Joe explains, “It would have been impressive heroics if he’d walked up to the judge and said, ‘Here I am.’ Now they’re warning us against impressive heroics because if you’re trying to grow spiritually, impressive heroics are not what you’re trying to demonstrate. You’re trying to demonstrate humility in all things. So, we may have to go to the judge and say, ‘Here I am,’ but not before we’ve discussed other alternatives that will accomplish the same goal with somebody not quite as attached to the outcome as me.”
