“Remember, it was agreed at the beginning we would go to any lengths for victory over alcohol. It’s in italics, so let’s think about with whom we made that agreement. Yeah, that power within me—whatever you’re calling him, that power down on the inside—I made that agreement with him. We learned we had to fully concede to our innermost self. I had an encounter with power, and I made a commitment. I should keep it. It’s life-changing, but it’s real, is it not? Some of you are feeling the emphasis I’m putting on it because you need to. Once you’ve encountered that power, there ain’t nowhere to go but forward.”
