nap face down. And the snow, you're strapped face up. So I was thinking maybe now that he can roll, he's just not comfy in this snoop. But the way to transition out of the snow is not just one day. You have to go from strapping their arms down to putting their arms out. So last night he had his arms out and he did great with it. So we could probably do a couple more nights of arms out and then I don't know, maybe Rocket Man's going to his crib sooner than Tate did. Tate made it six months in the snow and then did her crib. But Rocky's appearing to go faster than that. I'm also weaning in another news in the baby world.

What? We'll have a question on that. Oh, on what weaning or Rocky? I'm weaning. Okay. How can we talk through that, the process, the decision tree? You know what? The decision to make it. The decision to stop pumping and breastfeeding? Yeah, it became, it finally became sort of a burden. Like I wasn't looking forward to it anymore. And I did the math like for two years and nine months, I have was pregnant. Then immediately after pregnant I was pumping and breastfeeding, then to the month, to the week that I stopped, I got pregnant again. And now I've been pumping and breastfeeding again. And I think my body would like a break, knowing that we would God willing like to have a third kid. I'm just like, don't do it back to back again, Alex, because you need that break in there where you're not waking up every day and pumping or breastfeeding or having the let downs. And it's not constantly in your mind. And I think there's a lot too when you stop pumping and breastfeeding, hopefully I'll get a little more energy.

And I think it's just this added mental load that I'm looking forward to just, I'm just saying, you know what? I'm not doing it anymore. And it's just a gut decision. And I've always said that's what I would do. My goal was three months, I made that. With tape, my goal was six months and I went to a year and that's like how I always do things. And I'm just like, stop. Judit phenomenal. You're doing phenomenal. I am so emotional. This doesn't need to make sense to me, but it does make sense to me. Yeah, that's a good way to put it. The added observation that I would share is like, yeah, you started pushing it off. Like you used to be so regimented about your pumping times and you'd be going like three, four hours passing you normally do it. And you turned to me like I was supposed to pump, you know. Four hours ago and that's when I was like, ooh, I think I see what's happening here.

So the emotional part of it, it's like I think the reason I was putting it off was because when I feel like I'm weaning off, I feel like I'm admitting to myself that my kids grown up, which I hate, like he's not a newborn anymore. So that's in a really emotional for me. And how does it feel now that you've decided to do it? It feels good because while it's sad on and hard on me physically, which I'll talk about how I feel emotionally. Well, it's not hard on me physically. Sorry, it's all on me emotionally. But I'll talk about that in a second. But I'm glad that I finally made the decision. And you know, my advice is always, if you're gonna stop pumping your breastfeeding doing it on a good day and I did start doing it on a good day, I did it on a, I was like, I'm happy to be doing it today. And from here, we're gonna start dwindling down. So today I didn't even pump this morning. I'm gonna see how it goes. I'm gonna have to pump once today, but I'm really trending down.

And how different does the responsibility of breastfeeding feel with your first baby versus your second baby? So different. Oh, that's such a good question. With Tate, it felt like a ton of bricks on me. And I was happy to be doing it and it's special and it's sweet and I think it's good for the babies. And you know what, actually with Tate, it was easier because it was all I was doing. I had one kid in one stage. I had, you know, it's all hands on deck when you have your first baby. With Rocky, you know, last night I met dance class. And then I'm up all night with Rocky. Like we're very, we're between two balance beams, right? And so it's like my, it's not all just this newborn bubble where you're breastfeeding and the environment like really is designed for that. Right now it's like we got chaos going on.

We're going to dance and we're going to do this. We're doing that. And like the pumping's not conducive to that. I love our stage of life right now. And one thing that was weighing me down was the pumping. And so I was just like, you know what? We're just gonna stop this and we're just gonna go. And I'm excited about that. Like I'm actually, I thought I was gonna cry talking about it today. I'm not, I'm very happy to be talking about it out loud and working through this because ultimately, yeah, it's gonna be, it's gonna be a good thing. And Rocky got, he got all his breast milkie. You've done a phenomenal job. How it feels on me emotionally though, this weaning off is harder than it was for Tate. So the way I do it is I drop a pump a week. So I've been doing this for the past two weeks and this is the third week. And I'm pumping twice a day now for around eight to 10 minutes. I just moved eight to 10 minutes in New York because the best thing that happened was I was away from Rocky for three days. And your baby triggers your supply. They trigger let downs. So being away from him, I was like, okay,

I really need to like lessen the amount of time than I'm pumping. So I did my work while we were gone. But now I'm only pumping morning and night. This morning though I didn't even do it. Like I was running out of time and I was like, let's just see how it feels. And I would say it feels fine actually. I think you've done a phenomenal job with it. And I really believe in you and I believe in you following your instinct. And so if your instincts are telling you the time is now. I have to do it at some point and this, the point is now. I'd love you know, sometimes I think I'll all delay it a little longer. Nope. Today's the day, honey. All right, let's move it along here. I have a question. What? I feel like you really trust your motherhood instincts. And I really trust your motherhood instincts. At what point did you know you could trust your motherhood instincts? Oh, what a good question. Well, it's funny.

Oh, I don't know. I can't answer that right now. Like there's so many times like part of me almost wasn't going to answer when tape was in the womb. And like I just felt so connected to her. Like I was just like, I know I've got this little girl. And then there was also the part where like she was really, really hysterically crying early on. I just took her upstairs in the room and I was like, breastfeeding her and talking to her. And then there's, there's all these moments. But my biggest point with this is the muscle grows. Is that the right, is that the right analogy? Like you, you have little muscles, you know, and when she's little, you're doing like the little weights, but I've seen the older she gets. Also, I'm able to say like, okay, I can redirect, like learning how to redirect her. So I'm gaining my motherhood confidence the more we get into it. But then there's also, I say that and then there's also times where I'm like, that was humbling. Yeah, no, it makes a lot of sense. The time that jumps out to me was what you just spoke to on. The first time she started like hysterically crying at home

and you took her to the room and come back. How did you know you could trust your fatherhood instincts? This is a tough question too because it's like, you know, you never know what the next day holds. And anything, you know, and you take her, I have to ball one minute and something can happen. But it doesn't still mean that you don't have great motherhood instincts. Like it's a very, very humanizing question. I almost think that watching you handle that first crying situation the way you did made me check myself on. Okay. Like if she can do it, I can do it. Aw. Cause I don't have that specific moment. Like where I took it on and I think from there, I just kind of said, all right, let's roll. Okay, let's be real. I wear the same handful of things over and over again. I have a whole closet and I reach for maybe the same five pieces. And here's the thing, those five pieces have to be good.

And that's what Quince does best. Quince makes elevated everyday essentials out of really premium materials like Mongolian, Kashmir, organic cotton and washable silk. That's right. You can actually wash the silk and it still looks really good. The designs are timeless and the quality is awesome. Like the clothes are actually made to be worn again and again and again. And they also have premium stretch denim leather bags, footwear and 14 karat gold jewelry that pulls a whole look together. You guys, you guys know I love a basic tea and a tank. My favorite right now is the cotton modal double scoop necktank. It's so chic, you guys. And you can wear it whenever you want. You wear it with jeans, you can wear it with leggings and it has become one of those five things that I reach for constantly. Here's the best part. Everything at Quince is priced 50 to 80% less than similar brands because they work directly with the ethical factories. So they cut out the middle man. So they cut, they pass down the savings to us and we're not paying the brand to mark up. And it's not just clothes. They do hotel, quality, bedding and bath kitchen essentials furniture.

That's QU I N C E dot com slash Alex. All right, Elizabeth Holmes documentary. I'm dying to see it. I can't believe I haven't yet. So I got a come down on over 16th. It hasn't come out. Okay, that's why I haven't seen it. So I'm I have two movie updates. Okay, we are getting a social network ask AI movie on Sam Altman. Oh, and AI. Okay, I mean, I love the social network. That I believe is coming out Christmas select theaters. I love Christmas day movie. Andrew Garfield Garfield. Andrew Garfield. Wait, is Sam. That Andrew Garfield portrays Sam Altman. What Andrew Garfield was in the social network now?

Oh my goodness, he was in both. Who was he in the social network? Eduardo Savarin, the co founder that sued Zuck. Yes, yes. This very this movie could be phenomenal. And then the very interestingly, the Elizabeth Holmes movie. Is it a movie or documentary? It's a documentary. Do you know Nathan Fielder is? He's like, he does a whole he does a lot of trolling, you know, really unique dry humor stuff. Who can you give us an example? That's Nathan, I think, is the show. Is that about himself? He does these like skits. Okay. He's comedian. Okay. The opening the trailer of this is probably the best trailers. It's the best trailers in all year. What do you do? What's the give us the pricers?

It's just him looking in Elizabeth Holmes eyes, trying to get an understanding of if she is being real or if she is just completely full of shit. And it is very, I think symbolic of the struggle that he goes through as he's filming on what is real and what is an act. But does he live with her for 34 days leading up to her sentence? Yes. So that's what the movie is. Is he spends 36 days with her before she goes to jail, including living in her home for a couple of days? And he's just filming her the whole time. I only saw the 20, you know, the 20, 30 second. She, she to me, because let's, let's, you know, I'm sure everyone knows. But what was it called? Theranos. Theranos, where she was like, help treating people with cancer. She was like testing.

They claimed that they could run all these tests on a singular drop of blood versus like having to get vials and vials and vials of blood felt. And in the, and in the movie that I watched or what, what did I watch? You probably, you, I think, listened to the podcast and then watched the drop out on Hula. Yeah. I think I watched the drop out and I think I also listened to the podcast. And what is, there was this, it seemed like she started out and she wanted to do something good. I don't know if she wanted to do something good as much as she wanted to just, I don't know if she wanted to do something good for people as much as she wanted to become someone. She was obviously obsessed with Steve Jobs. I mean, she dressed like him. So what's so, what is going to be so heart-tugging about the documentary I assume is did she know and then did she decide to keep going instead of admitting failure and going back to the drawing board? You know, this people like this, it's tough. What I read in this synopsis or the commentary from, I guess it debuted at, they debuted

at one of the film festivals and the people going in to watch it didn't know what they were going to see. So no one knew, very, very, no one knew about this essentially. Okay. About the documentary being filmed and people said they learned a lot in the documentary. So I think there's parts of the story that come out that we weren't familiar with before. How long is she going to jail for? A long time. I think it may be 11 years. Wow. 11 years. Yeah, 10 years and three months. The thing that I run that like, is that they're launching some new version of Theranos and that they talk about that in the documentary. Okay. Interesting. In theory, like, if Theranos can work, that's amazing. Like, I do want that. I want something like that in the healthcare system. Yeah. I just... Okay. Okay.

I don't know. All right. PBR Heist. There was a PBR truck that had a bunch of cases of beer and it was stolen. You're going to pivot this. Okay. Because you know what also happened overnight? Another Heist. There was another Heist in France. What was it? Our painting stolen. They got away with two of them. One of them. No. Did it get... Estimated over two million. The other 200,000. Oh, I thought you were going to say one of the paintings that they didn't get away with got damaged. No, I kind of sounded like they just, like they took four out, but could only get off it too. It feels like there's been this wake up call in France that these museums with millions and millions and millions of dollars of artwork just have very lackluster security.

And they'll... Actually, it feels like there has not been the wake up call. But maybe now would be the time to wake up. Well, the wake up call for the burglars. Oh. Because I feel like we're hearing about this more and more and more. And it's like, come on French museum people. Right. Like, let's get some security. Tind it up. What are we doing here? Well, you know, I think for a while. Nah. Because like the PBR would happen there. $70,000 a beer was stolen. That's a lot of beer. I believe it was the largest beer heist ever. And I'm waiting for the PBR marketing behind this to come out. You said this, like it is. Oh, what is it? What is that? They are like all of this like we're giving out what's it called? Oh my god. $20,000 a reward. Like $20,000. You have 18 days and 44 minutes to bring it back. That's like a nod to the year that they were founded. Like this is PBR's marketing is how we're hearing about this for the most part.

Okay. Here's my question. What are you going to do with all the beer? Like if you steal $70,000 worth of beer, like then I got to go sell it. I mean, like what am I going to do with it? So if they put out a $20,000 reward, I would just pick. I'll take the 20. I would take the truck back and then I found it. I found it on the side of the road. Yeah, there's definitely a stallion. Like, yeah. I assume there's a black market for this. For beer? Like who? Who's like, let's do beer. Like diamonds is a lot. It's like one trade. I assume that all that a lot of these things like happen from the inside out. And so you have someone who's working there and who sees or working in the industry, who sees a way to go and and sees like a hole in the supply chain. Yeah, the McDonald's thing. Pardon? Like the McDonald's thing. Like the McDonald's thing. Like the McDonald's thing. Mcmillions. Mcmillion. You're not playing there. Oh gosh. Too much too much to explain. Yeah.

Have they stopped McDonald's monopoly? Are they rigging it? I don't remember. They're, I don't remember. Okay. I watch the documentary on it. Okay, guys, listen up when I say this. Feeding decisions are not a one-time thing. You make them over and over and over again. Stage after stage day after day. And every time you think you figured it out, you move into a new phase and you're back to reading labels again. And that's why I love little spoon. Little spoon is there for every single stage. And I trust it each time over and over again. All of their baby and toddler products are tested for over 500 contaminants, including heavy metals. And they've been more than 100 ingredients across the board. So I'm not standing in an aisle over thinking a label because it's already been thought through for me. Right now, Tate is obsessed with the Yogo. She calls them Go-Gos. That's just what we're rolling within our house now. And we love the puffs. They are organic. They're made with simple ingredients and they're easy for the little hands to go in and grab. And it sounds like a small thing, but it's a huge deal.

The package is resealable. So like on the way to dance last night, I brought her some puffs. She didn't eat them all. We sealed them up. We went in advance. We came back out. Boom. She ate the rest of them, you guys. And they have the perfect thing for teething, which is these puffs because they're soft. And you can put them in your mouth and they can still eat them and it doesn't hurt them so much, you guys. Also they've got biteables that are cut into the perfect size for self-feeding, plates with hidden veggies for the picky stages and you want to get the veggies in. And so it changes as your kids grow. Eating the kid doesn't have to be complicated. Little spoon makes it easy with real nutritionally balanced meals and snacks designed for every stage. It shows up, ready to go, takes the pressure off and somehow still gets devoured, veggies and all. No artificial dives, flavors or sweeteners either. And you know what? That's a win. I'll take every time. Get 30% off your first online order at little spoon dot com slash two parents with code two parents. For 30% off your first order.

All right. So all in all, there was a there was a France Heist overnight and there was the PBR Heist. I don't either get in the beer back. I'm just going to assume that they're not. I would agree. My point on the marketing thing, Jules was more so like, I know they did the $20,000 thing to get it back. And say, no, all I'm saying is that to marketing seem it's not. They're not actually giving me that. But I thought it was like more to it. I thought there was more that could be done. Oh, okay. Well, what do you think could be done? Give us an example. So one in every a thousand cans says stolen on it. And if you get a stolen can, you get some form of price and something like that. And would that with the goal there then be to increase sales? Like then they what are you going to make some of your money back? I don't know. Who lost the money here? Pete. Guys, this whole time.

I thought we were okay. I get it now. Did you think of the rodeo? I thought it was professional bull riding and I thought that they had a shipment coming. And then like that shipment that they had bought. So what I was going to ask was who lost here? The beer can company themselves or PBR? Yeah, absolutely. Some non-alcs are stolen too. I think like some non-alcs, Omawaki or something. I was going to say PBR wasn't doing a good enough job. Like they could make more of a buzz here. We could put a cowboy on the can. Okay. Got it. I feel day with this. That thank you. That's it. Like I don't have the marketing idea, but I think it was more than just $20,000 to help on the reward. Like creating some heist store. I don't know. I feel bad that I'm stalling out now, but this feels like a marketing opportunity that fell in their lap where I would love to be seeing a little more.

I agree. They should do something. I don't know. If you run PBR's marketing, like do think of something cool because they don't pay us for that. They have a, and Mill Wauke, the PAPS mansion that you can go into. It's all decorated for Christmas time. I have my idea. I have my idea. I have my idea. Okay. I'm going to play into the PAPS mansion. Perfect. Heists are hot right now. They're very, very hot. People, and we've talked about this before, how good of a robber would you be? Could you execute it? So they should set up the PBR mansion, and they should set up like an entrapment, you know the movie entrapment? No. In Tournavon, Darius. No. So they should set something up, and you have to buy tickets and get in line. And they'll have a PBR beer can right in the middle. And if you can steer the beer can without setting off the alarm, then you win a $100,000

price or a million dollar price. Like create a heist for people to compete in that's obviously safe. Of course. At the PAPS mansion. That's pretty cool. Like feels very Mr. Beast-esque. Steal this can get a million dollars. Steal this can without getting caught, get a million dollars. Or you could bury the can just a little easier, bury the can, or put out five cans, like you were saying. And then PBR sales will go through the room because people are trying to get the can. Yeah. And if you get the can, you win the prize. Done. The only thing that they've added buying, there's some complexities with if you can't forcing entry through purchase is like tricky. So whatever. Save that for now. Well, we'll suspend our, what is it? So spend our disbelief. So spend our belief. Does that mean? No. No. Ship our belief. What? Like, we're like, I ship that. Not at all. I've been trying to. This is the time for them to recreate a highest experience for consumers.

That's the marketing opportunity. Didn't this snack recently get stolen too? Like goldfish or gushers or something? Oh, I don't know. Ooh, you are correct. What was it? I like, I think it was Kit Kat. It was. Or chocolate. No, I think you're right. It was a missing Kit Kat thing recently. And they never found them. In March of 2026, there was a truck in Italy that was hijacked of Kit Katz. Yeah. So to suspend your disbelief, this is our word of the week. It's intentionally set aside your logic, critical thinking, and real world expectations to accept the unreal or impossible events of a story. Okay. So say the word again, suspend your disbelief. Suspend disbelief. Suspend disbelief. Okay, make sense. Put a board here that just writes all of our fancy words. I have used collective evervessence. Just I really have. You have and I've tried and I forget it every time. I have worked that into like 10 to 12 sentences. Suspend disbelief. Yeah. Set aside your logic. Set aside your logic. Stop being the skunk at the garden party and just let us think we can do it.

Perfect. More so like that. Okay. Um, last thing we'll discuss wellness starties because these, I've been seeing these online. Basically colleges have started having darts day parties, but instead of them being like drinking beer pong parties, they are wellness parties. What I saw was a lot of people responding to that being like, don't know what a wellness startiest, but here's me in college back in 2016. And it's like somebody jumping on a table and like breaking it in half being like unclear what your dart what you guys are doing. But here's what we did. What do we think? My initial instinct without having seen the videos is the videos were created as trolls. No, no, they're not. If you invited me to a wellness starting college, I would have been like, thank you so much. I'm not going to be able to make it. And we could bring this to like what's going on in Austin like they're doing these all the time for adults, but I'm down to go do an adult one like I'm wondering in a way Harrison after they ran the high rocks, Jeff was like, we should do like some cold plunge.

Um, sauna situations on Saturday mornings. Like the older you get, the worse you feel for going out, which is why when you're in college, it's very important that you have fun and not do your wellness starties or you can do your wellness starties, but just I would say make sure you're doing both. Yeah, I don't think it's real. Okay, it is real. So suspend your disbelief. Correct. That it's put the side that you think it's fake. Yeah, that wouldn't be the darts I'd be going to. Nope. Okay. Okay. I'm going to go up up up up. That's a good way to wrap it. Okay. Can I do my things we deemed? Yes. You guys didn't let me tell you yesterday. Sure. So that I can say for the college. Oh my gosh. Yes. Okay. The Girl Scouts have dropped a new cookie. Okay. What do you guys think the cookie is? Protein. I think it's a protein cookie. You got to give us a hint. I thought I'd give you a hint. It's like it's going to be so clear.

So then take a step off the hint. I'm worried that it's like a, it's perhaps not for humans. A dog treat. Yeah. Oh my gosh. Those girls are so smart. I was just about to say like YouTube probably don't buy a lot of girls. That cookies now you will. Yeah. Now you will. Genius. Genius. Terrible hint. That was way too obvious. Well, I didn't know what you wanted me to say. I would have loved that here would have been a great hint. You guys won't buy this, but the neighbors would. Okay. That would have been a great hint. You're so right. It's always easy when it's not you, you know, like when you're not the one that has to think of it. Kind of like, you know, I was hard for you to think of the yard thing. This is very, very, very smart. Genius. Except you can only buy them online. Hate that. Why did they do that? I don't know. I almost, I'm very mad about that.

Next year though, I'm sure that the experience is you're supposed to get the door to door or like when you're going to the supermarket. People are saying these innovations are coming off the back of PIM. Remember PIM? And her mom? PIM? On TikTok? No. Yeah. You talk about her? Yes. Yes. Yes. Girl is like ripping through Girl Scout sales online. Yes, she was crushing it. They're saying that it's, this is all off the success of PIMs online sales. How could you sales going to be on TikTok shop? Talk about a way of crush. Great question. Talk about a way to monopolize the market. Okay. We love you guys. Thank you for listening.
