Yes, doctors are rightly loath to tell alcoholic patients the whole story unless it’ll serve some good purpose, but you may talk to him about the hopelessness of alcoholism because you offer a solution. I can talk to them about hopelessness because I know of hopelessness. And I can talk to you about a solution because I’m inhabited by one.”
