Police Reopen Tate Rape Case, Women Seek Justice

0:00On March 26, British police have reopened a rape investigation into Andrew Tate following a review by the police watchdog. The Hurtfordshire Constabulary first looked into allegations from three women back in 2015, but closed the case in 2019 without charges. Earlier this week, the Independent Office for Police Conduct announced its examining how officers handled the original probe. They say a former detective constable might face gross misconduct charges for failing to investigate properly and two former detective sergeants who, oversight, are also under review. The three women who came forward say the reopening is long overdue and they're still seeking justice for claims of rape, sexual abuse, and assault between 2013 and 2015. Tatees strongly denies everything. Meanwhile, this marks the third time police have investigated these same old claims and prosecutors twice decided there wasn't enough evidence. For, the women have a civil case set for June in the High Court.
